Chapter 40: [Small Changes!]
"Thank you Sir. Snow Priest!"
"Thank you Sir. Snow Priest!"
"Thank you Sir. Snow Priest!"
The children all waved at Noah as he took the bus to the Central Temple once again. Unlike the last two days, he didn’t meet anyone this time, and neither was he stopped by anything unusual.
It was strangely calm.
’I am going to take a nap. Wake me up when we get there.’(Noah)
[Sure.](Elios)
Noah closed his eyes, taking a small nap while Elios observed the amount of Karma he had today.
It was far more than when Noah first arrived in this world, which was an achievement in itself. But Elios also knew that this was only the start as they still had a long journey ahead of them.
But still, before he could decide what he needed, he also needed to learn a few advanced skills on his own. He did have a few ideas, but he would need more time if he wanted to recreate them.
Time passed slowly as Elios made a rough plan to follow, both about the skills and the routine that Naoh would be requiring later on.
[Hey! Wake up!](Elios)
Noah’s eyes, half groggy, looked at the time, and saw that he reached here two hours earlier than the class.
Pondering about how to spend the two extra hours he reached Yuna’s office and submitted the entire report within 15 minutes.
As usual, Yuna was amazed to see him finishing 100 tasks before the sunset, and honestly, he was only getting faster every day.
’He isn’t going to take 200 tomorrow, is he?’(Yuna)
Even though Yuna knew it was impossible to finish that many tasks within a day, for some reason, looking at that unbothered expression of Noah made her think otherwise.
Noah yawned still drowsy from the nap, before he stretched a little.
"These tasks really never finish, do they?"(Noah)
A smile formed on Noah’s face as he looked at the piled up reports in front of her. He then looked at the bundles of reports filled on those shelves, making him wonder if this would ever end. But then thinking about it, he knew that miniscule tasks would keep on piling as long as people were lazy.
After all, most of the tasks that Noah took occured only because somebody didn’t do their job properly.
"Yeah. But thanks to you, most of the burden has started to lighten. Not only me but many others."(Yuna)
Noah, at this point, didn’t know that the extra help that he was doing for the people, was slowly motivating the masses to finish their own work. While there were surely a few who still were lazy enough to make mistakes here and there, but mostly started to change for the better.
If previously, a total of 200 to 300 common requests were coming into the temple everyday, now it had been reduced to 120-250, with the least being 123 requests. The record of the lowest amount of requests the temple had ever seen.
And that happened only within the first 2 weeks of Noah starting to do the tasks.
"It’s okay. It’s the least I could do."(Noah)
Noah smiled before leaving from there towards his room. Since he was still a bit sleepy, he decided it would be wise to complete at least one sleep cycle before getting refreshed for the class.
And thus, he went to the room, and removed his robe, placed it on the hanger before falling on the bed, immediately sleeping within a few seconds.
Elios chuckled before he shook his head. And then he focused on improving a few of his spells, trying to enhance the version, hopefully creating something good that both Noah and Elios can use.
Time passed slowly for both of them, until Elios woke Noah up through the message again. Noah, this time more fresh than before, got off from bed as he yawned and stretched a little.
Looking at the time, there were 20 minutes before the classes so Noah used a [Refresh!] spell on himself, something that Noah created for him for situations exactly like this. What he got in return for this was another curse spell [Lethargy] which made his target extremely drowsy for a few minutes.
Noah then put on his robe once again, and then picked up the study materials for the class. And then making sure that he had everything, he slowly walked out of the room, towards the area where the class was.
’How many students do you think there will be?’(Noah)
[I guess a few? Most of the time there were 3 or 4 who wanted to know more about the subject. Though many times there were none. But perhaps since you translated my words into something that they could grasp, there could be a few more? 10 to 15 perhaps?](Elios)
Hearing Elios words, Noah sighed. If they were going to be only that much, then his scope of being a teacher was going to be very limited. And as such, he should probably not think about taking that path at all.
’Perhaps being a Cleric would be better?’(Noah)
Noah thought as he entered the classroom, expecting a few students at most. Or perhaps none at all.
But...
[Whoa!](Elios)
’What?’(Noah)
Noah and Elios looked at the huge class, each seat taken by at least 3 students, a few students even sitting on the stairs at the back. The strength of the student was even more than before, making Noah wonder if he entered the wrong class or something.
But checking the time and the location, it seemed to be the right place.
Maintaining his composure, Noah walked towards the teacher’s desk and placed his books there. His eyes then scanned all the students there.
[They are probably from the other classes here as well. I can even find a few of the older acolytes that I have taught before.](Elios)
Elios was more surprised than Noah. But more than that, he felt really happy. A bit of prideful watching that there were so many students gathered here to learn from him. Perhaps one of the best days of life.
If anyone could have seen inside Noah’s brain, they might have found Elios jumping from happiness inside Noah’s brain.
Noah simply sighed before speaking what he prepared before with Elios.
"Before we start the doubt session, I will summarise the morning class once more. Then, we will start the question and answer session."(Noah)
