Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle
Chapter 179: Reconducting the Appraisal

Chapter 179: Chapter 179: Reconducting the Appraisal

An Yan was quite puzzled, "Is there a problem?"

Mu Boyan nodded, "Someone tampered with it."

He pointed at the identification result on the report, "The inconsistency in the mother-daughter relationship is problematic because the hair I supplied for the test was my father’s. Someone mistakenly thought I used my mother’s hair for the test with you. I had already notified the doctor in charge of the report at the forensic department that the report should state a father-daughter relationship. So someone cleverly altered the report."

An Yan understood that someone, worried she was from the Mu Family, had preemptively altered the DNA report.

She pondered for a moment, "I only mentioned this to Ayan, but it definitely wasn’t him who did it."

"Then think again, could anyone else have heard it?"

An Yan recalled carefully. Last night when she spoke about this with Fu Shiyan, they were at the entrance of the police station, and a police officer had passed by them at that moment.

She frowned, muttering, "Could it be him?"

Mu Boyan asked tentatively, "Thought of someone?"

An Yan nodded, "If it’s not him, I can’t think of anyone else. Second Brother Mu, I need to retrieve my laptop from the car. Please wait for me."

Soon, she ran back to the car and brought her laptop.

Mu Boyan, curious, sat beside her, watching her fingers rapidly typing on the keyboard.

"Are you good with computers?"

An Yan smiled, "Not bad."

She pulled up the video footage from the police station entrance for the time frame of last night.

She saw a police officer walking past her and Fu Shiyan, and from their expressions, it was the moment she had mentioned the matter.

She continued to watch the surveillance, noticing that after they walked past, the officer lingered at the entrance for a while before leaving and turning towards a small alley where he never reappeared.

The alley had no surveillance, so An Yan accessed footage from several intersections leading to the alley and spotted a man in a deep green down jacket, wearing a cap and a mask, turning out from the second intersection.

The figure and outfit were exactly like the man she was looking for.

However, his counter-surveillance skills were exceptionally strong, and he quickly disappeared from the surveillance area.

An Yan felt this was an elaborate trap, and they were all caught in it.

Mu Boyan said with a mild smile, "Let’s redo the DNA test, and this time, I won’t leave the lab for a second."

An Yan nodded, "I’ll set up a safety net to prevent anyone from tampering with the report again."

"You’ll handle it?"

An Yan smiled, "Don’t worry."

Mu Boyan smirked, "Good. This time it’s just the two of us who know, totally foolproof."

After splitting up, An Yan went to Fu Corporation.

Fu Shiyan was in a meeting in the conference room, so she waited for him in the office.

She opened her laptop and stared at the man, analyzing the series of events.

This man must have committed murder for Qianqian, and also altered the DNA report for her, fearing she was a Mu Family member.

And being a Mu Family member, the only person under threat would be Mu Yingying.

So, was Qianqian actually Mu Yingying?

She silently recited the name Mu Yingying, recalling her features; she didn’t resemble An Yirou, her eyes had a hint of the doe-eyed look but weren’t as large, her nose slightly resembled An Zaili, and her mouth resembled Du Xinlan a bit.

Was she the daughter of An Zaili and Du Xinlan?

She called Mu Boyan, "Second Brother Mu, I need a favor."

When Fu Shiyan returned to the office, it was already five in the afternoon.

Seeing An Yan asleep on the couch with eyes closed, he quietly walked over and sat beside her, intending to kiss her cheek.

An Yan suddenly opened her eyes and grabbed the man’s neck.

"Such high vigilance?"

An Yan raised an eyebrow, "I’m guarding against you."

Fu Shiyan laughed, "I’m afraid you can’t guard against me."

He started to tickle her, and An Yan withdrew her hand, giggling, "I was wrong, I was wrong..."

"Wrong requires punishment."

An Yan wrapped her hands around the man’s neck, "How do you want to punish me?"

"Let’s continue tonight."

An Yan laughed, "Then I’ll make you a luxurious tonic soup."

Fu Shiyan held her on his lap, "Looking down on me? It seems you weren’t crying that hard."

An Yan glared at him and bit the man’s jaw.

The faint stubble appeared exceptionally sexy.

Fu Shiyan’s Adam’s apple bobbed, "If you bite any lower, we’ll either have one more person in this world or one fewer."

"All you think about all day is that little thing," An Yan glanced at him.

"It would be abnormal if I didn’t think about it," Fu Shiyan toyed with her hand, his voice gentle, "How did it turn out?"

An Yan thought about how she had agreed to redo it with Mu Boyan, and only the two of them knew, so she didn’t tell Fu Shiyan.

She shook her head, indicating it didn’t match the mother-daughter relationship.

Fu Shiyan comforted her, promising to continue the search with her, and they would definitely find what they were looking for.

Because she had kept it from Fu Shiyan, An Yan felt a bit guilty, "Let’s eat at home tonight, I’ll make you ribs."

"Ribs?" Fu Shiyan’s hand slid under the edge of her sweater, inching up, "Let me see if they’re prime ribs."

He clicked his tongue, "How come I find two peaches here? Are they sweet? I want to taste them."

An Yan held down his hand, "Aren’t you annoying!"

Fu Shiyan playfully whispered in her ear, "Am I?"

Ticklish sensations spread, and An Yan’s ears turned pink, "You’re not allowed to talk."

Fu Shiyan chuckled lowly, "It seems we haven’t tried it on the office couch yet."

An Yan pushed him, "I’m really worried you’ll go bald before thirty."

Fu Shiyan placed her hand on his abs, "Don’t worry, I absolutely won’t."

He gently kissed the corner of her lips.

An Yan pushed him, "I don’t want to take medicine anymore."

"I’m prepared."

An Yan: "..."

Afterwards, An Yan was carried into the bathroom by Fu Shiyan, who bathed her.

An Yan glared at him.

Fu Shiyan said with a smile, "A man can’t go hungry for too long, or else he’ll binge."

After the bath, he dried An Yan’s hair, helped her change clothes, and then took a shower himself.

After coming out, he changed clothes and was ready to take An Yan with him.

An Yan looked at his slightly damp hair, pressed him to sit on the edge of the bed, and gently dried his hair for him.

Fu Shiyan held her waist, looking up at her without blinking, "Yanyan, can you dry my hair after every bath from now on?"

"Haven’t I been drying it for you?"

"You usually fall asleep right after your bath."

An Yan was a bit annoyed, "And whose fault is that? If you were more restrained, I wouldn’t always be so exhausted."

Fu Shiyan laughed, "Okay, I’ll be more mindful from now on."

An Yan gave him a sidelong glance, muttering softly, "Who believes that."

After their hair was dried, both of them put on their coats.

Fu Shiyan slung her bag over his shoulder and crouched down, "Hop on."

An Yan climbed onto his back, and the man slowly stood up, "Carrying the wife home now."

An Yan laughed, "Like Zhu Bajie carrying his wife."

"Alright, whether it’s a pig or whatever, as long as I can carry you home, it’s fine," Fu Shiyan said as he carried her out of the office and into the elevator.

An Yan asked, "The security room can see us."

"They choose to be blind, unless they don’t want their jobs. Besides, I’m not afraid of being seen with my own wife," he replied.

An Yan kissed the man’s neck, "Younger Uncle."

Fu Shiyan looked sideways, "Maybe we should go back up."

An Yan bit him, "You’re shameless!"
