She Becomes A Hot Sensation After A Scandalous Affair -
Chapter 161
Chapter 161: Chapter 161
Madeline didn’t understand what went wrong. She just thought it would be great for everyone to know that Madeline would always protect him no matter what, so nobody would bully Nathan.
But apparently, she made a mistake.
"Nathan, I just want to help..."
"You can help by NOT showing your face to my friends!" Nathan yelled, but then he realized that he was snapping at Madeline, who probably didn’t understand the problem he’d be experiencing in the future after Madeline came to pick him up. "Please never pick me up again, Maddy. I’m begging you. You’re only going to make my school life harder than it is."
Madeline was stunned by his sudden outburst.
She didn’t understand the concern, but she knew Nathan was in a terrible mood now.
Thus, all she could say to defuse his anger was, "Don’t hesitate to tell me if you need my help. I’m always here to protect you, Nathan."
Nathan didn’t give her an answer. He leaned on the window while staring at the scenery outside.
He was so disturbed by the gaze that his friends gave to Madeline, and he knew damn well that his school life would get ten times more difficult now.
People in his school always asked him if he was Madeline Rose’s real brother.
But since Nathan had always refused to answer, it became just that—a rumor.
As long as Madeline didn’t show up at his school, then it’d stay as a rumor that nobody could prove.
Until now...
Nathan glanced at Madeline, who lowered her head and tried to distract herself with her phone.
He felt guilty for yelling at his big sister, but Madeline seemed unaware of the mess she had caused in his life.
But he could imagine all of those perverted comments that his friends would make to his sister, and as well as the scathing comments from the girls.
’Of course, I can’t just stay still and listen to them calling you a slut, or talking about you as if you’re a pornstar,’ Nathan thought.
He took a deep breath, trying to brace himself for what was about to come in his school life.

They drove into the gated community, and Nathan’s first comment was, "You said that we’re going to live in a small house."
"I need a way to persuade you out of our old house, so I have to say that we’re going to live in a small house or apartment," Madeline replied. "But it’s okay, we’re going to stay in this new home—well, mansion—temporarily until I can afford my own apartment or house."
"Then whose mansion is this? Lance’s?" Nathan asked.
"Yes, the three of us will live together."
Nathan didn’t like the idea of living with a stranger. After all, he never had any real conversation with Lance before.
On top of that, he had a feeling that Lancelot Grant wasn’t the type who would settle with his sister. So, he always stays guarded, not wanting to see his sister get hurt for the second time.
Sensing the unease in Nathan’s face, she said, "Don’t worry, he has changed. He asked us to move in with him for our safety."
Ada parked the car in front of the main entrance, and once they entered the mansion, Nathan was awed by the spaciousness of the mansion, the wide glass pane facing the coast, and also the luxurious furniture around the house.
He grew up in a normal suburban house in Los Angeles, so it wasn’t spacious or fancy like this mansion.
"Miss, Young Master told me that he would return before dinner. Do you have any requests?" the butler asked.
"I—I will cook..." Nathan said.
Madeline glanced at her brother, who was used to preparing dinner for both of them. She knew Nathan wouldn’t be happy if she told him not to do anything in the house.
So she said, "Please show my brother his room, and then let him help the chefs in the kitchen."
The butler gave Madeline a questioning look. "Miss, your brother is under the care of Young Master. He’d get mad if we let your brother cook."
"I’ll tell Lance about it. My brother loves to cook at home, so let him do his thing," Madeline said as she patted Nathan’s shoulder proudly.

Lance had just finished his work for the day. He massaged his brows as he got a headache from having to deal with all the shit that Theodore threw at him while also trying to replace the board of directors and shareholders.
On top of that, he just got a call from Uncle Michael—his father’s trusted aide—that he sent a dozen maids and butlers to Lance’s mansion, and he needed to allow at least two butlers to stay and maintain the huge mansion he had.
"What is Uncle Michael doing? Sending so many new maids and butlers to watch the mansion and forcing two of them to stay and oversee everything," Lance commented. "It feels like Dad is trying to watch over Madeline."
"Well, I think there’s nothing wrong with it," George remarked.
Lance looked at his little brother, who had come to his office for a visit. George sat on the sofa, crossing his legs while sipping a cup of tea. "I mean, so what if Dad is watching over your potential wife? He probably doesn’t want another case of an old hag penetrating our family, right?"
Lance hummed as he was thinking about his family situation.
Angel had been a thorn in their family.
She posed as a regular nanny who came to care for the boys when their parents were too busy with so many things and could only take care of Lily, their youngest sibling, who was just a toddler at the time.
Thus, they spent most of their time with Angel, and that bitch had successfully brainwashed Theodore into thinking that he was into an older woman.
Just like how their father married their mother, who was eight years older than him.
"God, I hate that saggy bitch," Lance murmured, as he had a longtime grudge against that woman, and couldn’t wait to kick her out of their family.
