Chapter 144 - 142 | Winter Loves Me

Chapter 144: 142 | Winter Loves Me

Blue’s chest burned with indescribable intensity. His entire body trembled as he wheezed.

Tear drops splattered on the asphalt ground, rolling down from Blue’s eyes.

"No, hah, it can’t be. Winter w-wouldn’t..." Blue tried to convince himself that he’d seen wrong.

He shook his head in denial.

Winter couldn’t chest on him. Winter loved him. Winter lovedhim. Winter promised that he’d never get tired of him. Winter wanted to spend the rest of his life with him.

It didn’t make any sense for Winter to cheat on him.

And yet, the image of Winter cupping Kendall’s face replayed in Blue’s head. His thoughts began to spiral, his mind conjured up more images of Winter doing intimate things with Kendall behind his back.

Kendall had told him that he didn’t like Winter anymore. And that he wasn’t the type of person to get in between other people’s relationships, so why?

Why hadn’t he pushed Winter’s hand away? Why hadn’t...

Blue stopped himself from trying to blame Kendall. And he tried to stop himself from thinking too negatively.

Blue managed to straighten his back and wipe his tears. He should stop assuming things. What if he was just being in over his head?

"Stop it, Blue. Stop it." Blue said to himself with a parched voice.

It could just be that he’d seen wrong. He could just be overreacting. Maybe it was the intense mood swing the doctor told him he would experience that was causing all of this.

Maybe he was thinking too much.

"Winter would never. Winter loves me." Blue sounded like he was desperately trying to convince himself of this in order not to lose his mind.

He sniffled and dried his tears completely. He was a grown man. He couldn’t be crying all the time. This wasn’t the way he used to be.

"Crying never solves anything," Blue reminded himself.

’But it did feel good to cry, didn’t it?’ A voice came up in his head.

He didn’t disagree with the voice. But he didn’t completely agree with it either.

"It’s better I confront them instead of assuming," Blue steeled his nerves, remembering what Winter had said to him a few days ago.

He could ask Winter anything. And Winter promised he’d answer. He never implied that he’d answer honestly. But an answer was an answer, wasn’t it?

That was how Blue managed to compose himself and go around the alleyway, returning to the café.

Like the universe wanted to ignite drama, Kendall and Winter were walking out of the café the very moment Blue resurfaced.

Kendall wasn’t wearing a smile on his face like earlier, and the two people looked like they were uncomfortable in each other’s presence. Blue didn’t seem to notice this as he blocked their way with narrowed, reddened eyes.

Blue didn’t know it, but his entire face and countenance revealed that he’d cried earlier. His eyes were red and puffy. So was his nose, and on his cheeks were traces of dried tears.

"Blue, what are you–"

"Blue, you’re–"

"What’s going on here?" Blue sharply cut off Winter and Kendall abruptly with his own question.

Winter was quick to react and said, "Oh, I was just meeting up with an old friend."

Winter didn’t even pretend to put on a cordial smile on his face as he gestured at Kendall with the tag, ’old friend’.

Kendall glanced at Winter with a raised brow as if questioning, ’Really, Winter? Old friend? Really?’

Winter turned his head away from Kendall’s judging gaze. Blue only narrowed his eyes at them even more.

"You said you were working," Blue pointed at Winter in accusation.

"And you didn’t respond to my texts or pick any of my calls," Blue switched to Kendall.

"That’s because my phone’s not with me. I left it at home." Kendall quickly said, emptying the pockets of his coat and trousers as proof.

Blue’s gaze didn’t relax the slightest bit.

"What about you?" he questioned Winter.

"What about me?" Winter countered, oblivious to Blue’s simmering anger.

"Why are you here? With him?" With these words, Blue made it obvious that he was suspicious of them and didn’t like them being together.

Though he’d told himself that he wouldn’t assume things, Blue couldn’t stop himself from accusing them now that he was seeing them together well.

Kendall was quick to understand the situation and jumped in front of Blue, waving his hands.

"No. No. No. No. No. It’s absolutely not what you’re thinking!" Kendall exclaimed.

"And what am I thinking?" Blue asked with an icy tone.

"Blue, you’re causing a scene. Can we talk about whatever this is somewhere else?" Winter spoke up softly, glancing around them.

They were standing in front of a café where people were walking in and out, and passersby on the streets were inching to get in on the drama.

However, Winter placed his words very wrongly according to Blue’s ears.

"What do you mean? I’m the one causing a scene?? Not you who seems to be sneaking around with your ex and ’having coffee!?’" Blue raised the volume of his voice, air quoting at the words, ’having coffee.’

Winter’s jaw locked as Blue’s words registered in his head. "What in the world are you talking about?"

"What am I talking about?! What are you talking about!?" Blue turned around Winter’s question.

Kendall’s face twisted with discomfort. This was the one thing that he did his best to prevent and now...

"Blue, I know things look weird but just calm down and–"

"Don’t touch me!" Blue reacted aggressively, slapping away Kendall’s hand that was reaching out to him as he spoke.

Kendall retracted his hand with a pained look on his face.

"Blue, stop it. Come with me." Winter grabbed Blue’s hand in an attempt to drag him away.

"No! Don’t touch me! It hurts!" Winter’s grip on Blue’s hand was so tight that it made Blue struggle in pain.

"Winter, what are you doing? He’s pregnant. Be gentle, don’t–"

"Mind your business." Winter said to Kendall coldly, then ignored Blue’s protests of letting go of him as he dragged Blue to where he parked his car and stuffed him inside.

Winter locked Blue inside the car and went to settle down on the driver’s seat. He hadn’t even shut the door properly when Blue punched his jaw with full force.

"How dare you?!"
