Chapter 1167: Chapter 1172 No Plan
When Kate arrived with a few members of the Magic Box Squadron, Yang Yi didn’t hesitate and tightly hugged Kate.
Before, he had to consider Xiao Ran’s feelings, and whenever Xiao Ran was around, Yang Yi didn’t dare to be too close to Kate. But now, Yang Yi felt that since their relationship was clear, hiding it further would truly be meaningless.
As Yang Yi and Kate embraced tightly, Xiao Ran and Bonnie, trailing behind them, simultaneously let out disdainful snorts.
Xiao Ran and Bonnie couldn’t help but exchange a glance, then both turned their heads aside and inwardly scoffed again.
The feeling that the whole world is your romantic rival is truly unpleasant.
"Did you miss me?"
"I did."
"I missed you too, missed you very much..."
Yang Yi and Kate were oblivious to everything around them; Zhang Yong couldn’t help but cough lightly twice, followed by Brian.
Yang Yi released Kate but still held her hand. Smiling at the team, he said, "Our target today is Bashanov. The Dark Night Knight has already set out. Once the Russian Gang is drawn away by them, we’ll move in to capture Bashanov. Maintain complete silence during the operation. Unless we encounter an extreme danger, firing is strictly prohibited. Everyone, stay focused."
The Organization of Water was finally gathering to accomplish something big, though Anton was still missing.
But the Organization of Water’s action squad was finally about to engage in a tough battle. At least the Magic Box Squadron could finally see some action.
The once strongest strike force of the CIA, now under the Organization of Water’s command, preparing for their debut—it’s truly exciting just to think about.
Brian looked toward a few old comrades in the Magic Box Squadron and said calmly, "We didn’t do anything when we went to Italy, just traveled around. This time is different. We need to give our best performance. This is what we’re good at. No need for extra words. Let’s move now."
Yang Yi and Zhang Yong walked together. This time, as they faced off against the Russian Gang, neither of their skin tones could provide any sort of camouflage—after all, the Russian Gang was already in combat with the Dark Night Knight.
Brian and his Magic Box Squadron drove two cars ahead, while Yang Yi and his group of six followed in two cars behind.
Of course, Yang Yi was in the same car as Kate.
Now, Yang Yi felt particularly guilty toward Kate. His heart was filled with remorse, so much so that he didn’t even know what to say.
With one hand on the steering wheel and the other holding Kate’s hand, he followed Brian’s car closely.
From a distance, Brian and his team stopped their car. Brian was the first to get out.
Brian, at this moment, truly seemed radiant with confidence.
He glanced back at the other car, knowing that Anna was inside. With a suave gesture, he waved and shouted, "Let’s go."
Brian and Paul walked side by side. Black Jack, Stone Statue, and Jackson followed directly behind them—five men heading straight toward Norfrentz Palace.
"Boss, we haven’t done an interior reconnaissance of the area yet. Should we scout first?"
Brian glanced at Paul and replied quietly, "I went out of my way to bring Anna here, and you want me to tell her to wait another two hours so we can scout? Really?"
Paul hesitated and said in a low voice, "Boss, I understand how you feel. But skipping necessary preparation could lead to mistakes—the more you want to impress Anna, the less room there is for error."
Brian shrugged and said, "I know what to do. The thing is, our opponent is the Russian Gang—it’s a criminal gang! And us? We’re the Magic Box!"
Paul nodded sincerely and said, "Exactly, our opponent is the Russian Gang, just a gang. So, what’s your plan?"
Brian, with a confident expression, said, "Plan? Go in, grab him, and bring him out. No special strategy needed. If we have to tread carefully to handle a gang boss, then we’re just pathetic."
Paul turned toward the group and asked in a deep voice, "Guys, what do you think?"
"Go in, grab him, leave."
Stone Statue’s response, as always, was concise. Black Jack shrugged and said, "He’s right."
With no plan at all, they launched ahead without a plan.
The five arrived at Norfrentz Palace’s entrance. The nightclub was already in full swing, and Brian stood at the entrance observing for a moment, then shook his head and said, "I don’t like clubs, but going in through the club takes us straight to Bashanov’s residence. That part should be accurate."
Paul spoke sternly, "Yes, according to the intel we obtained, this information is reliable."
"Alright then, let’s go in."
Brian was the first to enter. The blaring music made him slightly uncomfortable. Nightclubs—clearly not the kind of place someone his age should frequent.
He took a deep breath, watching the writhing bodies on the dance floor, and said, "Let’s find that door and head upstairs to get Bashanov."
Stone Statue raised his hand and pointed. "I see it already."
The music was deafening, the lighting dim. Norfrentz Palace wasn’t immensely popular as a nightclub, but there were still plenty of people—at least two hundred dancing.
In the dim lighting, a tightly shut iron door could be seen. No one guarded the door; it looked deceptively easy to access.
Jackson scanned his surroundings and then shouted to Brian, "The security personnel here are average, but there are noticeably fewer Russian Gang members."
"The Dark Night Knight has drawn them away. If we don’t succeed now, it’ll be embarrassing. Let’s wrap this up quickly," Brian said.
Jackson nodded and approached the iron door alone. He pushed it, fiddled with the handle, and it opened effortlessly.
Jackson slipped inside, then quickly opened the door again, beckoning to Brian and the group.
The four checked to ensure no one was paying attention and quickly entered through the door in single file.
"Fuck, it’s so easy it feels like a trap," Paul muttered softly.
Brian shook his head and replied, "No, if it were a trap, it wouldn’t be this easy. Let’s get our facts straight. We’re dealing with a gang—not a state embassy or a high-security facility."
Speaking nonchalantly, Brian gestured and said, "Upstairs. It’s the third floor, right?"
Brian quickly ascended the stairs without even trying to conceal his footsteps.
Another iron door awaited them on the third floor. Brian pushed it open and immediately saw two chairs positioned beside the door. Two burly men in suits were seated there.
They regarded Brian and the others stepping through the door with suspicion. One of them, speaking heavily-accented English, said, "Who are you? Haven’t seen you before."
Brian, with an innocent Oxford accent and a smile, replied, "Of course, customers. Five of us."
