Chapter 55 - 53 | Sparks

Chapter 55: 53 | Sparks

Adam had said that Blue was absent because he suddenly came down with a severe case of stomach ache. Whereas Winter had seen Blue struggling with his pheromones and looking as though he was experiencing heat.

There was something wrong with Blue and it seriously worried Winter. Winter had gone to the Kent house once again to see Blue. However, the creepy butler of the house told him that Blue no longer stayed there.

After receiving that information, Winter ran mad. He called Adam to hear from him, but Adam also wasn’t aware that Blue was no longer living at the Kent house.

That was when Winter was forced to contact Oliver. It was against his assessment of the guy, but he still did it. Oliver had told him that Blue called him and sounded strange.

That was all Winter needed to hear before he began to intensively search for Blue. His search had led him to Blue’s very own home that he had once been to.

And as the heavens would have it, at the umpteenth time of calling Blue, he finally picked the call. Winter couldn’t be very sure that Blue was okay even after being sassed on the phone by him.

When he got to Blue’s apartment and saw him, there were a thousand things in his mind to say and do to Blue. Yet, he couldn’t do and say any single one of them.

"Whatever I decide to do is none of your business. Get the fuck out of my house, you lunatic!" Blue bit out with an angered tone, trying to drive Winter away.

However, he was woefully unsuccessful as Winter had grabbed both of his upper arms to hold him in place.

"What is wrong with you?" Winter asked Blue. Not in an ’are you sick in the head’ manner, but in an ’are you healthy’ type of way.

Blue didn’t respond immediately, giving Winter the time and opportunity to access him properly. As he had just walked out of the bathroom, the tips of Blue’s hair were still wet and his naturally pale skin was a light shade of red now.

Particularly on his face, which was flushed to the brightest shade of red. Winter thought that Blue was seriously unwell. Winter had no clue that Blue was only that color because he was being held by him.

Blue and Winter were standing so close to each other and even just the slightest movement between the two of them would bring about a kiss. Unexpectedly, Blue wasn’t disgusted by the possibility of that happening.

In fact, he welcomed it.

It’d seem like it had only been yesterday when he was pressed down by Winter and had been kissed by him several times. The memory was still fresh in Blue’s memory and body.

A tickle ran down his spine as Winter’s breath fanned his face.

’Fuck. This can’t be happening to me.’ Blue said to himself, chastising his own stupid thoughts starring Winter.

"Let me go." Blue said, his voice didn’t come out as harshly and boldly as he had intended it to be. Instead, his voice was soft. And the way he said his words made it sounded as though he wanted anything but that to happen.

"Tell me what’s wrong, I can help you..." The soft words slipped out from Winter’s mouth as he let go of one of Blue’s arms and reached to touch his face.

The second his fingertips made contact with Blue’s cheeks, there was a zap, electrifying both Blue and Winter, causing them to jump apart from each other.

Blue blushed with embarrassment and anger. Why was he reacting this way? It was so unbefitting of him. Blue hated that Winter was able to ignite sparks within and outside of him.

In fact, he hated that there were any sparks at all! What did they mean? What did it mean??

"I still don’t know why you’re here and I don’t want you to be here anymore. So- so leave!" Blue said, his eyes never meeting Winter’s own as he didn’t have enough courage to stare into those eyes that were able to undo the decisions he made for himself.

"What if I don’t want to leave?" Winter suddenly said, provoking Blue to lift his head and look at him. "What are you going to do about it?" Winter closed the distance between himself and Blue as he said those words.

Blue’s immediate reaction was to take a step back in response to Winter’s bold actions.

"You lunatic, this is an invasion of privacy. Do you think you can just come in here and—"

"What about you?" Winter cut in.

Blue frowned and said, "What about me?"

"Aren’t you also invading my privacy?"

Blue was about to ask how, when Winter said, "I close my eyes, you’re there. I lie down to sleep, you’re there. Whenever I’m trying to do something important, you’re always there—invading my mind and making a place for yourself in my thoughts as though my head belongs to you."

Blue’s lips parted with surprise. He had absolutely no idea what to say in response to Winter’s words. In fact, he couldn’t even comprehend Winter’s words properly.

"What about that? Don’t you think it’s annoying? To think about one particular person all night all day, no breaks. I think it’s infuriating. It seriously bothers me..." Winter trailed off without completing his sentence.

Blue didn’t even have the courage to ask for the rest of Winter’s statement. Fortunately and unfortunately, Winter completed his previous sentence.

"It seriously bothers me that you’re standing here right in front of me without being on all fours or underneath me writhing with pain and pleasure."

A bomb exploded inside the room after those words were said.

(Mini theater):

Winter: You owe me. You need to pay.

Blue: I don’t recall taking any money from you.

Winter: You took my heart.

Blue: ???

Winter: I accept payment in sexual favors.

Blue: ?????

Winter: You can also pay back with your own heart.

Blue: *walks away without looking back*
