I picked up Shadow Slave cuz my friend recommended it to me, ended up binge-reading it in a few weeks.
The pacing is perfect, the world feels alive, and the character development is top-notch.
Sunny’s journey is one of the most engaging I’ve read in a long time.
Easily one of my favorite web novels.
10/10 would recommend

4.5/5. It is one of the best action+adventure novel out there. The plot is interesting with various unique characters and of course, the magic system is awesome. The author knows how to hook readers using both the plot, magic system, lore and world building...uh? I think it is just good(peak) in every section.
The part which stands out about this WN is that you can "Relate" with the mc. His struggles feel so real.
The writing quality is good in the first 5-6 volumes, but frol volume 7 it's starts getting...a little bit, clumsy. Fights scenes gets dragged too much and author doesn't much follow the "SHOW, DONT TELL" thing.
And the writting quality hasn't been improved since then, so it is kinda tiring to read when pacing is off, but other than that it surpasses other novels in all sections.
So, my final take is, if you have a little patience, only peak fiction waist you

Quel œuvre incroyable, original, attachante et addictif à lire. J'espère de tout cœur de voir apparaître un webtoon ou un anime comme actuellement avec Lord of Mysteries. Sure this novel isn't pefect, but nothing is either. Give it a try and see if you like it yourself.
Undoubtedly the best ongoing webnovel. Better than TBATE, and for sure better than previous Rank 1s.
Sunny is an amazing mc, and as you read his journey, you start rooting for him with your heart. I guess this novel is also affected by negative mass reviews because it's definitely better than 4.5 stars.
Give it a read and you'll understand why it deserves Rank 1.
The MC is so goated , character development is really nice(especially nephis) , world building is phenomenal and the power system is really well designed
