Chapter 97: What My Heart Bear For You {3}

From what I was taught and what I read in books, even the pictures I saw, a wedding took place in a church with all your loved ones present to share in that joyous event.

This is not a church and this is not even a wedding... but do I care? No, I don’t... All I cared about was the man my persistent gaze was set on, the one who I was about to spend the rest of my life with. And loved ones? Well, I have three important people watching... This was more than I could ask for, as well as something I never thought I could experience or obtain.

My life has been a raven world, I was hated and cast aside, silently begging for death to take me, living in a dark world is like living in a paused time, but my very time started moving when I set my eyes on a masked man, who took the chains around my neck and turned it to ice. Who took my hand and pulled me into a world I never thought existed.

If I was told years ago back in the orphanage I would be here walking the long path leading to the very man who has captured my heart, I would laugh and curse those words.

I never believed in hope, compassion, or even a future, but to be pulled from that void life and brought into a colorful one is a dream come true.

William turned and his eyes set on me, and it felt like I had gained the entire world, his lips parted in a paused action as his gaze wandered entirely on me, taking everything in like I was a rare diamond. I figured he was somewhat shocked due to his slightly wide eyes, and it caused a smile to rest on my lips.

gods, I feel like fleeing! To be pinned by such beautiful eyes was unreal, but I kept my focus and calmed my nerves. Making sure I kept my legs moving, telling my body not to stop no matter what until I was finally before him.

And thus we stood not saying a word for an entire minute, just staring at each other like the very catalyst of each other’s world. William looked lost as he stared at me, a mix of wonder and relief flushing his features, one I have constantly told myself that it would be hard to shelter emotions... but at this point in time, I was wrong with everything.

The unspeakable emotion blossoming in his eyes that not even I could hold, speaks wonders! More than the words he has offered to me, like the stars that are uncountable no matter how you try to get their numbers, it was infinite.

Say something, Ava!

I was mentally scolding myself to speak but my voice was hung up again, my first tightened on my gown tightly and my heart pounded like it would leap out of my heart, so I swallowed the lump built up in my throat to force myself to speak.

"W-William I..." I inhaled sharply, closing my eyes. Why does it feel so hard to speak?

’"Ava if you are not ready then-"

"No!" I snapped, flashing my eyes open. "I-I’m a mess, I can’t even speak properly I don’t know how..." I sighed again.

"Ava"

I moved my gaze to his. "I don’t care if I have to wait centuries for your answer,"

He’s willing to wait that long? My eyes were wide in pure shock and I quickly shook my head to snap out of it.

"T-To be honest, I’m speechless... there are so many words in my head and I cannot say them all, I want to give you an answer and at the same time I don’t want it to be just a simple yes" I said breathlessly. "I have never felt this way before, I have never been cared for and wanted by anyone, this feels like a dream, and at the same time, I don’t want it to be" I took a step closer to him.

"To want to be there for someone, to be by someone’s side, to be of worth, and to have an unconditional feeling is a dream come true, a dream I never thought would happen... I..." I inhaled sharply. "This is worth everything" I mumbled taking his large hand into mine and they tightened around mine.

"Yes"

Something flashed in Williams’ eyes, one that stirred my very insides.

"In sickness and in health..." I said with a smile on my lips.

"In sickness and in health," he said back to me and I felt my heart melt, He slowly raised my hand and brought it to his lips, and gave it a soft gentle kiss that sent a deep shiver down my spine and I closed my eyes drowning in the feeling of his lips but it suddenly replaced with something cold and I flicked my eyes open, a gasp left me.

William slides a silver ring on my finger, glittering in the sunlight.

"I made it from my hair... this is a part of me that will be with you," he said with a smile on his lips.

I became speechless again, he reached for my hair and took the silver pin off allowing my brown hair to drop over my shoulder, he wrapped a strand of my hair around his finger. And it glowed under my eyes, my lips parted in marvel as I watched the wonders of magic... swiftly something like gold wrapped around his finger, and I just realized a strand of my hair had transformed into a ring.

"A part of you is with me now, I’m yours," he said holding our hands together that had the rings on, silver and gold.

"A ring is a sign of marriage in the mortal realm is it not?" he said with a wink and I giggled.

A gasp left me when he grabbed my waist and pulled me more against him, his hand caressing the back of my neck with his palm and he leaned close.

"A kiss to seal this, wife"

My heart skipped several beats and without any need for words, I went on my tiptoes and sealed our lips together.
