Shattered by Fate, Restored by Truth
Chapter 69: Three Years Ago

Chapter 69: Chapter 69: Three Years Ago

Letting go is impossible, absolutely impossible.

Miss Su Wanxin shook her head vehemently, her eyes pleading, "What will you say when you open the door? What will others think when they see you in my room?"

"Let them think whatever they want, it’s the truth anyway."

Su Wanxin: "...Fu Shihan, give me a way out, you know I really don’t want to be involved in scandals with you."

"Miss Su, are you asleep?" The person outside the door wasn’t giving up and knocked again, asking softly.

Fu Shihan’s eyes darkened as he looked at Su Wanxin clutching onto his hand, he agreed: "Fine, I’ll give you a way out. Kiss me, and I’ll pretend this never happened and keep quiet."

Here it comes again.

He had threatened her countless times with this tactic.

"Impossible, just give it up." Su Wanxin stubbornly refused.

"Okay." Fu Shihan nodded and turned back to look at the door, raising his voice. "Su..."

He only managed to utter one syllable of Su Wanxin’s name when she suddenly jumped up and covered his mouth.

Su Wanxin looked at him in panic, tightly covering his mouth with her hand to prevent him from speaking.

"Despicable, shameless!"

"I don’t mind you adding ’vulgar’ too."

Fu Shihan sneered, a swift glint of coldness flickered in his eyes as he slowly spoke the words that made Su Wanxin tremble with fear.

"Wanwan, if you orchestrated the car accident three years ago, I will kill you. If not, you know what I’ll do to you."

In the way he likes and she fears, as the price for her abandoning him for three years.

He will make her understand the consequences of leaving him.

Su Wanxin nervously swallowed, feeling a chill on her back. She tried to remain calm and made eye contact with Fu Shihan.

"In a lawful society, I don’t believe you would really dare to kill someone."

"Is that so? Since when have you become so naive?" Fu Shihan raised an eyebrow.

He was right; he had always killed without shedding blood, and Su Wanxin had seen it firsthand.

Su Wanxin lowered her head, frustrated and resentful, the disparity in their vigor instantly apparent.

She had never won against him since childhood, not even once. Neither in argument nor in fight; why was it so miserable?

Seeing her conceding posture, Fu Shihan smiled satisfactorily. He bent down to kiss her forehead, then patted her head, soothing her: "It’s getting late, go to sleep."

Su Wanxin was somewhat surprised by his words; she thought he would shamelessly stay here.

As if Fu Shihan heard her inward cursing, he pressed his finger against her forehead, causing Su Wanxin’s body to sway and lean backward, collapsing onto the bed.

He turned and left, pushing the door open; the corridor was deserted. The unwelcome man who had received no response earlier had already vanished.

After Fu Shihan left, Su Wanxin stared blankly at the ceiling, utterly agitated.

She had no mood to think about anything else, so she simply turned off the lights and went to sleep, saving her pent-up rage for tormenting others tomorrow.
