Sleeping With The CEO
Chapter 206: Not Again

Chapter 206: Not Again

In all honesty, when Derek had come out of the shower to find Emily gone. He had been relieved, but he had also been a bit disappointed. He had been hoping to just resolve the issue then and there. But with her absence, Derek’d had time to think.

And during his thinking time, he had come up with a solution. The latest cause of friction in the sleeping arrangement between himself and Emily was Derek’s own body. So it made sense that in order to solve the problem. All that he had to do was get himself under control. And so Derek, in what was most probably a first among men, spent hours online doing research on erections.

But unlike countless other men who were normally having problems down there and spent hours upon hours researching ways in which to deal with their erectile dysfunction. Derek was going the opposite route. He was looking for ways to stop himself from having a boner in Emily’s presence once had been enough.

He did not wish to repeat the experience of Sunday morning.

After all, they might have been sleeping together, but he was still Emily’s boss. She was not just some random woman that he was sleeping with. Someone that he could ignore and never have to think about again. The two of them worked together.

They had to see each other on a daily basis. So Derek had to come up with something. Otherwise things would always be awkward between the two of them. He did not want that, so he had settled down, to do his research.

But the internet was a vast and scary place. When Derek had first typed in the words and hit enter, he had been expecting to be bombarded with articles and videos about maybe some old remedies that would tell him what to do.

Things that would help him out, or maybe even meditation practices that would help him will away an erection with a single thought. But instead he had found himself dragged into a black hole. Seeing things that he had never ever imagined in his life. Horrified by what he had stumbled upon ,but somehow being unable to look away.

Clicking link, after link, and treading into darker waters, the more links he went through, but unable to stop. By the time that Derek had finally been able to push his laptop away, he had actually had to wipe some sweat from his brow. He had not found a single thing that could help him with his issue when it came to morning wood. But what he had found was that humanity was messed up. There were people who willingly cut off their own private parts.

Some doing it for twisted pleasure while others did it out of curiosity. And then on top of the people who willingly chopped off their own private bits. There were those who got a kick out of castrating others. Some in the name of science and others in the name of religion. While others did it during wars, justifying the atrocities with sayings like ’all is fair in love and war’ As far as Derek was concerned. Phrases like that should not exist at all.

Some things were just too horrific to even be called fair, let alone be placed in a saying that had the word love in it. What he had seen there had not been love. Instead, it had been nothing but hate.

And at the end of all those hours stuck in the black hole of the internet. Derek had come up and he still had no way to resolve his erection issue. Come Monday, he had locked himself in his office, pretending like he was working. While all he was doing was continuing his research.

Hoping to at least come up with something. But the day had begun and ended with him still not having a single thing. On Tuesday, he had stayed out of the office altogether. Saying that he was doing site visits, while in reality, he had booked himself into a spa, and had spent the day trying to meditate and see if he could control his erection at will.

But as expected, that did not work at all. The biggest hurdle being that Derek did not want his ability to get an erection completely gone. What he wanted was to be able to fall asleep next to Emily without him popping a boner. But to test if meditation worked, he would need A, sleep, and B, to be next to Emily.

So given that Derek could not sleep without Emily and that she was not currently there. The whole thing had turned out to be an exercise in futility. And he had gone home disappointed. He had then proceeded to spend hours in the pool.

Even going as far as to punch the waters in an effort to try and get the stress out. Wednesday did not even bother mentioning. It would be too much of a waste of breath to even talk about. The most important thing about Wednesday was that it had led to Thursday.

On Thursday Derek had realized something. A realization that had come shortly after the workday had ended, and Emily had already gone home. To an outsider, to Emily in particular, his actions over the last few days might have been hurtful. It might have seemed as though he was actively

ignoring her.

That realization scared Derek.

What if she took that as silent communication that he did not wish to see her anymore? What if she did not come on Thursday? What if he had ruined everything between them? All because of a little biology?

Heart in his throat, Derek had forced himself to work for a little while longer. And then he had headed home.

The unease in his chest building and building, making him feel as though he were about to pass out. By the time that he’d heard Emily’s familiar knock on his door. Derek had been uncertain whether to cheer or to throw up. Instead, he had settled for just opening the door.

And the two of them being themselves. They had not addressed the elephant in the room. It had felt like being back at Bee’s diner all over again. They had simply gone into their familiar territory. Making small talk, cooking with one another, washing the dishes, and then heading upstairs to sleep.

Luckily for him, that night, nothing happened and in the morning he and Emily woke up and headed to work like nothing had changed. The same was true for Friday. But come Saturday things changed. Derek’s member, which had been behaving itself during the week. Decided to come alive mid Saturday morning

And Derek woke up to find himself gently rutting against Emily. Once he realized what he was doing, he stopped immediately, untangling himself from her. Derek scooted out of the bed.

Hoping that Emily would stay asleep. But those hopes were dashed when he looked over and he found her looking up at him. Her eyes wide open, with no traces of sleep in them. Once again, Derek somehow found himself back in the bathroom, the door locked, forehead against the expensive wood.

"This is ridiculous," He whispered to himself. But even so, he still stayed there. If he was lucky, Emily would be gone again by the time he got out of the shower. Just like the last time.
