She Becomes A Hot Sensation After A Scandalous Affair -
Chapter 177
Chapter 177: Chapter 177
"But we agreed to have a movie night," Troy sighed. "At this point, I feel like you’re dating that Psycho Moth rather than given how preoccupied you always seem to be with the idea of him."
Windy chuckled. "Babe, it’s a job I can’t ignore. I promise that I will make it up somehow. Besides, you also need to work on your draft, right?"
As a popular murder-mystery author, Troy had a lot going on in his life as well, though he did most of it in front of his laptop, so he spent his day cleaning the house like a good stay-at-home boyfriend or went to the grocery store or coffee shop to write his draft.
However, as he was isolated from other people, he couldn’t help but be dependent on Windy. He would feel empty and sad whenever Windy got busy with her duties as a detective in this crime-ridden city.
"Sometimes, I feel I have to keep you in a cage, or at least a leash, so you won’t leave me alone," Troy murmured.
Windy giggled and pinched her cute and meek boyfriend’s cheek. "It can’t be helped. But don’t worry, I’ll find time for ourselves, alright?"
"Well, I have to leave now. See you later, hon," Windy said as she kissed Troy and left in a hurry.
Troy watched as his girlfriend left the apartment, and the meek expression turned sharp and cold as he realized that Windy would never change.
"Ah, Windy, my sweet baby," Troy murmured with a cold edge to his voice. "Even if Psycho Moth doesn’t exist, you will find another way to avoid me. You’re neglecting my love, so I can’t help it, right? After all, I always need your attention, and this is the only way."
Troy took out his second phone and began searching for another victim for today.
He typically sought out his victims on platforms like Tinder, and occasionally Grindr, because he didn’t care whether it was a man or woman. He didn’t intend to sleep with them anyway. He just wanted to lure them to one of his secret apartments and kill them right there, butchering them until they were nothing but a few pieces of flesh.
The motivation behind his gruesome actions
"I want your attention, babe," Troy said with a smile as he swiped through Tinder. "You seem obsessed with Psycho Moth, so let me be him."
"CUT!"
—Psycho Moth Scene #1 End—
Zane’s expression changed in less than a second when the director ended the scene.
"Okay, that’s perfect! You two have undeniable chemistry. The first scene without needing a retake!" Director Patton said while focusing on the small screen in front of him. He clicked his tongue in awe.
Madeline thanked the director, but Zane simply returned to his room, ignoring everyone on the set.
"You have twenty minutes of rest before the next scene. If we keep this pace, we should be able to finish the whole season in just a month or two," Director Patton announced optimistically.
"T—Then, I’ll get a rest first, director."
Madeline returned to her private room, and as she sat on the sofa, she got a text from Lance with a picture attached to it.
Madeline clicked on the picture, and it was a list of cafes and bars. Some were familiar, and many were not.
Thus, she texted Lance.
-
What is this?
-
It took Lance roughly five minutes to reply.
-
That’s the list of cafes Bertha Marsh worked at as a singer. It’s her livelihood, and I’ve paid all of them to replace Bertha with another singer instead. I hope this is enough to make you happy, Maddy.
-
Madeline was pleasantly surprised by this.
She hadn’t expected Lance to do what she requested and even went as far as exacting payback for what Bertha had done to her.
Strangely, Madeline didn’t feel an ounce of pity for Bertha.
That bitch had knowingly tried to set up an elaborate scheme to sabotage her career; in a sense, Elly was better than Bertha because at least Elly didn’t try to ruin Madeline’s career after Summer Heat Lovers ended.
With a satisfied smile, Madeline asked Lance a question..
-
How did you get the list so fast?
-
This time, Lance took a while to reply.
-
I got it from her former assistant, who had a grudge against her. She somehow reached my personal email and gave me the list and contact information for the cafe and bar owners.
-
Madeline frowned when she heard this. For some reason, she found it confusing how a mere assistant from an unknown singer could get Lance’s email because that was the work of a hacker or at least a very advanced tech guy.
But she shrugged it off, knowing Lance would find a way to protect his personal information after this.
"Well, that’s one way to make me happy," Madeline chuckled as she grabbed her script and started rereading to have a better grasp of her character.
**
Meanwhile, Bertha just got shocking news when each of the bar and cafe owners where she worked suddenly terminated her contract simultaneously.
"What the hell is happening!" Bertha screamed hysterically as she frantically dialed each of the bar and cafe owners, only to be met with silence on the other end of the line.
They all blocked her, and she wouldn’t know what happened unless she came to those cafes and bars and inquired in person.
In a panic, she frantically grabbed her bag and yelled at her assistant, "Olga! Olga! Where the fuck are you?!"
Olga walked into her room, where she would usually meekly nod and wait for instructions.
But today, she puffed her bosom and looked at Bertha arrogantly. "What?"
Bertha glared at her ugly assistant, who wore a foolish grin while she was in a dire situation.
"Come with me to one of the bars I used to work in. They all terminated my contract for absolutely no reason!"
"For no reason? Pfft—"Olga struggled to contain her laughter as she mocked Bertha.
"What’s so funny, you ugly bitch?!"
"Well, I just find it absurd that you think I won’t retaliate after all the abuse that put me through," Olga said.
