Chapter 1111: Resolved

With both hard evidence and eyewitness accounts, there was no way the Tower Master of Bone could weasel his way out of this one.

In a final show of defiance, the black mage glared at Sein with sinister eyes and growled, “Don’t let me catch you next time!”

The odds of Sein ever crossing paths with this black mage again were practically zero.

Even if they did meet again, Sein probably would not be afraid of him.

His strength was growing by the day, while the Tower Master of Bone—now bound for Atlan Interstellar Prison—was not likely to have a bright future ahead.

Atlan was home to the largest concentration of devils and demons in the Magus Alliance, including several Rank Five and above demons from the infamous Quatar Star Pirates.

The Tower Master of Bone would surely receive a “warm welcome” from them the moment he arrived.

Hopefully, the guy would live long enough to see Sein again.

Of course, Sein did not take his threat seriously. After all, he had been chased by foreign deities.

Smiling, he looked the Bone Tower Master in the eye and calmly said, “I’ll be waiting for you.”

The Tower Master of Bone was eventually bound and taken away by several sea kings.

In the ancient era, it was said that the Magus Civilization punished Rank Four and above criminals by casting them directly into the Eye of the Boundless South Sea, using them to suppress the unstable forces there.

There, they would endure the crushing weight of the ocean, serving the greater good of the Magus World.

As the Magus Civilization’s laws became more developed, the need for such punishments gradually faded.

There had also been incidents where ignorant fools went so far as to deliberately damage planar nodes out of spite.

That was when the Magus Alliance began constructing major interstellar prisons like Atlan.

After all, the alliance prided itself on being a civilization governed by law and order. It could not rely solely on brute force to keep all the planes under its control in check.

Nowadays, large numbers of criminals from across the alliance were thrown into these interstellar prisons annually.

The Tower Master of Bone was simply the latest addition to the roster.

“When you get to Atlan Prison, say hi to Warden Norton for me,” Andy said as he flew over to speak with him before the escort. “If you take your rehabilitation seriously, you might still have a shot at returning to the Magus World.”

The Tower Master of Bone did not seem to appreciate the old mage’s kindness.

His eyes were filled with madness and a burning thirst for revenge, becoming yet another black mage consumed by his own emotions.

He was unlucky to have crossed paths with Sein—but to rise as far as he had in the outskirts of Blackhaven, only to be sacrificed like this, was not just bad luck. It was also inevitable.

After he was taken away, the atmosphere at the scene finally eased up.

From Leena, Sein learned that the Rank Five female black mage who had shown up earlier was actually her mentor.

Apparently, the Tower Master of Cinderbones had a rough time befriending others in Blackhaven.

Despite being a Rank Five mage, both the black mages and black knights nearby kept their distance from her.

In a way, she and the Tower Master of Bone were cut from the same cloth.

Back in the day, she was also a black mage with a poor reputation—cunning, greedy, and known for hoarding benefits for herself.

Unlike the Tower Master of Bone, she had managed to survive in Blackhaven for tens of thousands of years and had even risen to Rank Five despite her poor relationship with others.

The root cause of this whole incident was the war triggered when the Black Tower of Bone joined forces with seceral other black towers and knightly orders to move against her.

Now that the Tower Master of Bone had been taken away, the territories and the black tower he spent thousands of years building were left without a leader.

That power vacuum would likely bring a period of calm to the southern outskirts of Blackhaven.

After his departure, the Rank Five female black mage looked like she had no intention of acknowledging her apprentice.

She simply said something to Leena through a voice transmission, then turned and left without another word.

Before leaving, she cast a long, meaningful glance at Sein—clearly intrigued by the Ashen Flame he wielded.

Andy chuckled and said, “If you ever come back to Blackhaven, you can drop my name, boy. Mikaeli doesn’t exactly have the best reputation around here. Telling others you’re from the Black Tower of Cinderbones might land you in trouble.”

He gave White Stella a respectful nod, took one last glance to the north, and then led the other black mages and black knights away.

Once the group had left, the sky became noticeably clearer.

It looked like Lorthisra had also left. She never made an appearance and had shown no interest in forming any connection with White Stella.

Tourmaline waddled up to Sein, as innocent as ever, and asked, “Where are we going next, Sein?”

Sein glanced at White Stella, then at Leena standing quietly beside him, and scratched his head.

“Let’s head south, I want to contact the Divine Tower of Verdant Spring through one of the towers there.”

Though they were heading straight south, Sein and Leena still took the time to meet with Faye and Zorro before leaving Blackhaven.

Faye and Zorro had recently joined the Black Tower of Cinderbones and lived not far from where Sein and the others had been.

Both of them had advanced to Rank Two.

Faye still retained her beauty, but the cold edge in her demeanor had sharpened noticeably.

Compared to Leena and Zorro, she looked much more like a true black mage.

Sein could tell that Zorro had undergone several transformative experiments—he even had a metal plate embedded in his cheek now.

Lacking talent in combat and cultivation, Zorro had turned to more unconventional methods to advance.

His impressive accomplishments in alchemy had led him down a unique path—one that combined elemental power with metals.

There were many roads to the same destination. If Zorro could carve out his own path in alchemy, he could still reach the ultimate truth he sought—even if it meant turning himself into something close to a cyborg.

Maybe one day, he would even become a master alchemist like Peyton from Sky City.

Sein was genuinely thrilled to see his seniors again after so many years. Of course, he did not forget to bring out a large bundle of gifts for them.

Some were items he had gathered during his earlier journeys through the Magus World, but most came from Faeloria.

As Faye looked over the impressive collection of high-grade materials and ingredients, she grinned and said, “Wow, you’ve really gone on a treasure hunt, haven’t you, Sein?”
