Time slowly passed, and half an hour went by unknowingly. The guests who came to the banquet were almost all present, and the lively atmosphere reached its peak.

Fu Shiyi and Sheng Qian had left to attend to their guests, leaving Su Wanxin standing there waiting for Shen Xiaochen to come, but instead, she received a phone call first.

Looking at the phone screen displaying "Unknown Number", Su Wanxin frowned and answered. The moment she pressed the answer button, she heard Mu Suyu’s voice—

Su Wanxin tensed up, and then heard a strange man’s voice.

"If you want to save your friend, come to room 12 on the 18th floor."

In that moment, Su Wanxin’s mind was in chaos. She clenched her fists and searched for Shen Xiaochen. When their eyes met across the space, Shen smiling, she knew this was a trap set by Shen Xiaochen for her.

Su Wanxin’s heart pounded uncontrollably, but she quickly calmed down.

"Let me hear her voice again, I need to make sure she’s with you."

Su Wanxin made her demand and the man readily agreed.

Fu Shihan was not around; she had to rely on herself. She wanted to ask Sheng Qian and Fu Shiyi for help, but the moment she took her first step, a strange man blocked her path.

"Miss Su, here is your room card, please come with me."

The man, dressed in a waiter’s outfit, smiled and looked at Su Wanxin. Su Wanxin met his gaze and asked, "Aren’t you afraid that I’ll scream here and let everyone know about your kidnapping?"

"If Miss Su is willing to see your friend’s face get damaged, feel free to scream."

The man’s smile was sinister and cunning, making Su Wanxin’s heart sink. "Fine, let’s go. I’ll follow you."

Having said that, Su Wanxin followed him. As they passed a row of dining tables, she secretly tucked a steak knife into her waistband.

Mu Suyu was skilled; if she could untie her ropes, the two of them could buy some time.

Su Wanxin’s expression remained calm as she followed the man. The man glanced at her doubtfully, not expecting her reaction to be so composed, completely different from the panic and helplessness he had anticipated.
