Not long after the replies were sent, the envoys from the different kingdoms started to arrive.

Many of them came rushing to our Kite Kingdom, as if they were afraid that they would miss the event.

Many of them were even treating this as if it was the event of the century.

That was why when they arrived, they all had such fervor in greeting us that I couldn't help feeling a bit scared.

After all, facing these people was like being prey being stared at by a predator.

This was something that we had already considered when inviting these countries, but it wasn't as if this was something that could be changed that easily.

It was all because there were far more smaller countries that were allowed to come to this wedding.

These were smaller countries that normally wouldn't have had the chance to even approach those from the empires of the human race. So there was no need to mention them being able to approach the other races.

I was a bit caught off guard when I saw him step up like this, but I didn't take a step back as I faced him properly.

After all, this was the man that was about to become my father in law.

Before saying anything, he suddenly reached his hand out towards me as if he was waiting for a handshake from me.

I slowly reached my hand out since I had no idea what he was doing, but then he suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me in close.

However, he didn't do that to give me a hug.

Rather, he pulled me in so he could whisper in my ears.

"If you do anything to my daughter, I won't forgive you." The killing intent that was in his voice was very clear.

When I heard this, I couldn't help revealing a bitter smile.

But I quickly straightened the look on my face before saying with a serious look, "I won't let her down."

The Merman King didn't say anything, he didn't even move as he looked at me with that same serious look on his face.

After a long moment of silence, he finally gave a slow nod as his expression relaxed a bit and he moved away from me. When he had fully moved away and everyone could see the look on his face, he had already changed it into a smile.

"I'm glad that you're the one that she chose."

Then that smile faded a bit as his expression became a bit serious again, "Thank you for taking care of her."

I grasped his hand at this and shook it hard before saying, "You can count on me. I won't let her down."

The Merman King's response was a single nod.

To the side, the Merman Queen revealed a wide smile after seeing this.

Other than these two, there was the group from the giants that I had to deal with.

Specifically, it was the group from the Vale Tribe.

Isra's father came forward just like the Merman King had done, but there was a size difference there. At the same time, he didn't come forward alone as several other giants also came to surround me.
