’What does she gain by lying to me that much? It’s not like my son is that bad!’

The more she thought about it, the more she felt as if she had been cheated. But the question she had been asking herself was why would that girl do that to her?

It wasn’t like she would continue pestering her if things didn’t really go well as she thought.

However, she just couldn’t give up on her. From the second she saw her back in Frin, though they didn’t talk, she had taken a liking to her. She was reminded of her handsome son. Although he was young, her son was the best.

She was really worried about him. What if he gets cheated out there?

So, when she saw the young lady who was claiming to cheat in the future, she liked her so much and wanted her to be with her son.

At least being with someone who was not only beautiful but oozes so much self-confidence like that. Her son would be in good hands.

But now the question was, if the girl didn’t lie to her, does she still want her son to hook up with her?

She was a bit conflicted. She had never heard something like that happening in her country before. Even in the other countries she had traveled to before, she had never heard of such things happening. So how could she put her child’s lifeline in that girl’s hands?

As she lamented and deliberated about that, her eyes suddenly spotted the young girl who had become her potential daughter-in-law getting embraced in a taller man’s arms.

’Could that be the boyfriend she was talking about?’

The woman wondered as she continued walking in the direction of where Diamond and Kian were.

The two were stuck in an embrace, ignoring the curious gazes, as it felt good to see each other again.

The woman took a closer look at the man she was suspecting to be the boyfriend of Diamond, and she froze for a moment.

’She wasn’t lying to me!’ she concluded as she saw a familiar emotion that filled the man’s eyes.

They were filled with love and that wasn’t the kind between friends or siblings, but between lovers.

If it was like that, then did it mean that the man was truly sharing her with his brother?

Thinking that she didn’t lie to her at all, the woman suddenly increased her pace as she hurried towards the couple, who were now leaving the terminal, walking side by side with the man carrying most of the luggage.

Diamond was holding the bouquet of lilies she had received. When she recalled the meaning behind the flowers, her smile widened without saying anything.

’He loves me and misses me!’ that’s all she could think of, like a little child who had received the best gift ever.

After earning a lot of money, Diamond was no longer fazed by material things, though she liked them so much.

The flowers might be cheap, but it was the thought to her that counted, and that was why she was very happy.

She knew pretty well that the brothers were rich, but to her at the moment; it was the little actions that counted.

"Do you want to stay in the city for a while?" as they headed towards the car, Kian asked.

Diamond shook her head immediately and responded, "I like the countryside. Besides, that’s where your house is. We can check the city later."

She didn’t come to Iwarim to check the city but to go to his house. Of course, she didn’t mind checking the city since she had never been there, but spending quality time with her lover was the reason why she made such a trip in the first place.

Kian’s lips curled upwards upon hearing that. His eyes were sparkling as he looked forward to the upcoming days.

"Girl, wait for me!"

However, as the two were embroiled in their thoughts, a voice suddenly called in their direction.

Diamond, who was looking at Kian, who was trying his best to stifle his smile, recognized the voice and suddenly stopped.

’What is this lady trying to do now?’ her eyes narrowed as her mind concocted a lot of scenarios that might make her mad and force her to deal with the woman if she upset her.

However, assuming things which hadn’t happened yet were not good, so she turned around with a smile and waited patiently for the lady who seemed to be walking a bit faster to catch up to her.

"Aunty, walk slowly. Don’t hurt yourself!" seeing that things might go badly for her, Diamond cautiously warned, afraid of the lady facing a mishap.

The lady smiled relievedly at Diamond before slowing down.

When Kian saw Diamond stopping, he also followed along. However, he didn’t ask what was happening and simply waited for Diamond to explain when everything was done.

"You walk pretty fast. I nearly failed to catch up to you!" taking a deep breath, the lady exclaimed exaggeratedly, a friendly smile pasted on her face.

Seeing that familiar smile, Diamond was overwhelmed with relief. It seemed that she was overthinking.

"Hehe, seeing how you caught us, I can see that you are very energetic Aunty!" Diamond teased the lady with a smile, her taut muscles relaxing.

"Hehe, one needs to keep fit all the time!"

"Indeed, that is a must."

"I just didn’t want to separate without saying goodbye. Besides, I didn’t manage to get your number and I am here to get it!" getting straight to the point, the lady spoke directly to Diamond without looking at the man her baby son had to compete with in the future.
