Chapter 371: Chapter 315 Ten Years (Five in One)_6

Perry said in astonishment,

"They are just traitors who split from our Dark Dragon Association, and now they’re shitting and pissing on our heads!"

Artem and the others cursed.

Upon hearing this, Su Ming’s astonishment grew; the Ghost Shadow Sect had actually split off from the Dark Dragon Association.

It seemed the matter was getting more and more interesting.

"You guessed right, someone must be supporting them in secret, otherwise they couldn’t have developed so rapidly."

Monica thought for a moment before replying.

"Then who could be supporting them in secret?"

Artem asked with curiosity.

"That’s unclear, but it’s easy to guess. There are only a few forces capable of supporting the Ghost Shadow Sect, either the City Lord or the Imperial Army."

Monica said after careful consideration.

"What about the Federation?"

Artem added after a thought.

"It’s not impossible. Any of these three powers could be involved!"

Monica did not deny Artem’s speculation.

Listening to this, Su Ming’s expression became even more splendid. The Federation supporting the Ghost Shadow Sect? What kind of twist was this?

Things seemed to have gotten even more complicated.

Thinking this, Su Ming immediately spoke up.

"Um, may I ask a question?"

Monica and the others looked at Su Ming with puzzled expressions.

"Go ahead."

"Don’t we have anyone supporting us?"

Su Ming asked curiously.

"Of course, we do. Our supporter is none other than the King of the Awahog Kingdom."

Monica didn’t intend to hide this from Su Ming and replied straightforwardly.

Upon hearing this, Su Ming’s face immediately showed an incredulous look.

"I’m a bit confused. If the King supports us, shouldn’t the City Lord support us too? Why did you suspect earlier that the City Lord might be supporting the Ghost Shadow Sect?"

"The Lord of this city is a very ambitious person. Outwardly, he is a puppet, but in fact, he has been ruling his territory independently for a long time, completely outside the King’s control. Moreover, the loss of control over this city has a lot to do with him!"

"So that’s how it is. Even so, if we have the King’s support, why can’t we beat the Ghost Shadow Sect?"

"There’s a reason we’ve been suppressed by the Ghost Shadow Sect. On one hand, it’s because the Awahog Kingdom’s power is declining, so we’re receiving fewer and fewer resources. On the other hand, those bastards of the Ghost Shadow Sect, they killed my grandfather in the last full-scale conflict, leaving us unable to recover."

Monica’s eyes filled with hatred as she reached the end of her explanation.

Su Ming finally understood what was going on.

"Miss, we will annihilate them sooner or later!"

Perry and the others said one after another.

"Fine, let’s not talk about that. Let’s drink!"

Monica raised her glass.

Inside Starlight City·ST Secret Tunnel.

A specially modified hovercar was speeding along, the path was empty without any other vehicles to be seen, only the cold lighting fixtures above.

As the hovercar reached the end, a fifty-meter-tall black metal gate came into view.

Standing in front of the massive gate were two Fourth Generation Pure Mechanical Mechas·Shadow Slayers.

After scanning the approaching hovercar, the two Shadow Slayers respectfully saluted, and the metal gate slowly rose behind them.

The hovercar flew straight through the gate into a super underground factory that seemed to stretch on endlessly.

What met the eye was a Star Destroyer spanning 220 kilometers, its hull covered in black carbon-metal armor, lined with rows of black launch ports.

The entire Star Destroyer’s exterior was equipped with work platforms where hundreds of thousands of technicians busied themselves with construction.

In the bottom area, rows of heavy-duty transport vehicles pulled all sorts of equipment and materials.

Mid-air, units of Third Generation Mecha·Gun Knights patrolled in an orderly fashion.

At that moment, a black hover car flew straight to a metal platform and landed.

An old man with white hair, wearing a white research uniform, with sunken eyes and protruding cheekbones, led a group of researchers to greet them.

The car door opened, and the Gakels City Lord stepped out.

"City Lord, you’ve arrived."

The old man asked respectfully.

Gakels nodded slightly and replied.

"Mm, Dr. Kadis, how have you been feeling lately?"

"Thanks to your blessing, not bad."

Kadis replied with a smile.

"That’s good."

"City Lord, did you come this time to inspect the new Star Destroyer?"

"That’s right!"

Gakels nodded gravely.

"Please follow me!"

Kadis gestured for Gakels to come along.

Gakels, with his hands clasped behind his back, followed Kadis off the platform and towards the Star Destroyer, which was under construction.

Kadis introduced to Gakels as they walked.

"This new type of Star Destroyer, in its initial design, referenced the Federation’s strongest Star Destroyer, Grey Angel, as well as the Star Hiding and others. It underwent optimized improvements. Its speed, stealth, defense, and attack capabilities are all first-rate, far surpassing all current service Star Destroyers."

"Very good."

Gakels nodded in satisfaction.

"Of course, that’s not the biggest feature of this Star Destroyer. This ship utilizes all of the Federation’s most cutting-edge technologies, equipped with the top-grade equipment. Its surface armor layer is made from the silicon-based metal material of the Mechanical Clan, with a special life activity. Moreover, it’s fitted with two major super power cores; one of them, the Nano-Metal Heart, is dedicated to powering the armor layer, enabling the entire ship to have infinite self-repair capabilities. The other, the Star Core Heart, can supply the ship with surging power! Once this Star Destroyer is completed, it will be the strongest Star Destroyer in the history of the Federation—no, it should be the strongest Star Destroyer in human history."

Kadis introduced with excitement.

"Very well, the Federation’s heavy investment hasn’t been in vain! I believe, as long as this ship comes into existence, it will indeed become an invincible sword in the Federation’s hands."

Gakels inhaled deeply and said.

"Of course!"

Kadis confidently replied.

At this time, Gakels asked.

"How much longer will it take for this Star Destroyer to be completed and delivered?"

"Ten years! It only needs ten years to be completed."

Kadis assured Gakels.

Upon hearing Kadis’s response, Gakels’s brow furrowed and he said in a low tone.

"Ten years is too long, can you speed up the process?"

Kadis was also slightly startled, then said to Gakels.

"Lord Gakels, ten years really isn’t long for a colossus like a Star Destroyer; it’ll pass in the blink of an eye."

"I know, but the situation is increasingly tense, the Federation’s predicament is very bad; we urgently need this warship. Is there no way to accelerate the construction progress?"

"We are already working overtime. Even if we add more personnel, we can’t speed up much more, it won’t decrease the time by much."

Kadis said to Gakels with difficulty.

Upon hearing Kadis’s words, Gakels’s expression grew even more serious, and he pondered for a moment and said.

"I understand that this request is very excessive, but the situation is indeed terribly bad. Think of a way to shorten the construction period; this is very important for the Federation!"

Seeing Gakels speak so, Kadis was silent for a few seconds before replying.

"I’ll do my best!"
