Chapter 210: Chapter 210

"The fuck you mean I have to share half of my assets?! That woman barely does anything in the house! I worked hard for everything!" Jonathan Hale protested in front of the divorce lawyer. "I paid you a lot, so I don’t need to share a damn thing with her!"

The divorce lawyer let out a sigh "I understand your frustrations, sir. But you have been proven to have cheated on Mrs. Vivian not just once, but five times. One of them broke out as a huge scandal that almost ruined your career and ruined the life of Madeline Rose."

Madeline finally crossed his mind after a while. He had long forgotten about her after the scandal broke out.

He blocked and ignored her, cutting her off completely, and acted like a good husband for Vivian to save his marriage and career.

But now that he was about to get a divorce, his memory of Madeline Rose flooded his mind once more.

Madeline had a gorgeous face, a one-of-a-kind face, that would make you forget about your spouse at home.

She also had a sweet smile and a beautiful voice that soothed his heart.

He wasn’t sure if he truly loved her, but he knew that Madeline was very naive despite what was portrayed on social media.

"It’s already good enough that you can keep half of your assets, and your ex-wife doesn’t ask for a huge sum of cash for child support," The divorce lawyer said. "I think it’s just right for you to agree to everything before your ex-wife tells everyone about all of your other infidelity because it might ruin your career for good."

Jon knew he had no way out. Vivian was already kind enough not to ask for a crazy amount of money for child support and promised not to tell anyone about his infidelity.

But he still couldn’t accept half of his assets being taken away, not when all she did was take care of their child. It was a waste when he could hire a babysitter for a much cheaper price.

Nevertheless, he knew his position and signed the divorce papers in the end.

Jon followed the divorce lawyer to the front door and asked, "I want to keep this house, at least. But you can handle the rest."

"Yes, Sir. Mrs. Vivian also told me that she doesn’t want this house because you slept with one of your mistresses here," the divorce lawyer said, which stabbed Jon straight into his consciousness.

He watched as the divorce lawyer left with half of his assets and returned to the living room, where he threw himself onto the sofa.

He closed his eyes, thinking about all the good things between him and Vivian when they were married.

Vivian wasn’t a bad mother for their child.

But was she a good wife?

Not really.

She wasn’t pretty enough for his taste, nor did she take care of her appearance.

Even the botox she had taken didn’t help her case, she still looked old and ugly. So it wasn’t his fault that he cheated five times with younger women.

"Sir, this is herbal tea. You need it to calm down."

Jon opened his eyes and saw the ugly assistant that he had.

Olga had been working tirelessly with him for a while, and if he had to be honest, she was probably the most competent assistant that he ever had.

The only problem she had was her ugliness.

She was REALLY ugly, and he wasn’t even trying to exaggerate it.

On top of that, she often tried to mimic Madeline Rose’s makeup and demeanor, even her hairstyle. But it failed miserably because she didn’t have the god-given beauty Madeline had.

Olga stood politely in front of him as he took a sip of the tea, and snapped at her, "Move to the back. I don’t want my view to be ruined by your face. You’re too ugly."

The smile on Olga’s face vanished instantly. She knew she wasn’t the prettiest, but she worked tirelessly to keep her job.

She had lost all interest in seducing this bastard.

Not only because he kept insulting her appearance, he was also a total slack, an asshole with no feeling who cheated on a good woman five times.

She might not be the kindest woman on earth, but she really hated cheaters and mistresses. That’s why she became Madeline’s anti-fan; she was a mistress.

But now, facing this bastard, Olga began to wonder if Madeline had to put up with his poisonous tongue because she was so close to cutting it off while he was asleep.

But Olga still obediently stepped aside so her boss could watch the garden behind the glass pane while drinking tea.

He sat there silently before asking, "Do you think I’m a bad guy?"

’Yes, you’re a fucking bastard. You should die in a ditch, seriously,’ Olga thought. But she professionally comforted him. "No, sir. You are not. Your wife is the wrong one for leaving you."

"Hmph, I gave her a good life. She was just a backup dancer before she married me, and now she walked away with half of my assets. Life is unfair for a man." Jon turned her head toward Olga and asked, "Don’t you think so too? You women have it easy all the time. Just file for a divorce, and bam! Money and assets."

’You wouldn’t lose half of your assets if you didn’t get caught cheating FIVE TIMES! You have a cheating clause in your prenup, you donkey!’ Olga screamed in her heart, but she dared not say it out loud. "Yes, Sir. It’s very easy to be us. We just need to marry and divorce to get money."

"Man, I wish I could be a woman for once. Just trick a man into marrying me and freeload for the rest of my life."

’Do you want me to help? I can cut off your penis while you’re asleep,’ Olga cursed but still tried to flatter him. "I think you are a good man, Sir. You’re just unlucky to marry the wrong person."
