Chapter 110: 108 | Two Months
Color made its way back to Blue’s vision once again, but the first thing he saw wasn’t the floor of Winter’s place.
Instead, he saw a pure white ceiling. His nose easily picked the scent of disinfectant and misery. He was at a hospital.
Blue immediately sat up straight. He was too fast in his movement and oblivious to the fact that there was an IV connected to his hand.
"Ow!" Blue exclaimed in pain as he lifted his hand to look at it. The needle had shifted in his vein.
Just then, someone stepped into the room. It was a nurse. She quickly assessed the situation and rushed to fix the needle.
Blue noticed that the bruises on his knuckles had been treated with bandaids slapped over them.
"Why am I here?" Blue thought to ask the nurse.
With her attention on the drip, the nurse said, "You fainted and your Alpha brought you here."
It was a very vague response. Annoying enough to put a frown on Blue’s face.
"Where is he? The person who brought me here." Blue said with a coiled stomach. Winter was not his Alpha. Not anymore.
"With the doctor in charge of you. I’ll go tell them that you’re awake now." The nurse excused herself after saying those words.
Blue let out a heavy sigh and used his free hand to press down on his forehead. He was feeling so exhausted. But why did he pass out?
As soon as the thought made its way to Blue’s head, the door to the room opened up once again and from it, two people walked inside.
A doctor in white and Winter behind him. Both were wearing serious expressions on their faces. No. It seemed like whatever was going on with Winter’s expression was more than serious.
He looked like he’d met a dead end while being chased by ferocious wolves. It was that serious.
"Mr. Kent," the doctor acknowledged Blue as he scanned him.
"We ran a few tests on your body when you were unconscious to find out the reason why you fainted." There was a pinched expression on the doctor’s face as though he was about to deliver bad news.
Blue couldn’t help but internally roll his eyes. He had no family, no job, a pheromone disorder, and an apparent unrequited love. Could there be any more lows left for him to reach in his life??
"Your pheromone disorder seems to have gotten severe and you’re on the edge of advancing to grade three. Also, you’re pregnant. The alcohol in your system is not good for your system. And your entire body is–"
"Wait a second. Hold up. Wait." Blue stopped the doctor from ranting. "Did you just say pregnant?" he asked with a horrified voice.
"Yes. Two months in." The doctor responded without hesitation.
"WHAT?!" Blue’s voice went two octaves higher as his eyes darted to look at Winter.
At this time, Winter’s gaze was set on the floor. As though he was embarrassed to look at Blue. Blue’s fists tightened.
Pregnant. How could he be pregnant? He and Winter hadn’t done anything without prote... Blue didn’t get to complete his line of thought as the image of being pressed down against a table at Winter’s workplace formed in his head.
Blue’s jaw ticked. He looked at Winter again.
Unfortunately, this was the same time Winter thought to lift his head, and he was able to meet Blue’s hateful glare.
"As I was saying, your entire body is in a very unstable state right now and any sudden moves could–"
"Can I get rid of it?" Blue cut into the doctor’s words.
"Get rid of what?" The doctor questioned.
Blue’s hand unconsciously made its way to his stomach before he said, "The thing inside of me."
"Are you insane??" Winter finally spoke out, stepping forward to chide Blue.
Blue didn’t even spare him a glance as his attention was fixed on the doctor and his next words.
"You can’t. With the kind of pheromone disorder you have, keeping the baby is going to be more beneficial to your health. And also, getting rid of it poses a great risk to your life." The doctor explained.
"So you’re saying I have no choice but to keep the child?" The veins on the side of Blue’s head were throbbing as he asked this question.
The doctor cleared his throat and said, "You can decide not to keep the child. But there is a ninety-eight percent chance of you not making it alive and well after the procedure."
Blue used his free hand to grab the sheets on the bed after hearing those words.
Pregnant. With a child. That he couldn’t get rid of.
Just when he thought that he couldn’t meet any more lows in his life, this kind of thing happened.
Blue looked at Winter. He didn’t know what emotion he should be feeling towards Winter now. Anger? Hatred? Happiness?
There were so many things running round Blue’s head, making it hard for him to think properly.
"Keeping the child is your safest bet. And please, during this period of pregnancy, refrain from taking alcohol and suppressants. Your pheromone disorder has gotten worse because of the amount of suppressants in your system.
"That kind of thing can kill you, don’t you know? It’s already bad for a regular Omega to overdose on suppressants. A pregnant one doing such a thing is just seeking an afterlife." The doctor lectured.
The words he was saying were entering one of Blue’s ears and going out through the other.
"I’ll give you time to make a decision." The doctor said with a hurried tone before rushing out of the room.
There was no point staying as it looked that the Alpha and Omega were about to get into a serious fight.
In the doctor’s absence, Blue could finally turn into the vicious tiger he’s always been.
"You bastard, how could you do this to me!?" Blue accused Winter.
He briefly searched for something around him that he could pick up and used to hit Winter, but unfortunately, there wasn’t anything. So he had to stick to using only words to express his anger.
"How could I do what?" That ignorant question of Winter finally made Blue lose it as he realized that there was a pillow behind him, prompting him to grab it and launch it towards Winter’s empty head.
"Get me pregnant, you idiot!"
