Chapter 51 - 49 | Isolation

Chapter 51: 49 | Isolation

School was back in session. And after the incident at the Kent House, Winter and Blue kept their distance from each other. In fact, Blue kept his distance from everyone in his life, including Adam and Oliver.

So, he was in for a lot of explanation when he arrived at the Empowerment club’s room for their first meeting of the new session. There was still some time before the meeting would begin, so there were only a few people in the club room for now.

Oliver and Adam forced Blue to sit down on a chair at the extreme end of the club room and stood in front of him, blocking his view of the club room.

"What the hell, man? I couldn’t get to you all summer and you swagger in here casually as if you own the world. What’s wrong with you?" Adam spoke in a whisper, but from his tone, it was easy to guess that he was not in a good mood.

"I just needed some space to think about stuff," Blue nonchalantly responded.

Both Oliver and Adam frowned.

"What stuff? You even instructed the butler to never let us in. Bro, what the fuck?" Oliver said, trying as much as he could to restrain himself from exploding with annoyance.

During the summer, he and Adam had gone to the Kent House several times to meet with Blue, but they were always turned down with the words, "The youngest master is not feeling well and has requested for isolation. I’m afraid I’ll have to send you two gentlemen away."

With the creepy old butler saying those words on several occasions, Oliver had thought that Blue must have been locked up in his family’s basement and getting torture.

Same with Adam. They had even gone the extra mile to report to the police. But since Blue was in his family home of his own accord, it wasn’t like the police could demand entry into the Kent house and drag Blue out of it.

In summary, Oliver and Adam had been seriously scared for Blue. And seeing him act like he hadn’t thought about their reactions while deciding to isolate himself from the world was making them extremely angry.

"Can you guys stop stressing over this? I’m here now, and I’m fine as you can see. So chill." Blue said with a firm tone. But he was lying.

Fine? He was far from fine.

Blue raised the collars of his turtleneck on instinct, feeling discomfort on his nape. Adam looked at him strangely, causing Blue to instantly let down his hands and cast his gaze to the other side.

"Did your family... Did they do anything to you?" Adam lowered his voice as he spoke, looking at Blue intently.

Blue rolled his eyes and said, "What could they do to me?"

His father was already a living vegetable. His two brothers were too busy catering to his father and trying to balance their work lives to worry about him. As far as Blue was concerned, the Kent family couldn’t touch him—even if they wanted to.

"Gosh... I can’t believe we were worried sick about someone like you." Oliver said under his breath, pushing his hair back.

Blue raised his hands, as if to say, ’Don’t blame me.’

On cue, people started to file into the club room, causing the three people to put a pause to their conversation.

"We’ll talk about this later. Don’t leave the club room after the meeting." Adam pointed at Blue as he spoke with a strict tone.

Blue nodded his head, even though he had the opposite plan in his head. Oliver affirmed to Adam’s instructions and headed out of the club room. Oliver wasn’t a member of the Empowerment club.

Though he liked to call himself an honorary member of the club since he was always present for their rallies and conventions.

Adam walked to his desk at the front of the room and arranged the things he would speak about today. Once left alone, the discomfort that Blue was feeling at the back of his neck intensified.

"Fuck." Blue cussed to himself.

He grabbed his bag from the floor and unzipped it, searching through it aggressively. After a moment of not finding what he was looking for, Blue began to smell the scent of vanilla mixed with honey.

He paused. Then he sniffed the air around him.

"Fuck!" Blue exclaimed this time as he shot up from his seat and dashed to the exit of the club room.

"Hey! Blue! Where’re you going!?" Adam called after Blue, but Blue had already raced out of the club room, ignoring his calls.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." Blue kept on cussing as he ran in the direction of the nearest restroom. His head was spinning and his pheromones were driving him mad and angry.

Blue finally reached the restroom. He locked the door from the inside, forgetting to check if there was anyone inside the stalls or anyone outside with the intent to use the restroom.

Blue quickly fixed himself in front of a sink and emptied his bag into it. Among the notepads and stationery, Blue searched for his suppressants. But he couldn’t find them.

He then remembered that he had emptied his last bottle the previous night and told himself he would get a new one from the store as he was coming to school today.

However, he had totally forgotten to get new suppressants.

Blue’s pheromones filled the restroom as he grabbed the sink slab tightly.

"Fuck." Blue cussed again as the pain at the back of his neck surged once again.

Just then, he heard a knock on the restroom’s door.
