She Becomes A Hot Sensation After A Scandalous Affair -
Chapter 135
Chapter 135: Chapter 135
Lance hardened his heart and deliberately ignored Madeline, who kept staring at his back. He also paid no heed to the stares of everyone who looked at him with a questioning gaze.
He didn’t care about anything else other than beating that scum, Zane Eastwood, until his face was unrecognizable.
He drove through the traffic towards Zane’s agency, the Galaxy Entertainment Agency.
It was a small agency that employed only a few dozen people and owned a small, five-story building near the coast.
Galaxy Entertainment was considered a small agency because it currently relied on one moneymaker, Zane Eastwood.
So that company would have submitted to Lance because they knew not to mess with a big shot.
Lance hated using his power to suppress others, but it was the only way to get peace of mind.
His mind was in chaos as he kept thinking about Madeline and how things would’ve been better if they had a better relationship—a genuine one rather than this contractual bullshit he had planned for her.
But it was too late now, and if Lance wanted to fix this problem, he had to eliminate the first hurdle on his path, Zane Eastwood.
Lance parked his car in front of the lobby and stormed inside.
The receptionist gasped when she saw the intimidating Mr. Lancelot Grant approaching her with a look that could kill.
The receptionist trembled when Lance stood in front of her.
"G-g-good afternoon, Mr. Grant. M—May I help you?" The receptionist tried to maintain her professionalism despite her fear.
"Where is Zane Eastwood?" Lance asked coldly.
"D—Do you have an appointment with Mr. Eastwood, sir?" the receptionist asked. But the silence from Lance’s side was enough to send shivers down her spine. She knew she had to save herself and replied, "H—He is on the top floor, sir. He’s currently having a meeting with the CEO..."
After getting the answer he needed, Lance rushed to the elevator and went up to the CEO’s office. He was well acquainted with the CEO of Galaxy Entertainment, and Lance had been planning to acquire this company under Empress Entertainment, but now all Lance wanted to do was crush everything to dust!
Ding!
As the elevator door opened slowly, Lance saw the CEO’s office door wide open, and three men walked out of the room with big smiles on their faces, as if they had just made a million-dollar deal.
"Mr. Grant, your investment is well appreciated. We will make sure that your investment will turn into a huge profit," Isaac Roth, the CEO of Galaxy Entertainment, said while shaking hands with the investor he had just made a deal with, Theodore Grant from Silver Line Inc.
"Likewise, I appreciate your cooperation, Mr. Roth," Theodore said with an amicable smile. He looked at the handsome man behind the CEO and shook his hand as well. "You will be the key to this project, Mr. Eastwood. I hope you can give us your best performance."
"I assure you that I will do my absolute best, sir," Zane said as he shook Theodore’s hand. "Though, in the end, I also need her to cooperate since she will be my partner in the new show."
"Oh, it won’t be a problem. After all, she is contracted under Empress Entertainment. Of course, she will agree to this golden opportunity," Theodore said. He slowly turned towards Lance, who stood dumbly inside the elevator. His smirk turned malicious as he saw that Lance must’ve been devastated. "Right, Lance?"
Everyone’s eyes darted at Lance at the same time. They all had the same malicious smirk as if they were colluding against him.
"Oh, I’m sorry, Mr. Lancelot Grant. I didn’t know you were here," Isaac apologized perfunctorily. But now that he had gotten a bigger backup, he didn’t need to be so cordial with Lance anymore.
Lance clenched his fist. He didn’t know why Theodore was here, but he knew damn well that his big brother wanted nothing but trouble.
"Did you invite him, sir?" Zane asked Theodore.
"No, but he should be happy because I just supported his new TV show project and found the two main leads," Theodore chuckled. "I’m here to support my little brother, after all."
Lance stepped out of the elevator with a heavy step. He walked towards them with his fist clenched.
He took a deep breath, as he didn’t want to actually punch his big brother, despite how much anger was swelling inside his heart like a bubble, ready to pop anytime soon.
"What are you doing here, Theo?" Lance asked.
"I’m helping you. The board of directors from your company sent me your proposal about making a TV show. So I want to help by making a deal with Zane Eastwood," Theodore replied. "He will be the male lead of your new TV show, and that woman, Madeline Rose, will be the female lead. Your TV show will be a guaranteed success."
"I never agreed with this," Lance refuted. "And Madeline hasn’t said yes to the offer either."
"Oh, she will. We both know she needs money, right?" Theodore grinned. He walked towards Lance and whispered in his ear, "I recently found out that you are dating that filthy bitch. You are spoiling our family reputation, Lancelot Grant. This is a warning: be a good brother, and let me find a good woman for you to marry. You don’t need to act like a thug against your brother, right?"
Lance’s anger exploded the moment Theodore referred to Madeline as a filthy bitch. He grabbed his collar and was ready to punch Theodore in the face.
"Take that back, you scum," Lance threatened.
"Or what?" Theodore scoffed. "Punch me now, and let’s see if you can afford to offend me, your own big brother. Do you think Dad will trust a scoundrel like you compared to me?"
Lance’s mind flashed back to the moment the brothers gathered in their father’s—Henry Grant—study.
Their father looked haggard and significantly weak compared to his usual vigorous appearance.
On top of that, his eyes were full of woe, as if he were under constant stress and grief.
