Chapter 92 - 90 | Little Boyfriend

Chapter 92: 90 | Little Boyfriend

"No? What do you mean no?" Blue questioned with a flabbergasted tone, surprised at the level of audacity the Alpha had to say such nonsense.

"I mean no. This is my workplace," the Alpha flaunted his company ID card after saying that. Blue read the Alpha’s name to be Paul Higgins and saw that he was a project manager.

"I don’t know who you are, but I know that you certainly don’t have the authority to control me." The Alpha, Paul, said with a privileged tone.

Blue’s fists tightened on either side. As he lifted one arm to give Paul a punch, the elevator made a ding sound, the doors opening.

Paul didn’t exchange any more words with Blue before he casually walked out of the elevator. Blue was rooted to the spot he was standing, stunned.

’How dare that bastard...’ Blue thought to himself, watching as the elevator doors closed.

His destination was the next floor so he had to remain inside the lift. And even as he stepped out of the elevator after reaching his proposed floor, Blue still couldn’t believe that he had let such a scum slip through his fingers without being beaten to a pulp.

Blue felt that he was really getting more tolerant these days. And he had only himself to blame for it.

Blue navigated his way through the floor in search of Winter’s cubicle. It wasn’t at all hard to find, seeing that the floor was almost empty with people checking off work and that Winter’s work area was surrounded by a group of people laughing and not working.

Blue couldn’t stop himself from rolling his eyes. Whenever he said Winter never worked, the other party always took offense, knowing fully well Blue wasn’t just saying nonsense without proper reason.

Blue was skeptical about going over to Winter’s desk now to prove a point. He had his reasons for this, and the most important of them was that he didn’t have that strength to compete for Winter’s attention against the working Omegas around him.

It had always been this way since the time they started dating at Chestfield. Everyone in the world was Winter’s friend. And no one would willingly be caught dead with Blue standing next to them.

Blue was used to overlooking little things like this, but now... Now, he couldn’t stop his brain from interpreting things negatively and growing anxious whenever he saw Winter with other Omegas.

He knew Winter’s character through and through, but yet...

"Why are you still working? You can leave these files to us. Overworking is bad for the skin." Blue heard one of the Omegas hanging around Winter say as he approached the cubicle.

Blue had to roll his eyes this time.

"No, it’s alright. You guys can just leave me. It’ll be no trouble at all. I like working." Blue heard Winter say with a sickly sweet tone.

He didn’t want to go closer anymore. Winter was already irritating him without them having a conversation. Just as he was about to turn around and leave, a feminine voice said, "Isn’t that your little boyfriend? What’s he doing here?"

Blue glared at the girl who said those words, causing her to flinch back in fear and surprise. What did she mean by ’little boyfriend’??

Winter stood up from his seat, towering the Omegas just to spot Blue a few feet away from his cubicle. Surprise flashed through Winter’s features.

He hadn’t expected Blue to come by to see him. They were on bad terms. He had been planning to branch a flower shop after he checked off work, then easing into a truce with Blue when he got home.

"What are you doing here?" That question rolled out of Winter’s tongue before he could stop them or think about them. Winter hadn’t accounted for the fact that his voice would sound hostile when he spoke or that his facial features would be squeezed with displeasure.

It now seemed as though he didn’t appreciate Blue coming to see him. But he did. He actually did.

The Omegas didn’t have to be geniuses to figure out that their presence was no longer needed. They each gave half-assed excuses before leaving. And by that time, the entire floor was cleared out, leaving only the two of them.

"Do you not want me to be here?" Blue tried to hide the annoyance and desperation in his tone.

"That’s not what I meant," Winter said, stepping out of his cubicle and walking over to Blue.

However, when he was within a close distance, Blue took a step back, clearly choosing not to be in close vicinity with Winter.

"Then what do you mean? Is my presence a bother to you or something? It is, isn’t it? I distracted you from ’working’." Blue said, air quoting as he said the word, ’working’.

Winter frowned at this gesture before saying, "Why do you always assume things? Did I say you’re bothering me? And what’s your problem with me working?"

"Who said I have a problem with you working? And I don’t assume things. Just because I’m smart enough to pick up on the cues you leave around, I’ve now become the one who always assumes things!?" Blue’s voice went an octave higher as he spoke, spooking Winter.

Winter had to glance around the area to check if there was still anyone lingering. Once he was sure that it was truly only the two of them who were left on the floor, he took one long stride to reach Blue.

With a gentle expression and voice, Winter said, "I don’t want to fight with you. I truly don’t want to fight with you."

"Why are you making it seem like I’m here to fight with you??" Blue retorted sharply.

Winter pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed before saying, "I’m not making it seem like anything. Just calm down and let me—"

"I’m already calm! Can’t you see that?" Blue’s face was already red with anger while he was saying this.

Winter couldn’t stop the laughter that escaped from his throat, seeing as Blue was pretending to be calm while puffing out his chest and setting himself in fighting posture. It was so cute.

"Is it funny?" Blue asked with a darkened face.

Winter was still laughing, giving up his composure as he said, "It kinda is."

Blue was enraged as he lifted his hand to land a punch on Winter’s face. However, he was a second too late. Winter had already engulfed him in a hug, resting his chin on Blue’s shoulder.

"I don’t like being on bad terms with you..." Winter whined, tightening his grip around Blue’s waist.

Blue could feel Winter’s heart beating rapidly against his chest. He wasn’t sure if it was because of that or another thing, but Blue felt all his anger dissipate in that moment.

His heart melted into a puddle when Winter began to knead his waist and said, "I didn’t mean to get you upset or insinuate anything bad. Let’s not fight anymore."

Then Winter lifted his head from his shoulder and looked at him, the distance between their faces being less than two centimeters. Even after being worn down by Winter, Blue didn’t show it as there was still a deep frown on his face.

"I’m sorry, okay?" Winter placed a chaste kiss on Blue’s lips.

"Forgive me." Kiss.

"I won’t upset you again." Kiss.

"I’ll do anything you want me to." Kiss.

"Please..." Kiss.

"My love, I’m sorry." Kiss.

That was when Blue finally gave up the ’hard guy’ act he was playing and said, "Ugh. You’re so annoying. Whatever."

A broad smile made its way to Winter’s lips as he said, "Aww. You’re so cute."

He reached to touch Blue’s cheeks but his hands were slapped instead. Winter didn’t let this bother him as he finally kissed Blue the way he wanted to, devouring his lips.

Things escalated too quickly. They had been kissing when Blue’s shirt went missing. He was swept off his feet and placed on a desk without Winter breaking their kiss.

Once Blue realized the path that Winter wanted them to take, he summoned up all his strength and pushed Winter away, wiping his lips with the back of his hand.

"Are you crazy?! You want to do it here!?" Blue exclaimed, attempting to come off the desk and pick up his shirt that was lying on the floor somewhere.

Keywords: attempting to.

Winter trapped Blue by placing both of his hands on either side of the table.

"If not here, then where?" Winter began to nibble on Blue’s ear.

Blue slapped him away and said, "Can’t you see the security camera placed at every angle!? Aren’t you afraid that someone can come in here at any moment and catch us?!"

"So what?" Winter countered.

Blue’s jaw dropped. His surprise didn’t last for long as Winter took advantage of his open mouth and continued to kiss him. Blue regained composure almost immediately, pushing Winter away once again.

"Stop it. I’m not going to sleep with you at the office." Blue said with a firm tone.

Suddenly, Winter held something up with a slyish smile on his face and said, "Then why did you bring this?"
