Yang Yi was now on the same street as Kate, just separated by a few houses.

Paul set up his AWM firing position in the room next door, and then he too whispered into the walkie-talkie, "Holy Water in position, over."

Charles slipped a handgun into his waistband, picked up the signal tracker, and Brian put a submachine gun in a shoulder bag, hiding his pistol and grenades on his body, before the two of them left the house together.

Zhang Yong concealed a submachine gun under his trench coat, then attached two pistols and several smoke grenades to his person, while Yang Yi hid a knife on his body, a small knife he bought in London, aside from carrying a Glock 17 and two magazines as well.

After quietly waiting for about twenty minutes, Yang Yi heard Charles’s voice in his earpiece.

"Skin Peel in position, signal link is established, all set, over."

Mike checked his watch and spoke into the walkie-talkie in a serious tone, "It’s eleven fifty-five, attention all cover personnel, Sea God is preparing to leave, Gambler on guard duty, over."

After finishing, Mike waved his hand; Yang Yi took a deep breath, walked to the door, and opened it.

Yang Yi moved quickly, with Zhang Yong following closely behind him. They descended the stairs together, leaving Charles’s rented house and stepping onto the street.

The street was nearly deserted at midnight. Yang Yi and Zhang Yong hurried towards the beautiful restaurant, which of course was already closed, but the hotel where Kate stayed would not shut its doors.

Yang Yi and Zhang Yong entered the hotel, which didn’t occupy an entire building but just a few floors, having its own entrance and elevator for access.

Yang Yi and Zhang Yong stepped into the elevator and then arrived at the hotel lobby on the designated floors.

Of course, the hotel still had staff on duty. When they saw Yang Yi and Zhang Yong, a waiter stopped them in the lobby and smiled, "Sorry, may I ask if you two are checking in?"

Yang Yi shook his head and replied, "No, I’m here to visit someone."

When Yang Yi gave out Kate’s room number, the waiter’s face changed. As a hotel staff member, he naturally knew about Kate’s situation—although he might not be aware of all the details, he understood that Kate’s visitors were certainly not ordinary.

The waiter stepped back and gestured to the receptionist at the service desk before ceasing to ask further questions.

Normally, the reception should at least make a call to inquire whether Kate wanted to receive visitors, but now all procedures were waived. Yang Yi went alone towards Kate’s room at a brisk pace while Zhang Yong sat down on a sofa in the hotel lobby.

Arriving at Kate’s door, Yang Yi stopped, lifted his hand, but hesitated for a long time before the doorbell in front of him before he finally pressed it.

The doorbell rang, and soon after, Kate’s voice was heard.

"Who is it?"

Kate’s voice was alert, Yang Yi replied softly, "It’s me."

The door immediately opened.

Kate was dressed in sportswear—just the undergarments—and was drenched in sweat, wetting the clothes through.

Kate stared blankly at Yang Yi for a long time without moving. Yang Yi stepped forward into the room and spoke softly, "I’m here, I’m sorry for making you..."

Kate suddenly hugged Yang Yi tightly, clinging on.

These days, Yang Yi certainly had to call Kate to tell her about his plans, but he didn’t tell Kate that the meeting time was today.
