Chapter 199: Estel ~ Reunite
"And I don’t care. What I care about is that you disturb my sleep, far from home aren’t you child?"
Estel gulped as her heart slammed so loudly in her chest, his eyes were beautiful gold, shining so brightly in the sunlight but with the way they stared at her it felt like she would drown in them and get lost.. get sunk into a sea of gold and get sailed away.
"You’re not going to drop me are you?" she asked in her sweetest voice for it felt like he would drop her any minute. He didn’t appear to recreate any form of emotions on his angelic features, just straight-line boredom.
There was a harsh silence, one that chilled Estel’s bones and for a minute she thought he was perhaps pondering if he would drop her or not and that only intensified her fear.
He sighed facing ahead, away from the girl with two eye colors, for a reason he didn’t want to stare long for the power that radiated in them clashed with his own, like she could see things that not even he knows about himself and it ticks him off.
He ran his other free black gloved hand through his medium-length midnight hair, allowing the straight stunning hair to pile up and Estel spotted something shiny from his ear, like a diamond, was that a piercing? She never knew men get their ears pierced, this was the first she has seen, and she wouldn’t lie, it does look strange and captivating on him, like a suit to his personality.
Everything about this man was the complete opposite she has ever seen and she was still amazed that this man has a striking resemblance to her papa, for example, if his hair was silver instead of midnight and kept longer with an addiction to a crescent blue moon tattoo on his forehead, then it would be the total copy of her papa.
Speaking of tattoos she got a sneak peek of black ink on the side of his neck but she couldn’t make it out because of his shirt, tailored perfectly like it was made for him, and the crafted design embroidered on it wasn’t missed out. Was he royal by chance?
Without much effort, the strange man dropped her on the branch a foot away from him and Estel breathed in relief knowing he had no intention of dropping her or maybe he did have the thought but decided it was no use.
Finally settling her fast-paced heartbeat Estel indulged herself to look at the gorgeous man once again.
He was truly stunning and looked so bored. Why bored? Was this view not enough to uplift one’s heart? He looked as if nothing was pleasing to his eyes, nothing at all like he looked at everything in the form of black and
white with no colors to it, maybe that is what he sees.
In the mean silence, the strange man pulled out a smoking pipe and took it between his dim red lips, and took a drag and the smoke came out from the mouthpiece and some from his nose.
"Whoa!"
"Off you go child... go meet your mommy or something, your presence irks me" he mumbled relaxing back in the position with his hands behind his neck.
Estel gulped. "Well mister, I’m a bit far from home... umm... how do I put this? I kind of foolishly stepped into an unknown portal and came to this forest"
"Yes very foolish"
She pouts. "That’s mean!"
He ignored her, taking the smoking pipe from his lips and blowing the smoke from his lips and Estel coughed because of the accumulated smoke around them.
Hearing the sound from her, his gold eyes darted to the child, she looked familiar, but he couldn’t quite place where he had seen her before, or maybe it wasn’t her but someone that looked like someone that he encountered in the past.
"Mister, what is your name?"
He darted his eyes back to the skies. "If I tell you, will you leave?"
"Oh yes I will, your smoking is dangerous for my nose" she teased.
He opened his mouth to speak.
"Prince Logan! Prince Logan!"
Logan growled, sitting up and running his hand through his hair once again. "What?!" his voice was sharp and irritated and it made Estel jump.
Estel leveled her eyes and found a red fox standing on his feet, with his paws on his waist.
"Ha there you’re, I have been looking everywhere for you," Gideon said. "Your mother is looking for you, seriously your Highness you can’t just vanish like that, your sister is worried too" Then as he rants ahead his eye darted to the girl with the strangest eyes. "Oh and who might you be"
"Hello, I’m Estel," she said sweetly to the fox.
"I’m Gideon" He smiled at the sweet girl. "Hmm you must be someone special because your Highness here never tolerates one’s presence, he’s a recluse" he whispered the last part before running off like someone or something was on his trail.
Sensing this Estel turned to Logan beside her and she froze, he seriously has that same impassive expression but his eyes looked like he would rip something to pieces. He’s scary!
"Fucking fox" he mumbled grabbing his jacket.
"My papa uses that word too... mostly when he’s pissed about something"
"Then your papa knows how to use his word right" With one jump he was down on the ground flapping on his jacket.
"Um"
He turned to the annoying little girl.
"I can’t jump down like you do, can you help me?"
"You climbed up yourself so get yourself down," Logan said in an attempt to ignore her. Hearing rustling sounds he knew she was trying to bring herself down but to no avail.
Logan rubbed his temples feeling frustrated, before turning and walking back to the tree.
"I get you down, you leave, am I clear?"
She smiled sweetly at him which didn’t affect him one bit. "Okay mister"
"Now jump" he commanded, stretching his hands out for her.
It was crazy to trust him but for some reason she did, maybe because of the striking resemblance he has to her papa, because right now she even pictures him as her papa, holding out his arms for her with a smile on his lips.
’He truly is the very opposite of my papa’ she thought with a giggle before jumping down and Logan caught her without much effort.
☆☆☆
Hearing footsteps behind, Logan instantly stopped in his tracks and turned to the girl still following behind him, a smile on her lips as she looked at him like he was the sun itself.
Logan’s teeth gritted. "Didn’t I tell you to leave?"
"Well I don’t know where I am, and I’m lost, the only option is to follow you"
"Ha.." Logan simply ignored her as he continued his walk with his hands in his pockets.
Estel grinned widely knowing he was too bored to give any two thoughts about her, so she rushed to walk by his side.
"Why do you always look bored about everything?"
Silence.
"You’re very handsome, mister!"
Silence
"I think you’re an interesting mister, even though that fox called you a recluse I don’t think you’re, I think that you’re a good person!"
"Don’t drown too far in your thoughts child, you know nothing of me and I don’t care what you think of me"
Estel only giggled at his words and Logan stared at the girl with a bored expression before darting his eyes to a distance, where his mother stood talking to one of the magical creatures which was a unicorn.
In their presence, Yelena turned her eyes to the company and smiled when she saw her son. She had beautiful straight silver hair, endowed with a golden pin holding some of the hair up, she was dressed in a red beautiful gown that suited her body perfectly and was light against her skin, allowing the calm wind to carry it perfectly, making her look like a fairy.
Estel was amazed by the beautiful woman that stood before them, she was so stunning and she has silver hair too! Why is it that everyone here has characteristics just like her papa?
"There you are" she mused at her son before her golden eyes darted to Estel. Yelena paused seeing her eyes and what caught her attention mostly was the green ones, so familiar.
