Chapter 1353: Chapter 1358 Great Shield

Vienna, it can’t be said to have been extremely tough, but Yang Yi indeed struggled to reach Vienna.

There was no hail of bullets, just a single misstep would mean all previous efforts were wasted. So, although there weren’t any real battles along the way, the psychological pressure on Yang Yi was immense.

Now, he finally arrived in Vienna.

Find the person Yassen mentioned, and it would all be over. If he can’t find them...

How can he not find them? Yang Yi was convinced he could.

Bruno Osmo, Teutonic Knights, these were the two most crucial words; Aaron said it shouldn’t be hard to find.

After arriving in Vienna by car, Yang Yi was utterly exhausted, but he still first drove straight to the German Knights’ headquarters.

The Teutonic Knights have a long history, but their glory and battles are past tense. After being renamed the German Knights in 1929, the Teutonic Knights could be considered disbanded or merely renamed, depending on people’s beliefs.

Yang Yi found the headquarters of the German Knights, but he didn’t go in.

Annastasia had already helped with preliminary investigations. Since she said there was no one named Bruno in the German Knights’ headquarters, that should mean there isn’t. If Yang Yi continues searching, he won’t simply go into the headquarters and grab someone to ask.

Let’s take a tour of the area first, maybe there will be some discovery.

Yang Yi drove around the area, then parked the car, dragging his weary body around the vicinity of the German Knights’ headquarters.

What traces to find, Yang Yi himself didn’t know. He simply believed that as long as he came here and looked carefully, he was bound to discover something. This belief wasn’t due to confidence in himself but in Aaron.

Surely, they wouldn’t give a contact’s name without an address, right? Since there was no address given, it means it’s unnecessary to give one. Yang Yi had always firmly believed this.

Unfortunately, after going in a big circle, there was nothing discovered.

Yang Yi was almost ready to give up. He planned to settle in first because he was really tired and could resume the search after resting.

One last look around near the German Knights’ headquarters yielded no discovery. Yang Yi eyed the few shops across the street, planning to enter and have a look.

Yang Yi was looking for a symbol or emblem of the Teutonic Knights. It’s unlikely for there to be a flag proudly displayed, but finding a secret symbol might reveal the place.

Unfortunately, he saw nothing.

"I’m going to check inside some stores; if there’s nothing, I’ll leave first."

Yang Yi said briefly over the walkie-talkie. Brian was accompanying him, providing covert protection while also helping to look for traces of the Teutonic Knights, but he too found nothing.

"Received."

Yang Yi intended to enter a store; directly opposite the German Knights’ headquarters was a music store. Vienna, known as the City of Music, having a music shop was not interestingly peculiar. To the left of the music store was a café, and to the right, an antiquity shop; all seemed quite characteristic.

The antiquity shop was worth a look first. Yang Yi strolled in; there was only an old man overseeing the shop. Upon noticing Yang Yi entering, he merely nodded out of courtesy without tending to him.

The Teutonic Knights had established nations and still had industries continuing operations. It was reasonable to find antiquities left by the Teutonic Knights, wasn’t it?

However, inside the antiquity shop, Yang Yi found nothing related to the Teutonic Knights.

It’s peculiar to think about it; an antiquity shop across from the German Knights’ headquarters with no Teutonic Knights relics inside—that’s what made it strange!

Yang Yi originally wanted to strike up a conversation with the shopkeeper but hesitated and instead turned towards the adjacent music store.

Inside the music store was also a singular attendant, a middle-aged lady, who greeted Yang Yi politely yet unenthusiastically, making no findings either.

Next door, the café revealed even less.

But upon exiting the café, Yang Yi mentally reviewed the layout and color of the three shops and began to feel he was in the right place.

Individually, each store posed no particular problem, but when viewed collectively, the features were quite conspicuous.

Not only were these three shops housed within the same old building, but the floors of the two adjacent shops were paved with gray marble, while the central music shop’s floor was set in white marble and black granite.

White base and black cross, the symbol of the Teutonic Knights.

Though one can’t perceive it from street level, Yang Yi’s mind worked differently. It was a simple technique, piecing three pictures together to form one, like viewing a pattern from above.

Yang Yi constructed a model in his mind and upon inspection, confirmed the floors of the three shops combined to form the flag of the Teutonic Knights, even without seeing the full appearance—there was no need to, right?

Yang Yi stepped into the central music store, found the female attendant, and directly inquired in German, "Hello, I am looking for Mr. Bruno Osmo."

Directly speaking, without pleasantries.

The female attendant glanced at Yang Yi, then continued smiling, "May I ask what business you have with Mr. Osmo?"

"Yes, I have something very important to discuss with him. If he’s available, please have him meet with me."

Yang Yi wasn’t sure if he could meet Bruno, but when the attendant spoke, his heart eased; it’s indeed here, and it was straightforward.

"Alright, please follow me."

Without any announcement needed, the female attendant led Yang Yi straight to the back.

Yang Yi had expected it to be simple, but it seemed almost unbelievable in its simplicity.

It was right on the first floor, just behind the shop, where a door stood ajar. Behind a massive oak desk, a gray-haired old man with glasses was engrossed in a thick book.

Knocking on the open door, the female attendant softly said, "Mr. Osmo, this gentleman is here to see you. I brought him directly."

Despite its straightforwardness, Yang Yi began to feel nervous.

Bruno lifted his head, took a look at Yang Yi, then removed his glasses, stood up, and smiled, "Please come in."

The female attendant smiled at Yang Yi. He nodded and entered the room.

Bruno walked around from behind the desk, extended his hand towards Yang Yi, shook hands proactively, and smiled, "Sorry, have we met before?"

"No, we haven’t."

"Oh, then what brings you to me?"

Yang Yi didn’t reply immediately. He examined the room’s arrangements: a bookshelf sat behind a chair, and beside it in the corner, stood a full suit of knight armor, in front of which was placed a large shield with a white base and black cross.
