As Xiao Ran retreated into the room with her gun raised, upon seeing the scene and especially the blood on Yang Yi, Kate suddenly turned her head away. Then, exhaling sharply, she said, "You’re okay, right?"

Xiao Ran spoke in a deep voice, "Move quickly, I’ll go back out and cover you."

Xiao Ran went out again because she couldn’t stand the room filled with blood.

Yang Yi sighed; he didn’t want to say anything more to Bass to vent his hatred. Now, such words had no meaning; he just wanted to clear up a few things.

Bass chuckled, blood continuously bubbling out of his mouth, so when he laughed soundlessly, more blood bubbles oozed out.

Kate took a deep breath, then she lowered the gun aimed at Bass and said softly, "Just let him die..."

Bass was sure to die, and it would happen soon. Yang Yi didn’t comment on Kate’s choice because adding one more bullet before Bass’s death didn’t really matter much.

Kate turned around, her gun hanging down, but upon seeing Yang Yi, she suddenly exclaimed, "No! That won’t do!"

Kate suddenly reached out and took the knife from Yang Yi’s hand, then she turned around and put the gun back in her waistband.

As Bass lay on the ground, Kate walked over to his head, squatted down, grabbed Bass’s hair, and yanked him up, then she placed the knife against his neck.

Kate nodded, then she looked at Brian and whispered, "Thank you."
