Chapter 228: Chapter 228 Let me see
Fu Shihan has been domineering for so many years, he would’ve died hundreds of times if he didn’t have some real skills.
Su Wanxin entangled with him for a while but ultimately lost. Reluctantly, she satisfied his wish, feeding him his medicine.
In an instant, the room fell silent and the dim light elongated their shadows on the wall.
Su Wanxin lowered her head, looking at his eyes that sparkled like stars, then raised her hand to cover his eyes. Her red lips lightly held the medicine capsules and delivered them into his mouth.
He tilted his head back to receive them, wrapping his arms around her waist. After all the medicine was taken, he suddenly leaned back onto the bed, pulling Su Wanxin as she staggered and fell onto him, then he flipped her over, pinning her down.
"Let me see."
He reached out to lift up Su Wanxin’s clothes and turned on the bright overhead light, furrowing his brow slightly.
Since her return, their intimate moments had been few and usually under poor lighting.
He wanted to see her injured body, to see the scars left by her surgery.
Su Wanxin struggled to resist, but when strength is pitted against strength, the braver one prevails; she had no chance of overpowering him.
Fu Shihan’s movements were skilled as he unbuttoned her sleepwear, his gaze intensely sweeping over her pale skin.
Su Wanxin’s body wasn’t prone to scarring, and with the scar removal cream Mu Suyu had formulated for her continued use, her body did not have very noticeable scars from that major surgery.
But on a closer look, they were still visible.
Fu Shihan’s breath hitched, his gaze slowly moving up to her face.
Su Wanxin was tense as she met his eyes, her expression still showing no turmoil. After a moment, her voice trembling slightly, she said,
"Fu Shihan, I’m cold."
He pulled the blanket over her and tightened his hold, embracing her in his arms.
The room returned to silence; Fu Shihan turned off the light, his heart aching.
Su Wanxin listened to his heartbeat and slowly closed her eyes. She knew that anything she said now would be in vain; she couldn’t claim it didn’t hurt, or that she had no memory of that surgery. He wouldn’t believe her.
That night, she found it exceptionally difficult to sleep.
She dreamed a dream in which she ultimately couldn’t escape her fate of death, and that on the day she died, he married Sheng Qian.
...
By morning, Su Wanxin awoke, exhausted. Fu Shihan was already freshening up in the bathroom. She rubbed her uncomfortable chest, took a few deep breaths, and self-regulated.
Then, as if nothing happened, she went to work as usual, busy as ever.
During the lunch break, as she was about to eat the lunch Jing Jingwen had brought her, she received a call from Mu Xinghan.
"Want to chat?"
"Now? Are you outside?" Su Wanxin bit on her chopsticks, confused.
"Mm."
"Alright, wait for me two minutes; I’ll come out."
Su Wanxin quickly took a couple of bites of her food, thankful that Jing Jingwen wasn’t there to watch her today; otherwise, she would certainly receive a scolding.
She packed up her lunch box and went downstairs.
"I haven’t had lunch yet, what’s good to eat around here?"
Su Wanxin thought seriously, "There are many fast-food snacks around here, but they might not suit your palate. The rest is probably that hotel over there."
She gestured towards the distant hotel building.
"Want to give it a try?"
"Let’s go." Mu Xinghan tossed her a helmet, and a few minutes later, they arrived at their destination.
After parking, they walked side by side into the building. Su Wanxin was curious about why he sought her out today, and was about to quietly ask him what was the matter, when unexpectedly, they ran into the Fu Family.
