Mo Chou got spooked and her instincts came over, she was about to attack when someone held her shoulder in a firm grasp and said in a soothing voice, "hey, it’s me. No need to panic".

Mo Chou immediately recognized the voice as Lu Jinhai’s. She turned around and saw that Lu Jinhai seemed a little amused. "Hmph, let go of me" she said feeling a little irritated. Lu Jinhai let go of her hand obediently and followed Mo Chou who had resumed walking.

Everything had happened pretty quickly and Li Chen and Huang Chunhua had not even noticed that Mo Chou wasn’t walking with them. Mo Chou caught up to them pretty quickly too so they had no idea about the little ’fight’.

Li Chen asked Mo Chou a question and looked in her direction, she was surprised to see Lu Jinhai following behind them. "Ehh, when did you arrive Lu Jinhai?"

"Just now" replied Lu Jinhai casually.

Li Chen and Huang Chunhua were not shy to talk to Lu Jinhai as they were in the beginning. Lu Jinhai also didn’t seem as distant and cold as he was initially.

"What are you guys planning?" Lu Jinhai asked curiously.

"Oh, we were planning on going out somewhere fun together for the weekend," replied Li Chen.

"Where are we going then?" asked Lu Jinhai.

Mo Chou ’....’ She was speechless, when did their plans include Lu Jinhai?

Li Chen was also a little surprised but accepted it quickly, Lu Jinhai was always with Mo Chou and constantly hanging out with them, so it would not be that strange for him to spend the weekend together with them.

Huang Chunhua had been quiet since Lu Jinhai had arrived, it was because she was still a little shy around him due to her introverted nature. Li Chen didn’t want her to feel left out so she asked her aloud, "where do you want to go?"

Everyone looked at Huang Chunhua as they waited for her answer which made her turn red, not wanting everyone’s eyes on her, she randomly blurted out, "beach".

"Ohhh, great idea" replied Li Chen immediately "but which one"?

Lu Jinhai was listening to their conversation and thought of the private beach he had bought but hadn’t had the chance to visit. It was actually on a small island that he had bought before, so he said, "my family has a private beach, we can go there".

Li Chen and Huang Chunhua were shocked, Lu Jinhai’s family owned a private beach? And he had said it so casually too.

Mo Chou on the other hand didn’t think it was that much of a big deal, "a private beach is much better than a public one" she added her thoughts.

Li Chen and Huang Chunhua came to their senses and nodded, they knew that Mo Chou was very popular online recently and if they went to a public beach, people might recognize and pester her, so a private beach was really a better idea.

Li Chen and Huang Chunhua gave Lu Jinhai a thumbs-up and it was agreed, they fixed the time and decided to meet at Lu Jinhai’s house.

It was almost time for classes to begin, so everyone headed to their classes. While sitting in the class, Mo Chou realized that her gloomy mood from earlier had vanished completely. She was even looking forward to the weekend now.

Lu Jinhai was also obviously happy, he had really missed Mo Chou and would even zone out thinking about her from time to time. He was content just looking at her and playing with her silky hair.

The reason why Lu Jinhai was a little late today was because his secretary Huo Jichen had told him that he had found news regarding Mo Chou’s brother. Huo Jichen was actually hesitant to report to Lu Jinhai about the matter as he didn’t know if Lu Jinhai wanted to know about Mo Chou’s brother, but Lu Jinhai was actually a little curious and started reading the article that Huo Jichen had shown him.

After reading the full thing, Lu Jinhai had been in deep thought. Mo Chou’s guest was probably An Daiyu, Liu Dai’s fiance who had cheated on him. He wasn’t really interested in Liu Dai’s buisness but he felt that there was probably something more to the story.

Since she was related to Mo Chou, Lu Jinhai had asked Huo Jichen to investigate An Daiyu. By the time Lu Jinhai had arranged everything, Mo Chou had already arrived at the University and he couldn’t pick her up from the University entrance even though he wanted to.

Mo Chou was conscious of Lu Jinhai playing with her hair but she was also thinking about An Daiyu. ’How long will it take for An Daiyu to exact her revenge on me I wonder’ she thought, ’well I can’t keep on waiting for her next move to entertain myself, maybe I should look around to see if there is any new exciting mission’.

The class ended and Mo Chou headed towards the cafeteria with her friends. She quickly realised that there were a few people looking at her and whispering.

’Ah, It seems like the news has spread’.

It wasn’t a secret that Mo Chou was Liu Qiang’s step daughter making her Liu Dai’s sister. Many people had also seen Liu Dai running after Mo Chou when she was injured on the stage previously so everyone had assumed that Mo Chou and Liu Dai had a good relationship.

Many students were discussing how Liu Dai was so unlucky for having a fiance like An Daiyu. There were also some girls who were secretly happy, even though they did not know Liu Dai in person, they were still happy that he was probably going to be single.

Mo Chou sat on her regular table calmly and greeted everyone normally. The girls who sat with them also knew about the news, one of them even wanted to ask Mo Chou if she could introduce her to Liu Dai as he was simply her dream guy, but she didn’t want to do it infront of everyone. She decided to wait for Mo Chou to be alone and then approach her.

Everyone had their food while having small talk. No one mentioned anything about An Daiyu and Liu Dai as everyone felt that it would be quite rude.

Mo Chou finished her food with everyone and stood up. The girl who wanted to talk to Mo Chou saw this and wanted to get up and follow her too but stopped when she saw Lu Jinhai standing up from his chair to follow behind Mo Chou. He even gave her a slight glance which scared the girl.

Mo Chou noticed everything but didn’t mind it, she was actually glad that Lu Jinhai had stopped the girl. She had already noticed the girl sneaking glances at her secretly and didn’t really want to listen to her as she had limited patience for other people beside her friends.

After that, the day went by normally, Lu Jinhai even took a nap beside Mo Chou. He wanted to confirm if Mo Chou could really help him sleep. Lu Jinhai didn’t have much expectations but still tried to sleep. He really did fall asleep within three minutes.

When the class ended, Lu Jinhai woke up refreshed. He looked at Mo Chou with sparkles in his eyes and thought, "It seems like I have to trick the rabbit into my den faster".

Mo Chou who was packing up her textbooks felt a sudden chill up her spine, she looked up and there was only Lu Jinhai in the class with her. She looked at Lu Jinhai suspiciously, but Lu Jinhai returned her with an innocent expression.

Mo Chou resumed her packing and stood up. The last class of the day had ended and now it was time to head home. She said goodbye to everyone and Lu Jinhai followed her out as usual.

Mo Chou looked at him and thought, ’I seemed to have gotten a new tail’. She couldn’t help but giggle at the thought which made Lu Jinhai look at her. Seeing her mischievous look, Lu Jinhai figured that she was probably thinking about him.

’Looks like someone needs to be punished’.

Mo Chou got into her car and was about to close the door when Lu Jinhai blocked it with his body. He came close to Mo Chou and whispered goodbye into her ear while pinching her cheek. He did it very quickly and had already walked away before Mo Chou could even react.

"Ouch" Mo Chou exclaimed and glared at him. She was also very embarrassed and quickly closed the door while telling the driver to hurry. Thankfully, the car had a partition and the driver hadn’t seen anything or she would probably have been embarrassed to death.

The driver obeyed and drove home while Mo Chou fanned herself trying to calm herself down. By the time she arrived back home, she was already back to normal.

Mo Chou walked into the house and noticed that the atmosphere seemed to be strange. The maids were running around trying to clean everything and everyone seemed pretty nervous. She entered the living room and saw that Mo Li was sitting on the sofa nervously. Upon seeing her, Mo Li stood up and said, "hurry up and get changed, your grandfather is going to arrive for dinner".

Mo Chou finally understood the reason behind everyone’s nervousness.

’So I am finally going to meet my legendary grandfather’.
