Yang Yi knew that Brian was very anxious, and Brian was the kind of person who completely disregarded others’ lives; if he didn’t care about life itself, he naturally cared even less about trivial matters.

All Brian wanted was to quickly take Black Lightning away, whether by deception or abduction, but Yang Yi didn’t plan to do that because he had more important things to figure out.

Shaking his head at Brian, Yang Yi looked towards Black Lightning and said, "We’re here to ask you for help with something, so we came to request your assistance."

"Request? Jumping through my window in the middle of the night, and you call that a request? A proper invitation should at least come during daylight."

"Uh, we did plan to come during the day, but there was a strike in France, so we only got here at night. I’m sorry for jumping through your window in the middle of the night."

Black Lightning waved his hand dismissively, whispering, "It’s okay, because I’ve been sentenced to community service. I need to be under social supervision, learning in a designated place. I’m busy during the day; you wouldn’t find me even if you came. Night is better. I don’t mind."

Black Lightning said urgently, "Isn’t it obvious? I’m now banned from touching computers, game consoles, smartphones—in short, anything that can go online."

Black Lightning exhaled and then whispered, "My name is Schultz Steinmeyer. Lothar is my brother, well, my non-blood-related brother. He’s always bullied me because he’s jealous of me, so when he discovered I was a hacker beyond his imagination, he reported me to the police."

"A non-blood-related brother... what’s that supposed to mean?"

Schultz raised his hand and said, "My father died when I was very young, and my mother took me and married Ismail Turan. Ismail Turan is a Turkish man, a furniture dealer. He divorced his wife, and my mother married him. You know how bad this is?"

Schultz, visibly irritated, gesticulated and continued, "Ismail has two sons. The elder son is about my age but a few months older. Two years ago, my mother also passed away, but I still have to stay in this family because Ismail Turan is now my legal guardian."

Brian smirked and said, "Sounds like a really bad family. Your childhood must have been miserable."

Schultz grimaced and said, "Lothar is an idiot, but he’s one meter ninety tall. Zelda is also an idiot, but he’s one ninety-two, two years younger than me, yet he insists I call him ’big brother.’ Damn, it really is terrible."

Using his hand to gesture towards himself, Schultz said helplessly, "After my mother died, I wanted to escape this family but I had no money. I’m still in high school, and I need to go to college. I need Ismail to provide for my college tuition, but that idiot Lothar snitched on me, and now the internet here is cut off. You get it? My computer was confiscated, and worst of all, I’ve been cut off from any online access in this house. Lothar and Zelda despise me to death."

Schultz was stunned for a moment, then said, "Leave grandiosely?"

Yang Yi nodded, "That’s right. It could be very impressive, or very terrifying. You can imagine a scenario for yourself. We’ll help you. In any case, I don’t think it’s good for you to just sneak away. Since you hate Lothar and Zelda so much, I’m willing to help you get even."
