Chapter 237: Chapter 237

The second day of shooting was far more interesting for Madeline and Lance because it was time for George to play his role as Lance in the movie.

"Are you excited?" Madeline asked Lance as they settled into their director’s seats. "This is George’s first time acting, and he’s already in a big project. Maybe if his acting is phenomenal, he’ll switch job from neurosurgeon to an actor."

Lance scoffed, "He’s just lucky to be my brother, so it’s not hard to play as me because we look alike."

"Don’t be so harsh on him. We both know that he’s objectively the best actor to portray you," Madeline sighed.

"Hmph! I only picked him because you told me to. You know I can’t refuse what you asked for," Lance continued dodging, though Madeline knew that Lance made sure George was well prepared for his role.

For some reason, these three brothers never wanted to admit how much they loved each other.

It could be the pride of a man, or perhaps they were just not into showing affection.

George and Olga walked into the set, ready for their first scene together. They were dressed in the outfits Lance and Madeline wore during their first meeting in Madeline’s dressing room after her talk show with Larry.

"Are you guys ready?" Madeline asked kindly as she set up the small screen before her. "Don’t be nervous, okay?"

"Yes, Miss!" Olga said excitedly. She glanced at George and couldn’t help but admire him.

He wasn’t as well-built as the real Lancelot Grant and wore prescription glasses. But once he got into character, Olga saw a second Lance instead.

She had no attraction to the real Lancelot Grant; it was obvious he was in love with Madeline, and Olga wasn’t a total bitch who would hurt someone who helped her. She knew how to be grateful.

But that didn’t mean George was off the list, right? Both Lance and George were physically very attractive anyway.

Olga asked Madeline if the script was 100% true, and she said it was, but with a bit of dramatization to make it more entertaining for the audience. So she got excited thinking about the kiss scene that she would do with George!

"Don’t fuck this up, George! I’m telling you!" Lance warned before they started the scene.

"You said that four times today! Damn it, just trust me!" George said, annoyed. "Let me show you my talent as an actor!"

Lance snorted but said nothing as Madeline voiced the cue, "Everyone in position! Three, two, one, action!"

—Hot Sensation Scene #35–

Madeline returned to the dressing room after finishing an interview with Larry. She had a smug smile, knowing she’d be the talk of social media once more so she could get enough money to pay the bills.

But her smile vanished instantly because she saw a man sitting on the sofa in her dressing room, drinking whiskey while his legs rested on the table.

"Who are you?" Madeline asked warily. She was on guard, ready to leave in case this man wanted to assault her. "You should get the fuck out of my dressing room now before I’m calling the security guards, Sir."

"You’re being rather rude to your potential sponsor, Madeline Rose," Lance remarked. "But coming from someone as controversial as you, I supposed it’s not entirely unexpected."

As Lance rose from his seat, he approached Madeline with a small bottle of whiskey in hand. He handed her his business card and introduced himself, "I am Lancelot Grant, the CEO of Empress Entertainment, and I’ve been keeping my eyes on you."

Madeline instantly recognized Empress Entertainment but didn’t expect this devilishly handsome man in front of her to be the CEO.

And she also didn’t know what he was here for.

"I’m sure you already know about my controversy, Mr. Grant," Madeline asked cautiously. "So, why are you here?"

Lance drank a big gulp of whiskey to encourage himself and replied, "First of all, break up with your boyfriend. I want you to be mine, Madeline Rose."

Madeline’s heart skipped a beat. She stepped back as she couldn’t comprehend what she had just heard.

"Mr. Grant, do you hear yourself?" Madeline asked.

"Yes, I came here to make you my girlfriend. I’ll sponsor you as long as we get together," Lance smirked.

"I’m sure you don’t actually love me. I am far too problematic to be liked by a man of your caliber," Madeline pointed out. "So what do you need?"

"You’re sharper than I thought," Lance chuckled. "No, I don’t love you, nor do I ever have any interest in a problematic woman like you. But I can use your infamy for my gain."

"My... infamy?"

Lance nodded.

"You’ll be useful to me, and I’m sure you’d appreciate the money I will provide you as a sponsor," Lance said. He leaned forward and whispered in her ear, "So, consider this offer and call me when you’re ready, okay?"

Lance kissed Madeline on the cheek, and Madeline jolted.

"W—What was that for?!"

"A practice before we have to do it for real," Lance said before he left the room, leaving Madeline confused by what just happened.

—Hot Sensation Scene #35 End–

"Okay, cut! That’s perfect!" Madeline said gleefully. "You two did great!"

Olga’s cheeks reddened after the kiss. She felt giddy but tried her best to suppress her excitement.

Meanwhile, George didn’t seem to mind kissing Olga at all. He just shrugged it out while staring at the directors. "I did great, right?"

"Yep!" Madeline confirmed, but Lance snorted and said nothing.

However, he didn’t voice out any protest over the scene, so it was indeed good.

George looked at Olga, who was giddy all over, and praised her, "And you’re very professional to play as her. I almost hesitate to kiss you because you look and act like Madeline in real life. My brother would kill me if I kissed the real Madeline."

"I’d castrate you instead," Lance said coldly, and Madeline snickered.

**

The days of shooting went smoothly as usual, and George had proven himself to be far more talented and professional than they expected.

Thus, all the early scenes between Lance and Madeline in the Hot Sensation movie had been filmed.

However, their happiness didn’t last long as they finally bumped into their first stumbling block.

Today was Zane’s first scene, and it was obvious the tension between all of them was high, especially Lance, who had this grim look the whole morning.

Lance and Madeline sat in their director’s seats, staring at the set being prepared for Zane’s first scene with Olga.

Madeline poked on his arm to snap him out of his bad mood and asked, "Are you alright? You look pissed as hell."

Lance took a deep breath, not wanting to show his personal feelings to the set despite his displeasure.

"I’m still not happy with our casting choice. But I guess I can’t do anything about Zane since he’s essentially playing himself," Lance said. "But I don’t like how he keeps gazing at you with that longing gaze."

Madeline glanced at Zane, who stood absentmindedly at the corner of the room, waiting for the set to prepare for his first solo scene with Olga inside the bungalow after they won the first pool volleyball game in Summer Heat Lovers.

Zane was staring at her without blinking, and with that empty gaze, he had conveyed so many things, mostly longing and deep despair.

Though, Zane had given up on chasing after her, that didn’t make his deep-rooted love disappear into thin air.

His love for Madeline and his desire to have her lingered.

Madeline sighed, "You can’t control what people feel, Lance. Whatever he feels for me is his own business, but you know who I belong to."

Lance knew that Madeline was right, yet he couldn’t shake his frustration that Zane had access to stare at Madeline for a long time.

"Let’s get this over with. I want all of his scenes done as soon as possible," Lance said. He looked at the film crew, which had just finished setting up everything, and then started ordering them around.

"Everyone, get in your position! We’ll start the next scene between Zane and Madeline in the bungalow!" Lance announced.

Everyone scrambled into place, including Zane and Olga.

Olga had been so excited about this, but she also got ten times more nervous than usual since she would share the set with Zane Eastwood, the megastar she had adored since she was young.

Zane and Olga sat on the bed as if they would have an intimate conversation in the scene, but Zane’s attention remained fixed on the real Madeline sitting in the director’s seat.

He completely ignored everyone, even Olga, who was supposed to be the ’Madeline’ in this movie.

"Eyes on your co-star, Zane Eastwood!" Madeline yelled, snapping Zane out of his daze.

"Oh, right..." Zane nodded, finally turning his head towards Olga. "Let’s do this... Madeline."
