Chapter 50: Chapter 50 Married, Ugly Rejection.

Fu Shihan couldn’t fathom Su Wanxin’s thoughts and was very agitated.

She deliberately distanced herself and infuriated him, refusing to get close, but he couldn’t figure out why.

Just as Fu Shihan knew Su Wanxin’s preferences like the back of his hand, Su Wanxin knew him just as well. So she knew what he detested and always managed to hit where it hurt, even at the expense of slandering herself.

Fu Shihan clearly felt that she did not want things to go back to how they were three years ago. At least, she no longer wanted to return to his side.

Fu Shihan stood up and went to his study for a cigarette, then busied himself with work for a while. He was distracted and finally couldn’t resist turning on the surveillance footage of the master bedroom.

Su Wanxin had just finished taking a bath and was sitting by the window, gazing at the night view outside.

She curled up, wearing only one of his white shirts, her long, straight legs subtly visible. Chin resting on her knees, hands wrapped around herself. Who knows what she was thinking, quietly staring outside with a tilted head.

Fu Shihan gazed at the person in the surveillance, his mood gradually improving. Until he saw her sit up straight and skillfully light up a cigarette.

Unaware of the surveillance inside the room, Su Wanxin relaxed and let herself revel in her emotions, enjoying the solitude.

A faint trail of smoke left her lips, and Su Wanxin looked up, then took another drag, gently laughing after successfully blowing a smoke ring.

Just like that, she treated smoking like play, finishing one cigarette and lighting another unfulfilled. But before she took a couple of drags, she heard an unusual noise from the door.

Fu Shihan had said he didn’t want to see her tonight, and Su Wanxin knew he was angry and wouldn’t come looking for her, so she hadn’t been on guard and left the door unlocked, but she didn’t expect...

Fu Shihan pushed the door open, catching Su Wanxin off guard. She stared at him in a daze, then like a child caught misbehaving by a parent, suddenly snapped back to reality, panicking and hiding her hands behind her back. Then she frowned, hissing as she sharply inhaled at the cool air.

The cigarette had burned her hand, painful.

Su Wanxin’s expression was pained for a moment, but upon seeing Fu Shihan approach, she still retreated backwards and asked with feigned calm, "Is there something you need?"

"Is there something you need?" Fu Shihan scoffed coldly. He bent down and yanked her arm, his gaze dark and accusatory as he looked at the burn mark on her left hand. "The room is full of smoke. You’re asking if I need something?"

He never smoked in the bedroom, and Su Wanxin, knowing she was in the wrong for dirtying someone else’s place, could only lower her head and apologize. "Sorry, I’ll clean it up in a bit."

Fu Shihan was too angry to speak. He frowned at her injured hand, realizing they didn’t have any burn cream at home, then turned and went downstairs, taking her cigarettes and lighter before leaving.

He drove to a nearby 24-hour pharmacy, bought burn cream and bandages, and hurried back home.

On the roadside, next to a red Ferrari stood two scantily clad young women. They had taken notice of Fu Shihan from the moment he appeared, occasionally peering towards the pharmacy waiting for him to come out. When they saw him push the door open and exit the pharmacy, one of them stepped forward to block his path.

"Hey handsome, add me on WeChat..."

"Married, ugly rejection."

Fu Shihan spoke expressionlessly, his eyes not straying to even glance at the two, walking directly past them to his car without a moment’s pause.

"Vroom—"

The sports car roared and sped off in an instant, disappearing into the night, leaving two frustrated and annoyed young women standing there, engulfed in car exhaust.
