Spoiled By My Ex-Fiance's Uncle
Chapter 129: Just Say You Want to Kiss Me

Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Just Say You Want to Kiss Me

The dim light shone on the little boy’s chubby face, he was sleeping exceptionally peacefully.

Lu Minglan set down the fairy tale story he was holding and looked towards Song Jian Ning, who stood by with a panicked expression.

He stood up, "The child is asleep, let’s talk outside."

The two of them walked out of the bedroom.

The next second, Lu Minglan pulled her over and kissed her fiercely on the couch. The woman struggled at first, but then wrapped her arms around his waist.

After a long while, just when things were about to escalate, Lu Minglan stopped.

His shirt was loose, revealing his well-built chest; he sat up straight, pulled out a cigarette from his suit pocket and lit one.

The bright ember burned at his fingertips, half-visible in the darkness, casting a touch of light in the dim living room.

Lu Minglan pressed his temples and took a few deep draws of smoke.

Song Jian Ning tidied her disheveled clothes, and with her hands covering her face, she cried, "I’m sorry, it’s my fault."

"You betrayed me just for that little bit of money?"

"I didn’t betray you. I didn’t give them the information. I left you because I couldn’t bear the burden on my conscience."

Lu Minglan scoffed softly, "You took my seed and ran away, and you can bear that on your conscience?"

Song Jian Ning looked down, "Junjun is not your child."

Lu Minglan snuffed out the cigarette on the coffee table, his large hand gripping her chin, his eyes bloodshot, "Not mine? You think I’m a fool? Ha! You’ve been making a fool out of me this whole time, Song Jian Ning, but I’m taking the child away!"

Song Jian Ning’s eyes widened, "No, you can’t. Junjun is flesh of my flesh; you can’t take him away!"

She clasped the man’s wrist tightly, "Minglan, I had no choice back then. My mother’s kidneys failed! My uncle took away the donor, hid my mother, and forced me to get close to you to steal information. If I didn’t comply, he would kill my mother."

"Couldn’t we have solved the issue together?"

"What could I have done? He would have really killed my mother." Song Jian Ning cried bitterly, "I beg you, Minglan, spare me and Junjun, for the sake of me not betraying you in the end. I admit I wavered at first and wanted to betray you. I have already suffered the consequences. My mother is dead, and all I have left is Junjun."

Lu Minglan pulled her into his embrace, "Did it hurt when you gave birth to Junjun?"

Song Jian Ning was taken aback, she didn’t expect the man to ask such a question. She could no longer hold back and clutched his shirt tightly, "It hurt, Lu Minglan. It hurt so much. But the moment I thought the child was yours, the pain didn’t matter anymore. Lu Minglan, what do you want me to do?"

Warm tears slid down the man’s cheeks as he cupped her face and kissed her.

At that moment, the bedroom door opened.

Junjun came out, rubbing his eyes, "Are you guys fighting?"

Song Jian Ning quickly pushed the man away and rushed over to pick up Junjun, "No, Uncle isn’t fighting with Mommy."

Lu Minglan got up, straightened his shirt and walked over, "I’m your dad."

Junjun looked confused, "What should I call you?"

"Daddy."

"Oh."

Lu Minglan frowned; he felt like he was being teased by the little rascal.

...

Fu Shiyan was holding a tissue to wipe the corner of An Yan’s mouth, "All caught up on the gossip?"

An Yan nodded, "I feel a bit sorry for Lu Minglan, but Song Jian Ning had her reasons, and now that they have a child together, after all the twists and turns, they will still end up together."

Fu Shiyan stared at An Yan, "Why not share and solve the problem together?"

"Song Jian Ning’s initial approach to Lu Minglan wasn’t pure, it’s hard to reveal. But in the end, as long as the outcome is good, isn’t that what matters?"

"So much time has been wasted," Fu Shiyan pondered, then suddenly asked, "Is there anything you’re hiding from me?"

An Yan’s eyes smiled slightly, "No."

In her heart, she was nervous; there was still Michael left to deal with. Once he was out of the picture, there would be no secrets between her and Fu Shiyan.

Even if he couldn’t remember she was Mo, they were still together.

And that was good.

An Yan stood up, intending to clean up the dishes, but Fu Shiyan held her hand, "I’ll do it."

Watching the man carry the soup bowl into the kitchen, the bowl smeared with soup became spotlessly clean in his hands, which were like crafted artworks. An Yan couldn’t help but feel a flutter in her heart.

Fu Shiyan was truly a fanciful dream.

She walked over and hugged the man’s waist, pressing her face against his side.

Fu Shiyan turned off the tap and chuckled, "What’s up? Got something on your mind?"

An Yan knew what he meant and huffed, "Get lost!"

Just as she was about to let go, the man grabbed her hand.

Fu Shiyan turned around and embraced An Yan, "Let’s go, I’ll buy you a cup of milk tea."

"Really?"

"Didn’t you say you wanted to drink some this afternoon?"

"Ayan, you’re so nice."

"You’re nice too, easy to please."

The two left the dumpling shop, turned out of the quaint alley, and walked along the street until they saw a milk tea shop and went in.

Both of them were wearing masks, but their eyes were still striking, and the shop attendants couldn’t help but give them a few extra glances.

When Fu Shiyan placed the order, he specified less ice and reiterated for less ice on the spot.

Upon hearing the man’s voice, the shop attendant went weak in the knees and quickly acknowledged the request.

An Yan walked out of the milk tea shop, holding a large cup of milk tea contentedly.

Fu Shiyan asked, "Is it that good?"

"It’s really good, you should try it," An Yan pressed the straw to the man’s lips, "Just one sip."

Fu Shiyan took a sip and smiled, "If you want to kiss me, just say it directly, why beat around the bush."

An Yan: "..."

Walking hand in hand along the street, An Yan asked, "Has baby not called you all day?"

"I blocked him," Fu Shiyan said indifferently.

An Yan suddenly realized why it had been so quiet all day.

"Didn’t he call you from another phone?"

"I’ve put my phone on silent today, not answering anyone’s calls. Just dating you."

An Yan pursed her lips and smiled, feeling incredibly sweet inside.

Just then, An Yan’s phone started vibrating.

She took it out and saw it was from Fu Jinqiao.

"Don’t answer it, it might be my dad."

An Yan thought that since there had been no call earlier, a call at this time must mean something important.

She thought for a moment and still answered the call.

"An Yan, my grandfather had a stroke. He’s now at Hong’en Hospital."

"We’ll head there right now."

An Yan looked at Fu Shiyan, "Old baby had a stroke, we need to hurry back."

Fu Shiyan took out his phone, looked at the several missed calls, and called Han Yang, "I’ll send you the location, come pick me up now."

"Yes."

Twenty minutes later, Han Yang picked them up and returned to Jiangcheng.

At midnight, Fu Shiyan and An Yan arrived at Hong’en Hospital.

Inside the ward, Fu Haichuan was lying on the hospital bed with his eyes closed.

Zhou Yi was sitting nearby with swollen eyes, clearly crying.

After the birthday feast, since the elder son and the second son had gone back, the old house was left with only Fu Jinqiao accompanying the old master and the old lady.

Seeing Fu Shiyan and An Yan, Fu Jinqiao came forward, "Grandpa suddenly became immobile. I was quite scared. I called Younger Uncle and he didn’t answer, so I called you."

Fu Shiyan asked, "What did the doctor say?"

Fu Jinqiao wiped her tears, "The doctor said he needs to be hospitalized for treatment."

An Yan looked at the person on the hospital bed and narrowed her eyes, "Let me have a look."
