Chapter 128: Chapter 128: The Little One Has Become Cunning

Fu Shiyan shook his phone, "One hundred thousand."

An Yan teased him with a playful smile, "I thought your face would have sufficed."

Fu Shiyan: "..."

An Yan held his hand, "To others, your money may be more useful than your face, but for me, your face is more useful than your money."

Fu Shiyan raised his eyebrows, "Then I am truly touched."

"Of course," An Yan held his hand, "Let’s go. Since the money has been spent, we should make the most of our time."

The two boarded the sunset observation car, and the staff locked the door.

From a distance, the observation car looked like a pumpkin, slowly ascending along the track.

Fu Shiyan stood behind An Yan, enveloping her in his arms with his chin resting on her hairline, both looking at the distant orange sky, as if soaked in an orange-flavored soda.

At the highest point, Fu Shiyan lifted the girl’s chin with his fingertips, looking at her delicate face. His Adam’s apple bobbed, and he leaned down to kiss her gently. There was only the two of them in the observation car, but since it was transparent, Fu Shiyan didn’t go too far, only kissing her.

He held her tightly, involuntarily leaning forward, "Yanyan, are you hungry?"

An Yan, dazed by the kiss, said, "What?"

"I asked if you’re hungry?"

"Not hungry, why?"

Fu Shiyan pressed firmly on her waist with his palm, "Then shall we head back to the hotel first, hmm?"

An Yan realized, this man’s mind was filled with mischief again.

She pursed her lips, "I’m hungry."

Fu Shiyan chuckled lowly, "Then I’ll make sure you’re fed."

"You!"

Seeing the girl’s irritable demeanor, Fu Shiyan clicked his tongue, "Remember, you were the one who seduced me first."

"But I didn’t expect you to be like this every day! Every single day! I haven’t had a full night’s sleep since I’ve been with you!"

Fu Shiyan coaxed her patiently, his lips brushing her ear, "Is that okay?"

Once Fu Shiyan turned on his charm, An Yan was utterly disarmed.

As the observation car reached the bottom, the staff opened the door, and Fu Shiyan, holding An Yan’s hand, strode out.

The two hailed a taxi and headed straight for the hotel.

An Yan asked, "What about your car?"

Fu Shiyan said, "Han Yang has a spare key; he’ll pick it up later."

Han Yang: I really am just a tool, aren’t I?

Once out of the cab, Fu Shiyan led An Yan into the hotel and onto the elevator.

"We haven’t checked into a room yet."

Fu Shiyan calmly pulled out a room card from his pocket, "It’s already prepared."

An Yan: "..."

When the room door opened, Fu Shiyan, with one arm around An Yan, stepped in and with a flick of his leg, closed the door.

Before An Yan could even take in the room’s scenery, she was pressed against the door by him.

Her eyes met his intensely passionate gaze. She thought about suggesting a shower first, but he did not give her a chance to speak and sealed her lips, then entwined with her, they moved to the bathroom...

It was after nine in the evening.

An Yan lay sprawled on the large bed, too exhausted to move, watching various sharks, rays, and schools of colorful fish swim back and forth under the specially made reinforced glass.

She closed her eyes, both tired and hungry.

Earlier, when Fu Shiyan was carrying her to bathe, she was so hungry she almost wanted to drink the bathwater.

As footsteps approached, she turned her face away and saw Fu Shiyan coming towards her with a towel around his waist.

He was drying his hair with another towel, sitting on the edge of the bed, "Hungry, huh?"

"What do you think? Humph!"

"Not feeding you enough was my fault."

Upon hearing this, An Yan gathered all her strength to sit up and threw a pillow at him.

Fu Shiyan didn’t get annoyed but just chuckled, "Looks like you still have some energy, my mistake."

An Yan pouted and burrowed into the blanket, ignoring him.

Fu Shiyan fished her out of the water, "I heard there’s an old shop in Linshi that specializes in wontons, should I take you to eat there?"

"I’m not hungry!"

As soon as An Yan finished speaking, her stomach inappropriately grumbled.

Fu Shiyan helped her put on her coat and led her out the door.

They walked along the main road for about ten minutes, then turned into a small alley.

The alley was so narrow that it could only accommodate three people across, and red lanterns hung on either side, giving it an ancient lantern festival vibe.

The old shop that Shiyan had mentioned was at the deepest end of the alley.

Just as they were about to enter, the shopkeeper came out and apologized, "Sorry, the shop is closed."

Fu Shiyan looked at his watch, "It’s only nine-thirty."

The shopkeeper nodded, "It’s my wife’s birthday, and she’s waiting for me to come home and eat cake."

Fu Shiyan said, "Then we’ll wrap and cook our own, clean up after we eat, and then leave."

The shopkeeper hesitated, "This..."

"One hundred thousand." Fu Shiyan took out his phone, ready to scan a code.

The shopkeeper, "Are you joking?"

"My girlfriend is hungry, please hurry up."

The shopkeeper quickly took out his phone to scan the code, only realizing the man was not joking when he saw one hundred thousand credited to his account.

"Okay, the meat filling is in the basin, and there’s a piece of dough in the dough basin. Do it yourselves, just don’t burn down my little shop," the shopkeeper said and then hurried off.

The two of them closed the shop first since they couldn’t entertain customers anyway.

They went into the kitchen, washed their hands, and stood in front of the cutting board.

An Yan asked, "Do you know how to wrap wontons?"

"I can learn now."

An Yan smiled slightly, "Then I’ll start rolling out the dough, you wait."

She took out the last piece of dough from the dough basin and started kneading it, then took a rolling pin and rolled it out into a thin sheet, cutting it into diamond-shaped squares.

She taught Fu Shiyan how to wrap the wontons, and although his were not very pretty, at least they weren’t leaking.

"Yanyan, you got dough on you here," Fu Shiyan pointed out.

An Yan asked, "Where?"

"Right here."

An Yan remembered the last time they made dumplings when Shiyan smeared dough on her face, and she wasn’t going to fall for it this time.

She directly wiped it on the man’s face, "Right here, huh?"

Fu Shiyan laughed, "You’ve gotten clever, little thing."

"This is called learning from past mistakes," An Yan said as she dropped the wontons into the boiling water, then began seasoning the broth.

Watching the girl carefully seasoning, Fu Shiyan asked, "Can you figure out what’s in this wonton filling?"

"It must be seasoned with stock, that’s why it’s so fragrant, but I can’t replicate that," An Yan said as she saw the wontons float to the surface. She turned off the heat, scooped the wontons into the prepared broth, and topped them with cilantro.

Fu Shiyan brought over a tray, placed two bowls of wontons on it, and the pair left the kitchen to sit at a small four-person table.

Looking at the steaming hot wontons, they smiled at each other.

An Yan took a spoon, blew on it, and extended it towards the man’s mouth, "Try this."

Fu Shiyan took a bite, "Not bad."

He also scooped some, blew it cool, and fed it to An Yan.

An Yan sighed, "Is it just because I’m so hungry that I find it especially delicious?"

"Maybe so, it’s all my doing."

An Yan rolled her eyes at him, "Ayan, tell me about Lu Minglan and that woman’s story, alright?"

"So curious? Why don’t you ever ask about my past?"

An Yan thought to herself, I couldn’t possibly know more.

She cleared her throat, "Your past, I’ll let you tell it to me slowly. Now, satisfy my curiosity."

Fu Shiyan watched her eager face, chuckled softly for a while, and then with a light cough, "This story starts from five years ago."
