Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle
Chapter 80: Really Want to Keep Kissing Like This

Chapter 80: Chapter 80: Really Want to Keep Kissing Like This

Outside Hong’en Hospital, two handsome men stood on the steps.

Both were equally tall, equally handsome, a pleasing sight for the eyes.

Fu Shiyan handed Fang Zhou a cigarette, "Thank you for this, I’ll repay this favor on behalf of Yanyan."

Fang Zhou chuckled lightly, taking the cigarette from the man and fiddling with it between his fingers. He looked at An Yan and Chen Sheng chatting and laughing not far away, and smiled, "Between An Yan and me, we don’t talk about favors; her concerns are my concerns."

Watching Fu Shiyan, his expression darkened, and the curve of his lips grew more pronounced.

Fang Zhou walked down the steps and turned around at the last one, "If you wrong her, I will turn around and take her away. Please tell that patient that the surgery was very successful, but if she doesn’t take care of herself, I won’t mind operating a second time." He flicked the cigarette in his fingertips, "Thanks."

What does ’I won’t mind operating a second time’ mean?

It was clearly filled with a warning.

Fang Zhou wanted to tell Fu Shiyan that if Su Manxi wanted to cause trouble, he, Fang Zhou, would make her hand useless again.

Fang Zhou waved to An Yan, his eyes full of indulgence, "I’m leaving, bye!"

Chen Sheng said goodbye to An Yan and got in the car with Fang Zhou; the car quickly drove out of the hospital’s gates.

Fu Shiyan watched the car disappear from his sight, his brows still tightly knit.

Fang Zhou’s protection of An Yan was no less than his.

That unmatchable and even arrogant demeanor clearly showed that his words were not empty; he absolutely had the ability to take An Yan away from him.

Upon this thought, he licked his back molars; his little one always had so many people looking out for her, and none of them were easy to deal with.

An Yan came up beside him, "Fang Zhou is really nice to me, treats me like a little sister. Relax a bit, don’t see him as an imaginary enemy."

Fu Shiyan hummed lightly in response.

Although he answered in that way, he was not going to relax.

Fu Shiyan looked at An Yan, "Let’s head up."

An Yan nodded in agreement.

Once inside the hospital room, Su Manxi’s parents were still there; the Fu family members had left one by one after visiting Su Manxi.

Su Bingcheng, seeing An Yan with Fu Shiyan, felt somewhat awkward. He smiled and said, "Shiyan, your aunt and I are going back to make some soup for Manxi. You look after Manxi for now, and I’ll come back to relieve you once the soup is ready."

Upon hearing this, Fu Shiyan responded affirmatively.

After Su Bingcheng and his wife left, Fu Shiyan sat in the chair beside the sickbed, "I’ve arranged the best caregiver to look after you through Han Yang. Let me know if there is anything else you need."

The man’s tone was devoid of affection, strictly professional, which caused Su Manxi’s heart to ache.

She sniffed, "Shiyan, I took that hit for you voluntarily; I don’t need any compensation. It would be enough for you to come and see me whenever you have time."

Fu Shiyan lowered his gaze for a moment, "I’ve been quite busy lately, but I’ll come when I can."

Su Manxi felt a bit disheartened; his words were clearly a polite refusal. She changed the subject, "I’d like some water; could you pour me a glass?"

"Wait a moment."

Fu Shiyan stood up to pour a glass of water and placed it on the table, taking out a straw to put in the glass.

Su Manxi said, "Shiyan, I want to sit up and drink. I’ve been lying down for hours, and my back is uncomfortable."

Fu Shiyan instinctively looked at An Yan, who raised an eyebrow and immediately stepped forward, "Let me help you."

Su Manxi: "..."

An Yan tucked a pillow at her waist and took the glass of water from Fu Shiyan to hand to her, "Drink."

"Thank you," Su Manxi began to drink slowly.

Fu Shiyan said, "I’ve asked Han Yang to buy porridge from Wanjiang; you should try to eat some. After all, it will be quite late by the time your aunt brings the soup."

Su Manxi nodded, "Thank you."

Fu Shiyan had poured another glass of water and checked its temperature before handing it to An Yan, "Have a drink, it’s been a while since you last had water."

An Yan accepted it with a smile, "Thank you, Younger Uncle."

Soon, Han Yang came back carrying a food box, accompanied by a woman about fifty years old.

"President Fu, this is Nanny Zhang, a top-notch caregiver with extensive nursing experience."

Nanny Zhang nodded at Fu Shiyan and Su Manxi, took the food box from Han Yang, and began to feed Su Manxi porridge.

Fu Shiyan and An Yan sat to the side. He took off his suit jacket, opened the four food boxes on the table, unwrapped the chopstick packets, and handed the chopsticks to An Yan, "Your favorites: pan-fried squid, sweet and sour ribs, lily with cashew nuts in celery, and crispy duck."

An Yan took the chopsticks and started to eat without ceremony.

Fu Shiyan, watching her cheeks puff up, couldn’t help but raise his hand and poke them, "Eat slowly, it’s all yours."

"But I’m hungry," she said.

Fu Shiyan hummed softly, whispering in her ear, "Then eat more, when you eat well, I eat well too."

An Yan suddenly turned, about to explode, but then saw the man close at hand, noses nearly touching.

Fu Shiyan’s throat moved, his gaze shifted to the girl’s rosy lips, really wanting to just kiss them.

Remembering they were in a hospital room and there were other people around, An Yan quickly turned back and continued devouring her rice.

Fu Shiyan let out a laugh and started eating as well.

This scene was clearly seen by Su Manxi. She had never seen Fu Shiyan laugh like that before; his eyes had only An Yan in them, his fondness unmistakable.

While Nanny Zhang fed her porridge, she couldn’t help but remark, "These two really match well, handsome man and beautiful woman, the kids they’ll have will definitely be gorgeous."

Su Manxi stared at her, and Nanny Zhang was intimidated by that fierce gaze, quickly realizing her misstep and instantly shutting up.

After An Yan finished the last bite of rice in her bowl, a paper napkin appeared in front of her.

Fu Shiyan smiled, "You’ve eaten like a little cat."

An Yan took it, "I can do it myself."

After the meal, Han Yang cleaned up the dishes.

An Yan sat on the side playing a mobile game.

Fu Shiyan was originally working on some documents brought by Han Yang, but with An Yan sitting next to him, his attention kept drifting to her.

He moved closer and began instructing An Yan on how to play.

The two leaned in together, unconcerned.

Su Manxi pursed her lips tightly; she wanted Fu Shiyan to stay and keep her company, not to watch him show affection with another woman right in front of her.

She picked up her phone and sent a message with one hand.

As it neared nine-thirty, An Yan yawned.

Fu Shiyan asked softly, "Tired?"

"Not really."

"I’ll have Han Yang take you back."

"No need, I’ll stay a bit longer," An Yan whispered, "I want to go back with you."

Fu Shiyan hummed softly, "Okay, when your uncle and aunt arrive, we’ll leave."

Shortly after, Su Bingcheng and his wife arrived at the hospital with soup. Nanny Zhang, very perceptively, went to ladle the soup for Su Manxi.

Seeing this, Fu Shiyan said, "Now that your uncle and aunt are here, we’ll head back first."

He stood up to leave with An Yan, when they heard the dismayed cry of Mother Su, Ailin, "Manxi, what’s happened to you?"
