She Becomes A Hot Sensation After A Scandalous Affair -
Chapter 163
Chapter 163: Chapter 163
"Oh, that one will be for us on our honeymoon. I think I’ve saved that spot for us to have a vacation with our children—" Madeline said boldly yet lightheartedly, as if it were just a casual conversation that Lance should’ve just listened to and nodded in agreement no matter what.
"So what do you think, Mr. Grant? Do you like my idea? Or do you have another suggestion in mind?" Madeline asked. She slowly ran her fingers on his chest, which made him breathe heavily as he tried to control himself because they weren’t alone in this mansion anymore.
"I’m open and flexible for suggestions," she added.
Lance wrapped his arms around Madeline’s waist and replied, "You can do anything to this mansion, baby. What’s mine is yours."
"You really know how to make a woman happy." Madeline giggled as she was about to reach his lips for another kiss when Nathan interrupted them.
"Sis, dinner is ready," Nathan said.
Madeline quickly pushed Lance, who was already pouting his lips while closing his eyes, ready for another kiss.
Once he realized that Madeline wouldn’t kiss him, he opened his eyes slowly and saw Nathan staring at him with a judgmental look as if he had sinned greatly.
"O—Oh, okay, let’s have dinner. I’m starving," Madeline said as she followed Nathan to the dining room.
"Hey, shouldn’t I be invited as well?" Lance asked as he followed his girlfriend.
Nathan looked over his shoulder and said, "If you’re into a regular human’s food."
"I’m not a goddamn reptile. Of course, I’d eat it!" Lance gave Madeline a look of ’Can you believe what he said?’
Madeline chuckled. "He just meant that he’s unsure if you can eat his cooking. After all, we’re not super rich like you. Our dinner is usually not fancy, and professional chefs do not delicately craft it."
"I thought I already hired a few cooks for us," Lance commented. "If you don’t like what they cooked, I can find a replacement."
"No, but I tell them to help my brother cook. Since this will be our first time to eat together like a family, I guess I just want to make sure you get to feel the authentic dinner of the Rose family," Madeline said. She elbowed Nathan and asked, "Right, Nathan?"
"... Right," Nathan nodded lightly.
"Hihi, don’t be so tense. Lance is not as scary as he looks," Madeline said. She turned her head at Lance and said, "My brother is so nervous because you will eat his cooking. He thought it’d disappoint you."
"S—Shut it, sis!" Nathan snapped, but his ears were so red. "Besides, I don’t see Mr. Grant as scary anymore after I saw you two smooching like horny dogs in the living room."
"Well, you can’t help it sometimes, right, Lance?"
"R—Right..." Lance nodded, but his cheeks also heated up because he got embarrassed.
They sat at the long dining table together. But they only occupied one end because it’d be too awkward if they ate while being five meters away from each other.
Lance stared at the food in front of him.
Madeline was right.
This wasn’t the usual food he’d eat, not even in his family’s home in England.
"Well, this is a feast for us," Madeline said genuinely while pointing at each dish. "We have asparagus cream soup, beef brisket with barbecue sauce, and pecan pie with maple syrup. I’m the one making the pecan pie, by the way."
"This is what we usually eat during special days. But since this is our first time eating together, I thought we could start by celebrating it with good food, right?" Madeline began distributing the cream soup to each of them first, then cut the beef brisket and put it on each plate. Lastly, she cut the pecan pie and gave all of them one slice.
"You can always eat more if you want it," Madeline added while smiling at Lance. "But don’t eat too much, or you’ll get bloated, and that’s for you, Nathan."
"Tsk, I know," Nathan pouted while scooping his asparagus cream soup.
Lance watched how Madeline did everything so naturally. He kept staring at her unblinkingly, as if he had been bewitched.
He swallowed his saliva, unsure why he got so turned on when he watched Madeline doing casual things such as distributing their dinner.
’What’s next? Will I get turned on while watching her eat a snack? Gardening? Cooking? Taking a bath—oh, wait, that last one— we already had sex after she took a bath once. It was awesome.’
Lance’s train of thought began to go south, and he forgot how long he had been staring at Madeline.
Madeline glanced at Lance, who was staring at her like an idiot.
Thus, she cleared her throat and said, "Eat your dinner, Lance. Or do you not like it? I can ask the cook to make your favorite—though I don’t know what that is."
Lance snapped out of his daze and began scooping the asparagus cream soup.
He thought it wouldn’t taste as good at first because it wasn’t made by a professional chef, but he still had to show appreciation because it was Madeline’s little brother who made it.
But, to his surprise, the cream soup was tasty.
’Huh, this is actually really good,’ he thought.
He picked up a slice of beef brisket and ate it slowly, and it also tasted amazing!
While it wasn’t as good as what Cedric usually made, this was already a sous chef’s level of food.
"Did you make this by yourself?" Lance asked Nathan while pointing at the beef brisket. His expression was flat, so Nathan thought that he disliked the food.
Nathan got nervous instantly.
He glanced at his sister, who appeared unbothered by Lance’s comment just now.
Nathan clenched his fork and nodded reluctantly. "My sister told me I should make everything myself. The cooks helped by preparing the ingredients, but it’s all my—I mean, our mom’s recipe."
"This is great," Lance commented genuinely. "It’s not as good as my cousin’s cooking. But he’s a professional chef who owns The Oak Tree, a Michelin-star restaurant. But you do have the potential to be just like him."
