Chapter 176: Chapter 175 Don’t Talk, Just Act

Yang Yi might seem like the boss on the surface, but it was Brian who led the actions, and Yang Yi was very aware of this.

Lack of experience is just that, and there’s nothing shameful about it. In any industry, pretending to understand when you don’t is a major mistake, so Yang Yi didn’t mind being in the position of a learner at all.

However, Brian was very careful to maintain the dignity of Yang Yi as the boss.

Chris followed someone into a two-story building commonly seen in Tijuana. The front door of the building looked particularly sturdy with a security camera mounted outside. Although he hadn’t approached for a closer observation, it was obvious there were people behind that metal door.

It was unclear how many people were inside, but the metal door seemed very strong, and it was certain that the people inside were armed.

The scene looked like a fortress that needed to be taken by force, and for Yang Yi, it was indeed a fortress.

Yang Yi looked at Brian, who whispered, "We have a chance to get inside, so the metal door isn’t too big of a problem. Judging by the size of the building, there can’t be too many people inside, at most a dozen or so, which should be easy to deal with. Later, when we go in, we just have to start firing."

Yang Yi whispered, "But if Chris is still inside when we storm in, he’s done for, and if we go in, we’re definitely going to get searched."

Brian shook his head, "As long as Chris is smart enough, he will come out personally to invite us in. At that point, you guys don’t need to worry. If Chris can’t come out, then we’ll go in. What does it matter if we don’t have guns?"

Brian had extreme confidence. Yang Yi felt that it seemed a bit too risky, but he decided to follow Brian’s lead.

Indeed, it wasn’t long before Chris went up that the metal door opened again, and a Mexican man came out and shouted at Yang Yi and his group, "You’re to come up, hurry!"

Brian drew his pistol, placed it in Gweil’s hands, and then said softly, "I’ll go in alone, you guys wait for me outside."

Yang Yi grabbed hold of Brian and whispered, "I’m going too!"

Without a second thought, Brian replied, "Fine, we’ll both go in. When I say the word, just shoot the people closest to you, remember, aim to kill!"

Yang Yi also handed his gun to Hank, certain to be searched; there was no way he could take the gun inside, so it was better left with Hank for safekeeping.

Brian looked at Hank and whispered, "You two provide backup outside."

He said no more, and Brian and Yang Yi immediately walked toward that metal door.

The metal door was indeed thick, and there really were two people behind it. They sat in the hallway behind the door, with two chairs placed there, and submachine guns resting on the chairs.

A Mexican man gestured for Yang Yi to raise his hands, then conducted a thorough search from top to bottom.

At the same time, Brian was also being meticulously searched, but when the Mexican searching him reached Brian’s waist, Brian suddenly grabbed the Mexican’s wrist, then slowly shook his head and whispered in English, "You can’t touch this."

Brian reached inside his jacket and took out a block wrapped several layers in a plastic bag, quite heavy. He lifted the plastic bag, saying, "You may continue now."

"Money?"

"Yes."

The man searching Brian patted him down thoroughly once more, then nodded. Immediately afterwards, Yang Yi and Brian were led up to the second floor.

There were several rooms on the second floor. The large living room was foul and smoky. A Mexican man with a small mustache, who looked very fierce, was sitting on the sofa. Behind him stood three men, and there was another person sitting on the sofa to the right. Fortunately, none of them were holding guns in their hands, but they all had guns at their waists, with the handles sticking out conspicuously.

Brian and Yang Yi stood in the center of the living room, and Chris nodded at Brian. At that moment, the Mexican man on the sofa said indifferently, "Is it them?"

Chris nodded and said, "Yes..."

Chris had only spoken one sentence when Brian suddenly spun around and elbowed the Mexican standing beside him in the throat, then reached out and snatched a pistol from the man’s waist as he was collapsing to the ground.

He drew the gun, racked the slide, turned around, and opened fire on the several astonished Mexicans.

Three sharp shots rang out, and the three men, who were still reaching for their guns, were dead before they could even draw them.

The boss who had been sitting on the sofa had just managed to get up. As he tried to roll behind it, Brian’s gun fired, blowing the head off the boss who had hoped to take cover.

Another shot killed the Mexican sitting next to the boss. Then Brian dashed forward two steps, pulled another pistol from the body that was now a corpse, and burst into a room.

Two more shots. Brian came out quickly, kicked open another door, but immediately dodged back behind the wall.

A blast of shotgun fire erupted, shredding the sofa to pieces. Yang Yi and Chris were forced to flee in panic.

After a moment, amidst the clamor of shouting, someone armed with a shotgun rushed out. Brian, from the side, blew the head off the person who burst from the bedroom, then darted back in, and after a woman’s scream, fired two more shots.

Brian didn’t enter the bedroom; he threw away one of his pistols, took another from a body, and dashed out again. Downstairs, there were panic-stricken shouts and the sound of a submachine gun firing, but it all abruptly stopped.

With the gunfire gone, a deadly silence fell, leaving five more corpses in the living room and blood everywhere.

Then footsteps broke the brief silence. Brian walked briskly back up to the second floor, not sparing a glance for Yang Yi and Chris, nor speaking, and entered a bedroom directly.

Shortly after, Brian emerged from the bedroom, then methodically checked all the other rooms. Soon, gunshots rang out again from a small chamber.

When Brian emerged this time, he nodded to Yang Yi and said gravely, "All clear. Call people up, let’s find the money."

Chris stared at Brian with the disbelief of someone meeting him for the first time, tongue-tied, "Just, just like that..."

Yang Yi swallowed and whispered, "At least keep someone alive to ask where the money is..."

Brian shook his head, "No need for that, Chris, go call the others. Hank will definitely find the money."

Chris ran out quickly, and then Brian turned to Yang Yi. Checking the magazine of his pistol, he tucked it into his waistband and said gravely, "Don’t you watch movies? The big villains always die because they talk too much. It’s just a robbery; spare the nonsense and get to business, unless you want to be that villain who dies for talking too much."
