She Becomes A Hot Sensation After A Scandalous Affair -
Chapter 240
Chapter 240: Chapter 240
The filming went smoothly until the last scene, where George and Olga had to shoot a set replicating Lance’s bedroom in the mansion.
"Okay, this is the last scene of Hot Sensation. Let’s wrap it up and get this movie published!" Madeline said as she encouraged the rest of the crew after months of filming.
"Olga, George, get in your position!"
"Yes, Miss!"
"Got it, Madeline."
Thus, once everyone was in their positions, Madeline announced the cue, "Last scene of Hot Sensation, three, two, one, action!"
—Hot Sensation Last Scene—
Madeline and Lance sat on a sofa directly facing the floor-to-ceiling window.
Lance was only wearing his briefs, while Madeline wore her bra and panties; they just had wild sex after holding themselves for so long.
"What do you think we should do next, babe?" Madeline asked while her eyes stared at the beautiful garden scenery from the window.
"What do you mean, ’What should we do next’?" Lance frowned. "Do you want to do something?"
"Gee, you’re so slow," Madeline complained. She pinched Lance’s cheek and said, "What I mean is, do you plan to get married or am I just one of your flings? I know you have a history with many women, Mr. Lancelot Grant."
Lance gulped nervously.
No, he didn’t feel nervous because Madeline was asking him such an important question, but because Madeline kept on mentioning his past with many women.
Madeline’s mood soured when she didn’t receive a direct response from Lance. She rested her head on his chest and said, "I feel like you’re not serious with me, Lance. Don’t you know about my history with Jon? I genuinely fell in love with him, only to discover he already had a wife and child."
"Yet, just because Jon was more popular and well-liked than I did back then, people took his side completely and branded me as a slut who seduced a married man," Madeline said. "You should know that it took me years to finally move on from him, and I’m ready to give my all to you, Lancelot Grant."
Madeline lifted her head, staring at his eyes meaningfully as she continued, "I’m tired of heartbreak, Lance. I don’t want to fall in love for the second time only to be betrayed. That’s why I’m asking you if you’re truly serious about our relationship. No relationship is worth it if it doesn’t end at the wedding altar."
"So, if you’re not serious with me, then this is the right time to say so. You’ve had your fill of me. If you’re just going to get bored of me after a few more times and leave, it’s better to end things now and let me find my own happiness," Madeline said. "And maybe I can find another man to finally settle down."
Lance, who had been going back and forth in his mind, suddenly snapped when Madeline mentioned finding another man.
"You’ll be with another man after everything we did together?!" Lance asked. "Do you understand what you’re saying just now?"
"I fully understand. Look, Lance, I pride myself on my decisiveness. So if you want to end things now, let’s end it and let me go."
"No!" Lance wrapped his arms around her waist tightly. "You’re not going anywhere."
"Then, do you take me seriously or not?" Madeline popped the question again.
Lance finally nodded. "Yes, I’m taking you seriously. I was hesitating because this is the first time I’ve been with a woman who pops the question without any hint," Lance said. "You’re very straightforward, Maddy."
"Well, sometimes men can be very elusive about this. Some of them don’t want to be tied down in a marriage, so I don’t want to waste my time," Madeline said. She kissed Lance and added, "Thank you for taking me seriously, Lance. I promise that you won’t regret it."
"I should be the one who said it. We’re a match made in heaven, Madeline. I almost thought I’d lose you when I stupidly sent you to that reality show," Lance said regretfully. "I thought you’d leave me for Zane instead."
"I mean, logically, I should, since you are planning to humiliate me on the internet just for profit. But love doesn’t work that way. I fell in love with you first, so I’m sticking around," Madeline replied. "Unless you want me to go to Zane."
"Don’t!"
Madeline giggled, seeing Lance’s reaction. She didn’t know if Lance was pretending to be cute, but he was really cute whenever he got jealous of Zane, even though Madeline had no plan to stay with him.
If Lance broke up with her, she’d stay single for a long time, just like she did with Jon.
They stared at the sunset from Lance’s bedroom, and Madeline murmured, "You’ll bring me to your family’s castle next month, right?"
"Yes, I want to introduce you to them," Lance replied. "I told you, I’m serious about our relationship."
"Then I’ll try my best to steal your parents’ heart," Madeline said. She stared at Lance and whispered, "I love you, Lancelot Grant."
"And I love you too, Madeline Rose."
"CUT!"
—Hot Sensation Last Scene end—
"Okay, that’s perfect!" Madeline announced. "That’s a wrap, everyone. We’ve completed the filming!"
"Whoo!"
"Yeah!"
"Finally!"
Madeline heard the claps and the shouts of joy from the crew, along with George and Olga joining in.
But one person stayed silent the whole time. She glanced at her boyfriend and asked, "You don’t look too happy. Is there something you didn’t like about the last scene?"
"No, it’s a perfect scene, and I’m glad we finished filming. It’s been exhausting for both of us," Lance said. "I’m just appalled by my character. I feel like I’m not as good as this Lancelot Grant in the movie."
"Why? I think it’s an accurate portrayal of you," Madeline replied.
Lance turned his head, staring at Madeline, who looked so innocent, and he said, "I’m far more shitty in real life. I was malicious towards you, Maddy, and it took us a while to make up."
"Well, that’s true. But you can’t hold that against yourself. It’s in the past anyway," Madeline said. "Besides, I’ve been thinking about learning a few things from my mother since she’s married."
Lance’s eyes widened, his heartbeat accelerating instantly.
He had everything planned, including the custom-made wedding rings that had been preordered.
To make sure that Madeline wouldn’t propose first, he asked Jasmin for the exact store where Madeline ordered her wedding rings and then canceled her order, which was paid using his card.
On top of that, he ordered a pair of much more expensive rings to make sure Madeline would like them.
’Did she buy another wedding ring somewhere else? Or maybe she already knew about it. That’s why she just bought a pair of rings from the store?’
"W—What do you mean by that, babe? Are you planning something? Is that why you asked your mother?" Lance stuttered nervously.
Madeline almost laughed, seeing Lance getting nervous.
Of course, she already knew about Lance, who canceled her order.
In fact, she already prepared everything, including taking her best friend to the jewelry store, because she knew Jasmin would tell Lance about it.
She wouldn’t propose first, but her act would push Lance to be more proactive, or else Lance would forget about her true intention and bury himself with work.
"Why are you nervous? I’m just asking my mother about a few married women stuff," Madeline said.
"Such as?"
"That’s a secret," she winked, knowing it’d only make him even more antsy. "Don’t be so nervous, Lance. I won’t do anything, at least not until my order is ready."
This time, Lance felt relieved because Madeline seemed unaware that he canceled her order.
As the crew was busy wrapping up the last day of shooting, Olga and George walked towards the director’s seats.
Olga was the first to bow politely and said, "Thank you so much for the offer, Miss. You’re truly my savior."
"No, no, this is all of your hard work. You’ve proven yourself to be a skillful actress," Madeline smiled.
"How about me? I did great, too, right?" George asked, fishing for her compliment.
"You’re awful," Lance interrupted before Madeline could say anything. "I can’t believe I have to cast you as me."
George didn’t take his brother’s words seriously. This was just one of their bickering.
"I’m sure I played you better than yourself, right, Madeline?"
"Right," Madeline agreed with a grin.
"Babe!"
"What? He did it great, and I’m not going to let you play yourself in this movie because if that’s the case, I’ll have to play myself, too!"
"Alright, fine, you’re good, George," Lance admitted. "And you too, Olga."
"T—Thank you, Mr. Grant..." Olga said.
"Hehe, that’s what I want to hear from you, big bro. I can’t wait for this movie to be released. Who knows, it might become a box office success."
"It will. Don’t worry," Lance said reassuringly. "This movie will be the box office success of the decade."
