SIGNING IN: BEING SHOWERED BY HEAVENLY BLESSINGS FOR FIVE YEARS -
Chapter 302 - 300: I LIKE YOU
Chapter 302: Chapter 300: I LIKE YOU
Diamond was slightly taken aback when she heard that. After how they parted, she thought that the lady wouldn’t bring the issue up, but it seemed that she was still persisting.
Seeing her like that, a genuine smile appeared on Diamond’s face. She liked this lady already. Where could she find such a straightforward and accepting mother-in-law in the future?
Of course, just because she liked the other didn’t mean that she would like her son. After all, she has standards and not just any Tom and Jerry could be pushed towards her.
However, since the lady had come back to her on her own, Diamond didn’t have the guts to give her the cold shoulder.
So, without revealing too much, Diamond fished a business card from her purse and handed it over to the lady.
"Aunty, that’s my personal number. You can contact me directly there!" she explained as she gave the card over and that was her highest degree of sincerity towards her.
She might have given her Garnet’s number if she wasn’t so sincere.
Accepting the card, the woman smiled brightly at Diamond.
"I didn’t catch your name earlier. You can call me Ma Simpson or Aunt Grace," Grace introduced herself finally.
Diamond felt amused recalling how they had talked so much and yet didn’t know each other names before. "Diamond. My name is Diamond, and it’s nice getting to know you, Aunty Grace," she responded, sharing her name as well.
Rather than calling her as Ma Simpson, she preferred the other name as it made them more intimate and closer. She couldn’t joke and fool around the second she addressed her as Ma, so keeping to Aunty was the best way to go.
"What a beautiful name!" Grace complimented with a smile, her love for Diamond increasing with each second.
"Aunty, this is Kian, the other boyfriend I was talking about earlier," Diamond suddenly introduced Kian to Grace, smilingly shocking both Grace and Kian, who weren’t expecting something like that from nowhere.
’What is this girl doing? Is she not afraid?’ scared for her potential future daughter-in-law, Grace felt as if her heart was about to jump out of her rib cage as she wondered.
On the other side, Kian, who had never been introduced to other people except her family, was very shocked, and in disbelief that she introduced him directly like that without hiding the fact that it wasn’t just the two of them in the relationship.
He was filled with mixed emotions as he looked at her, astonishedly. Would she be okay with revealing such information?
It wasn’t normal for women to date many guys openly like that. He was afraid that she might be judged and that would affect her. She already suffered a lot because of love and he didn’t want them to be the cause of anything happening to her again.
However, at the same time, he was very happy that she wasn’t ashamed of their relationship. If she was, she wouldn’t have revealed the extra information which wasn’t truly necessary to reveal.
Just introducing him as her boyfriend was enough, and yet she emphasized him being the other. What did this show to him?
Diamond wasn’t someone who talked the talk but walked the walk. She had fulfilled her words about not caring about how the world thinks and how she would show them proudly to the world.
Wasn’t this the first step to that?

Meanwhile, on Diamond’s side, she didn’t feel any pressure at all. Being able to introduce her boyfriend properly sounded too perfect for her. She was glad she had done it.
Wasn’t the woman doubting her words earlier? Now, with her saying this in the open, wouldn’t that prove that everything she had said was the truth?
She just hoped that the lady would think twice before sending her son to purgatory. If she ever meets her son and she likes him, she knows herself pretty well.
Once she had bitten, she would never let go. She was that crazy and no one, including the mother, could stop her.
So, before she got too interested in this son, she just hoped that Grace would think about it seriously. After all, her precious son might not end up getting all the love that he wanted or wished for.
"You ... you were really being honest?" seeing that she had said it out loud, Grace ended up asking, though she had an inkling that the truth was as it was.
Diamond nodded smilingly before looking affectionately at Kian, "I never joke when it comes to the people I love. It’s not like I can benefit anything from lying."
"That’s true. You are really .... You are an honest child; Diamond and I like you even more now!" Grace said enthusiastically, her eyes sparkling as she looked at Diamond as if she was looking at a precious gem.
Kian, seeing Grace’s suspicious behavior, began to wonder what the woman was up to. However, considering that it was women’s talk, intervening and being too gossipy would infuriate the two.
As a result, he watched as the two talked back and forth for a while. Even when he took Diamond to the waiting car, he had no clue that his lover had been fished right in front of his nose.
Diamond didn’t feel like explaining in detail about the matter. After all, spoiling the wonderful moment with Kian wasn’t what she wanted to do. Besides, she didn’t even know what Grace’s son looked like. So why mess with everything when she could slowly investigate in the future?
What she didn’t know, however, was that as soon as Grace left them, she took out her phone and hurriedly made an international call. After a couple of rings, the call was answered and Grace, who was feeling ecstatic, enthusiastically, began to talk without giving the receiver a chance to respond.
However, just because Diamond was unaware, did that mean that someone else wasn’t aware of what was happening?
Andrea didn’t think so.
