Chapter 1177: Chapter 1182: An Irresistible Force
The Organization of Water’s strengths need to be reiterated. Not only are they excellent at gathering intelligence and conducting transactions, but they are also exceptionally skilled in combat. Though they aren’t a group of professional fighters reliant solely on brute force, the Organization of Water is undeniably formidable.
Yang Yi charged inside, raising his pistol. Before he could even fire a shot using his instinctive gun skills, four men within his line of sight fell to the ground.
All of them were taken down by Stone Statue alone.
"It’d be fascinating to see him compete with Gong Yang to see who’s the better shot."
This thought fleetingly crossed Yang Yi’s mind as he rushed forward, following Zhang Yong and Paul.
A clinic doesn’t necessarily have to be small. While most clinics are indeed smaller than hospitals, some private clinics in the United Kingdom can rival hospitals in scale—it’s not an absolute rule.
The clinic Yang Yi and his team had stormed was of mid-range size in terms of clinics, employing around thirty to forty staff and housing about twenty inpatient beds. It wasn’t huge but clearly high-end, and high-end clinics often come with substantial facilities.
They had just entered the clinic lobby and already took down four men. But how did they determine those people’s identities?
There was no meticulous verification involved—just the obvious observation that these men were thugs guarding the site. With Stone Statue’s quick action, they were each dispatched with precision.
After all, it was still a clinic. While illegal organ transplants might be conducted here, the clinic certainly operated legitimate businesses as a front. As such, there were likely ordinary patients and uninformed medical staff present.
Yang Yi didn’t want to commit indiscriminate killing, but he held no objections to Stone Statue’s judgment.
Those four men clearly weren’t good people. Under present circumstances, with a sinister organ transplant underway, eliminating every threat was the logical move.
Yang Yi strode onward, readying himself for the real challenge ahead.
A white man in a black suit peeked out to glimpse Yang Yi’s team, then quickly retracted his head. Instead of panicked shouting, silence followed.
These people weren’t Shahed’s underlings—how was this deduced? Their demeanor was the key.
The brief appearance of the man exhibited his observational prowess. His actions were swift, decisive, and unhesitating. Upon detecting danger, his immediate choice was to signal an alert rather than wasting time figuring out the specifics—how many intruders were there, what exactly was happening.
With just one look, he identified the primary threat. The fine details could be sorted later, but conveying the essential information took priority.
No sound meant there was no panic among those inside.
Yang Yi exchanged a glance with Brian, their eyes betraying a certain seriousness.
"Professional bodyguards."
"More than that."
Brian moved his gun to a position offering cover, then spoke to Yang Yi. "They’re not just bodyguards—these are seasoned men accustomed to high-stakes situations. Regularly frequenting extremely dangerous places, they haven’t yet assessed our identity or capabilities. But regardless of who we are, they remain unflustered because of their absolute confidence in their own strength."
Yang Yi tilted his head slightly and asked, "Continue?"
"Continue. He’s confident, but we’re more confident."
With those faintly uttered words, Brian exhaled and gestured with his hand, saying, "Treat it as an assault mission—there shouldn’t be too many of them."
Paul and Black Jack, both gripping rifles, swiftly positioned themselves for attack. Stone Statue sluggishly replaced a magazine before murmuring, "You’d better hold your ground."
Black Jack nodded lightly, then casually tossed a flashbang grenade forward.
As the deafening burst echoed, Black Jack and Paul crouched low and darted out simultaneously while Stone Statue charged forward, pistol in hand.
Gunfire erupted intensely. Paul and Black Jack’s barrage didn’t cease, indicating they hadn’t neutralized all enemies immediately. Yet Stone Statue seemed impervious to the flying bullets, suddenly halting where he stood and, after a brief pause, firing his first shot.
That single shot silenced the gunfire completely.
Stone Statue began advancing steadily forward while Paul and Black Jack flanked him, maintaining their position ahead of him as they moved.
The corridor was empty, save for a severed hand at the far end, blood still dripping from it.
Paul said gravely, "Just one person tried to resist. I think it was the bodyguard of a client undergoing organ transplantation."
Brian replied indifferently, "He’s done for."
Indeed, no matter who was undergoing an organ transplant in that operating room, they were doomed.
A heart transplant isn’t something that can just be completed in mere moments. Once the operation halts, survival is impossible—their own guards didn’t even have the chance to evacuate them.
As for thwarting the Organization of Water from invading the operating room, that kind of scenario was simply out of the question.
The trio—Paul, Black Jack, and Stone Statue—advanced cautiously, ever alert for a grenade that might be thrown their way. However, considering these bodyguards were hired to accompany their boss for surgery, it was highly unlikely they’d carry grenades.
"Stop! Whoever you are, we can negotiate!"
A voice called out from the far end of the corridor. The speaker didn’t reveal himself, knowing that stepping out would mean certain death. Instead, he spoke from his position, hoping to halt the impending clash.
"Whatever your purpose might be, we’re merely patients here for surgery. I want to understand your objective."
None of them—Paul, Black Jack, or Yang Yi—responded, but Brian shouted back, "We’re here for Shahed; no one else matters. If you’re with him, get ready to die. If not, reveal yourselves and get the hell out."
"We have nothing to do with Shahed! He’s here; I just saw him moments ago. But once the gunfire began, he started planning his escape. We’re just patients undergoing surgery. My boss is a person of status—can you avoid the surgery area? We’ll pretend none of this ever happened."
Brian gestured to Yang Yi, who understood instantly, and along with Zhang Yong and Jackson, he sprinted toward another direction.
Brian shouted again, "Fine! We’ll take a look. Our target is Shahed. If he’s nowhere near you..."
Before Brian finished speaking, Paul and Black Jack sprang out suddenly, rifles ready, and began firing indiscriminately.
Brian’s attempt to distract the enemy didn’t matter to their approach—they weren’t about to halt that easily. This wasn’t the kind of operation where there could be halfway retreats.
As for Yang Yi, he had no clue what chaos was unfolding near the operating room. What he did know, however, was that Shahed, upon hearing gunfire, had abandoned his clients in favor of fleeing. This meant two things: first, Shahed didn’t have many guards, and those he did have weren’t formidable; second, Shahed wanted to run—and Yang Yi had to ensure Shahed didn’t get away.
