Chapter 26: 25 | Alpha-Omega Relationships

[O. P: Our Sunshine Prince has really been through a lot. If you don’t know already, the matter is that ever since our Sunshine Prince mistakenly crossed paths with Ice King, Ice King has been continuously bullying him fiercely!

Just the other day, Ice King forced Sunshine Prince to run after him after bad mouthing him in front of a large crowd.

And just yesterday, Ice King wanted to beat up Sunshine Prince under the cursed tree! Fortunately, Sunshine Prince was saved by a couple who came to the tree to do ’you know what’.

Now, the matter is that, why is Ice King bullying our Sunshine Prince? Jealousy? Random hatred? Or is it because he has a crush on him?]

[O. P, kindly go wash your eyes and brain. Ice King bullying Sunshine Prince because he has a crush on him?? I would sooner graduate with a 5.0 g. p. a before Ice King has a crush on any Alpha, not to talk of Sunshine Prince. P. S, I’m a freshman with a 1.5 g. p. a.]

[I feel like Ice King bullies Sunshine Prince out of jealousy. They’re basically the opposite of each other. Ice King is such a villain.]

[You guys should take into account that they were under the cursed tree and are an Alpha-Omega duo. I’m not concluding anything, I’m just saying we should take those facts into account.]

[Upstairs, throw away your keyboard since you clearly don’t know how to use it well. So what if they’re any Alpha and Omega?! Sunshine Prince is an angel. Ice King is an embarrassment to the Omega gender! Nothing about their relationship will ever conform to the normal ways of Alpha-Omega relationships!]

[Just a passerby here. I feel like the two of them have chemistry. One is good, the other is blackened. If this were to be a novel, they would be the MCs of a romance world.]

Winter put down his phone after reading that last thread. Right on cue, Blue settled down on the chair across from him.

After that nosy couple spotted them underneath the cursed tree yesterday, things quickly blew out of proportion. The foolish couple had assumed that Blue wanted to beat him up, then they dragged him away, warned Blue off him, and ’saved’ him.

Because of that nonsense, Blue and Winter had to postpone their conversation to today. And since it was a Saturday, there were not really many people in Dot’s Café.

Other than their personal table, only two other tables in the café were occupied.

In front of Winter, Blue was wearing a black top with white shorts. As for Winter, he was dressed as he always was—in expensive elegant clothes that gave him a gentlemanly and scholarly air.

"Hi..." Winter greeted Blue politely.

Blue didn’t reciprocate to the greeting.

"I want us to wrap this up really quickly, I have somewhere to be." Blue said. Winter’s face fell.

Blue always made him feel as though he was too enthusiastic and eager! Why did he never match his energy!?

"Okay..." Winter simply said.

Then Blue frowned and said, "I thought I told you not to pretend in front of me. If you have something to say. Just say it. Don’t bottle things up. What we have going on isn’t going to work unless I understand your true self."

Winter looked at Blue and saw that the latter was wearing a serious look on his face. It was going to be a little hard for Winter to be his ’true self’.

He was far too used to faking smiles and swallowing up his words. The only person he didn’t pretend in front of was Logan. And the reason why he was able to do such was because he had been friends with Logan for the longest time.

The urge to be perfect in front of Logan was basically non-existent. But in front of Blue, Winter wanted to be viewed as someone with zero flaws and imperfections.

Yet, his flaws and imperfections were all what Blue wanted to see. This was going to be slightly difficult for Winter.

He let out a sigh and said, "You’re really selfish. You act as though the entire world revolves around you and anyone outside of your personal bubble is useless and dumb. You want everyone to nod and agree to your own beliefs which is a fucking bullshit logic in my opinion.

"You need to stop acting like you’re the one doing me a favor here. I want to believe that we’re on equal grounds as partners here. Stop treating me like I have nothing else to do but show up in front of you and do everything you ask of me blindly, okay?"

As soon as Winter opened his mouth, the words began to pour out. His tongue moved faster than his brain. At the end of his rant, he saw that Blue’s face had darkened considerably.

It made a cold shiver run down Winter’s spine.

’I didn’t do too much, right? He won’t call off our deal because of this, right? Right??’ Winter thought.

"Okay. Noted." Blue simply said with his eyes cast on his lap.

A pang of guilt struck Winter’s heart and he wanted to slap his mouth. This was why he always pretended! If he said the true things that were going on in his mind, no one would want to be near him!

"I didn’t-"

"That’s the kind of honesty I appreciate." Blue interrupted Winter’s sentence, surprising him with his words.

Winter nodded at that without saying anything.

"Anyway, I’ve worked a way around our schedules and since exams are going to be over soon, we’re going to have more time to meet up. For now, let’s stick to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings, okay?" Blue spoke professionally.

Winter nodded without a thought. He was sacrificing the evenings of his weekends just to get closer to Blue. Blue’s hole better be worth it at the end of the day.

Winter opened his mouth to ask for the location where they would be meeting up but someone suddenly towered over the side of their table.

Winter lifted his head to check the newcomer and his face instantly grew sour.

"Blue, what a surprise to see you here!"
