Chapter 248: Chapter 246: RESOURCEFUL

[DING! Do you want to sign in?]

That was a beautiful question she was eagerly waiting for as she sat inside the familiar office with Garnet and Admire.

Ever since she heard what Andrea had been keeping from her, her head had been busy crunching and never stopped.

Honestly, she was shocked, and happy, and then fear crept into her as she imagined how bad it would be for her if Andrea wasn’t there for her.

But that was something to worry about later, as she was curious about what she would be getting as she pretended to listen to what Admire and Lucy were talking about.

[Ding! You have been rewarded with a low-tier alchemy cauldron.]

’What the heck?’ she couldn’t help but scream inwardly as she fidgeted on the chair, obviously surprised with what she had been given.

Her restlessness was obviously noticed by the other three people. They couldn’t help but look at her with worry.

"Miss, are you fine?" Lucy asked worriedly as she looked at Diamond.

"Ahem," Diamond cleared her throat as she calmed herself down before responding subtly, "I was getting a bit numb. You might continue," lying with a straight face.

Seeing that there was nothing wrong, Lucy and Admire resumed their discussion, but Garnet looked at Diamond for a bit longer before looking away.

After two hours of discussion, Diamond established another good deal with Lucy and, just like every time, Lucy promised to send her the quotation once she had seen everything.

Diamond didn’t see any problem with that, so she agreed.

Before she left, Lucy pulled her back to the office where she hesitatingly stated why she wanted to see her in private after a while.

"This ... I have seen your interest in houses and buildings before. And I think I might have something that might interest you!"

When Diamond heard that, a smile crept on her face as she looked at Lucy with an eager expression.

What she was lacking right now and feeling lazy to look for and also forgetting at times were buildings.

After registering a lot of companies, she was currently missing a few buildings to accommodate other companies. Although before she comforted herself and thought of doing others once the current projects were done, she didn’t mind adding a few more and progressing faster.

At the moment, she was left with two companies which didn’t have buildings. The entertainment company and the restaurant. These two required separate buildings, though the entertainment company would have its own restaurant just like the foundation.

There was also the cafe she was thinking about. It needed its own building. She had also promised to look for more buildings where she could have the counselors treat their patients in peace, and so far, she hadn’t even looked into it.

There was also the issue of workshops. These workshops needed a place as well. And renting places wasn’t something that she liked, so she needed to find a place for that.

There was a thought in her head regarding clubs and if she were to open one in the future, didn’t she also need a place for that?

In other words, and in summary, Diamond could never have enough of buildings or houses.

If she can’t live in a house, then rent it out and earn some back.

"Tell me about it!"

When Lucy saw the eagerness and interest on Diamond’s face, she heaved with relief, knowing that she had made the right gamble.

"Another client of mine wants to move abroad with his family and all the businesses. So, he wants to sell his fixed asset. He hasn’t yet put them on the market since he wanted to see if he could sell them privately without causing a ruckus!" Lucy explained.

It was just yesterday when she met another client of hers who talked to her about this and when she heard that and the commission she could get if she found a willing buyer in a week, Lucy was interested.

And recalling her appointment with Diamond, who seemed to be very rich with how carefree she was when it came to money, she decided to try her luck.

"Oh! I love this, totally. What kind of assets does he have? Show me!"

Diamond didn’t see any reason to dawdle, so she urged Lucy.

Lucy didn’t stand on ceremony, and shortly, Diamond was staring at a tablet and looking at several photos and videos.

The seller in particular didn’t really own a big business as one would imagine, but his property was very appealing.

The man was into imports and exports, so he owned a large property which had a warehouse, numerous spaces for parking and other facilities required.

The property was in an industrial area and the street it was located was a good one. There was even the headquarters of a famous and well-known beverage company in Frin, a warehouse of another famous wholesale dealer, and many more.

The seller also owned a building which he used as a shop front to sell his goods and it was in a good neighborhood.

The building was a two-story one and in a small shopping mall and that made it look very lucrative and attractive to her.

Lastly, the seller also owned a house in a neighborhood she didn’t know about, but looking at the place through the tablet, the neighborhood looked quite nice.

The houses there weren’t that expensive like the ones she was now used to, but it was considered one of the best areas people could live in, especially those who couldn’t afford villas and mansions.

The house, from the information she was seeing, was an eight-roomed house with four bedrooms, a study, a kitchen, a living room and a dining room.

There were also two toilets and two bathrooms since only the main bedroom had an en-suite.

The house was built in a very large yard, so there was still more space for an outside garage, as the house itself had a two-door garage.

There was a beautiful lawn on the front and at the back, there was a garden, a storage metal container and space to do whatever the owner or tenant would like to do.

All in all, it was a good house and one she was very interested in.

"So, when can I meet the seller?"
