Chapter 380: Chapter 368 Returning to the Sea

Gary Keene provided a wheelchair, and then Chris pushed Yang Yi out of the ward with the wheelchair.

Neither Yang Yi nor Chris spoke a word, and the two of them remained silent all the way until they reached the outside of the hospital.

When Chris pushed Yang Yi to the side of the road, who knows how many jaws dropped in surprise.

"Sea God’s come out!"

After Xiao Ran couldn’t help but exclaim in astonishment, she quickly added another sentence.

"Chris brought out Sea God, just the two of them."

Zhang Yong was extremely surprised and said, "The swindler managed to coax the little guy out? Iron Fist, go and support, take Sea God away first."

Kate immediately drove off from her parking spot and stopped in front of Yang Yi.

Kate was very excited, extremely excited, and tears streamed down her face as she looked at Yang Yi.

Kate didn’t get out of the car, but a person very familiar to Yang Yi got out, and together with Chris, they lifted Yang Yi up and carried him onto the car.

Rodriguez was also very excited, but each time he wanted to speak, he was glared back into silence by Chris’s stern look. So Rodriguez could only nod vigorously at Yang Yi in excitement.

The wheelchair was left behind, and Kate waited for Yang Yi to get in the car before immediately starting the engine.

"Iron Fist has left, over."

Zhang Yong took a deep breath, then spoke in a low voice, "Blade Queen, follow and cover the rear."

Xiao Ran put away her gun, then crawled from the back of the truck to the driver’s seat, started her hidden compact van, and followed the car driven by Kate away from the hospital entrance.

"Blade Queen has evacuated, no one following, over."

Zhang Yong began to disassemble the rifle in his hands, then packed it into the tube bag he was carrying, stood up, left the shrubbery behind the ward, stretched, slung the tube bag over his shoulder, and started walking towards the outside of the hospital with a swagger.

In the hospital’s small garden, patients were taking a walk; a health worker pushing an elder in a wheelchair stared dumbfounded as Zhang Yong emerged from the shrubbery and then watched as Zhang Yong passed in front of them.

"Hi, I wish you a speedy recovery."

Zhang Yong smiled and greeted the two startled people, took off the camouflage net on his head, then walked a few steps, stuffed the net into a trashcan, and with a group of patients watching, he put the tube bag at his feet, took off his ghillie suit, and stuffed it into the garbage bin.

After straightening his hair and adjusting his slightly wrinkled clothes, he picked up the tube bag again, slung it on his back, turned towards the ward windows, waved his hand, and then swaggered off.

Gary Keene was sitting in the ward where Yang Yi had just been lying.

"Sir, he has left, codename C took him away."

Gary Keene nodded slightly.

After a moment, another subordinate entered the ward and said to Gary Keene, "Sir, codename A has left."

Gary Keene still just nodded.

After a little while, a person hurried into the ward and said to Gary Keene in an urgent voice, "Sir, someone just left the garden behind the ward; should we stop him!"

Gary Keene raised his head in surprise and said to his somewhat ashamed subordinate, "There was someone hiding in the back garden?"

"Yes, he was hiding in the thuja bushes of the garden, just now, he left the shrubbery where he was hiding, and even greeted us..."

The ashamed subordinate finished his story, lifted his head, and said angrily, "Should we stop him?"

Gary Keene said coldly, "I remember asking you guys to check the garden."

"Yes, but the shrubbery was too dense, I didn’t have a thermal imager at the time, but I should have used a thermal imager to search more carefully, I’m sorry..."

Gary Keene looked at his subordinates once more, and then he waved his hand and said, "Don’t intercept, what’s the point in intercepting?"

After speaking, Gary Keene raised his voice and loudly said, "Aaron."

"Sir."

A middle-aged man walked in from outside the door, and Gary Keene casually said, "Somebody’s been hiding out in the garden outside our window, and we haven’t spotted him for days. Now that he’s leaving, send someone reliable to greet him, just to show we’ve been watching him, to save some face at least."

"Should we intercept him?"

"Don’t intercept, just greet him for dignity’s sake. Send someone clever, and make it quick, or he’ll be out of the hospital doors."

The subordinate immediately picked up the walkie-talkie, talking while walking briskly away.

Gary Keene looked at his subordinate, who was still ashamed, thought for a moment, and whispered, "This is a serious dereliction of duty."

"Yes, sir."

"How long have you been under my command?"

"Three years and eight months, Private."

Gary Keene sighed and said, "You have a problem with your work attitude. I’ve warned you once before, and now it seems you’re not suitable for working in my department, so apply for a transfer. I suggest you move to the logistics department; the workload there is less. Of course, you can go wherever you like once you leave my department. This is just a personal suggestion."

"Sir!"

"Hmm?"

"I... I am sorry, sir. I’ll submit my application right away. Sorry, sir."

Gary Keene waved his hand dismissively, watching his subordinate, who was consumed with a mix of shame and anger, leave the ward. His facial expression remained unchanged, but his right hand suddenly clenched tight.

He relaxed his right hand, clenched it again, relaxed it again, and after repeating this several times, Gary Keene finally let out a soft sigh of relief and then he pulled out his phone to make a call.

"Boss."

"What’s the status?"

"The individual has been let go. Everything is normal for now. The bait has been released back into the sea."

"Can we lift the threat alert?"

"Not just yet, but I don’t foresee any further issues."

"Notify me immediately if there’s any news."

Gary Keene hung up the call, then he leaned back in his chair completely.

After quietly waiting for twenty minutes, someone knocked on the door, and Gary Keene said loudly, "Come in."

A subordinate entered and spoke gravely, "Sir, we received a call. Following the call’s tip, we found a bomb in a trash can on one side of the Big Ben bridge. It was made with common chemical substances but was quite powerful. It’s a very clear CIA style, and the timer was already deactivated when we found it."

"Understood."

Heaving a long sigh of relief, Gary Keene called the number he had dialed earlier, and then he spoke gravely, "Boss, the alert has been resolved."

"Is it confirmed?"

"It’s confirmed."

"Good."

After a moment’s hesitation, Gary Keene continued, "Now I’m certain that the bait is very valuable, or else our old friends wouldn’t have such a firm stance. I request to continue the pursuit of the bait that’s entered the sea. I’ll handle it alone."
