Chapter 963: 012 Blurted Out_3
Talking business with Michael Auclair was just so she wouldn’t know about this and get heartbroken. How much did he think she loved Michael Auclair?
No, that’s not the point. The point is, when did he return to the country? And how did he find out about this matter? It’s only been a few days since he went abroad, and he was even able to help her handle this.
"Sister, sister, why aren’t you saying anything? Just now..." Giselle Browman wanted to explain, but she really didn’t know how to now, she was on the verge of tears.
All she could say was that her sister’s ability to draw out information was too strong. She just gave her a box of egg tarts, and she spilled everything.
"Giselle, tell me honestly, was it Bernard Taylor’s idea for you to go work at Taylor Family, or was it your classmate’s idea?" Giselle Browman’s words carried so much information that she didn’t know where to focus her attention.
"... Bernard Taylor." Oh my god, could her Sister Avery not be so smart?
"Alright, I’ve got it; let’s go out to eat," Avery Graham nodded. She really didn’t know that Bernard Taylor had been paying so much attention to her behind the scenes; Giselle Browman kept saying how much Bernard Taylor loved her.
In fact, not only had Giselle Browman said it, but even Bernard Taylor had expressed it himself. She didn’t know why she had never seriously considered this question before, but today, her heart felt an inexplicable stir.
Perhaps it was because of Michael Auclair’s previous relationship with Adelle Turner, and then Michael Auclair’s proactive breakup with her. Now Giselle Browman was saying Bernard Taylor did this for her, forcing Michael Auclair to break up with her.
All these matters were quite complicated, her mind was so simple, she really couldn’t sort them out for the time being.
"?" Three big question marks appeared at the back of Giselle Browman’s mind. She talked so much, and Avery Graham was so calm. Indeed, she would never reach her sister’s state even if she cultivated for another twenty years.
No wonder someone as otherworldly as Bernard Taylor could like her sister so much.
The two went out for steaks. Avery Graham drove, taking Giselle Browman to the most uniquely decorated steakhouse in the City District. There was actually one near their residential area too, but it was more suitable for kids, and she didn’t want to go there.
The steakhouse was the most expensive in the city. Giselle Browman touched her shriveled wallet; she planned not to take her salary this month in order to resign sooner. So, was tonight’s dinner going to cost her one-third of her salary?
She was a bit reluctant to spend that much.
Avery Graham quickly noticed her penny-pinching expression and smiled, "I’m treating you today, don’t worry. Whatever amount of money you brought, you can take the same amount back home."
"..." Giselle Browman chuckled. She did care about her wallet, but it wasn’t as exaggerated as Avery Graham said. But Sister Avery was indeed richer than her, she had to admit that.
In this society, how many women dare say they want to buy a house solely with their effort?
When they arrived at the entrance, they ran into Adelle Turner who had hurried over.
Adelle Turner received a text from Jollie Auclair, knowing that Michael Auclair and his family were dining here. She came to pretend it was an accidental meeting and also to pay the bill. The arrival of Jollie Auclair would bankrupt her, but luckily, since she became the team leader, her salary had increased. She was ready for a little bankruptcy.
Because Adelle Turner arrived quickly, she didn’t notice Avery Graham and Giselle Browman. As she walked in, she almost bumped into Avery Graham, and they both apologized to each other.
When they looked up, they realized it was each other.
"Well, well, Team leader Adelle, your salary has gone up, and so has your way of spending, treating people at places like this, huh?" Giselle Browman said with a hint of sarcasm.
"Seems like it’s none of your business." Adelle Turner didn’t want to engage with Giselle Browman. She looked at Avery Graham; she heard from Jollie Auclair that Michael Auclair had broken up with her. She thought she would have to wait a long time for this day, but she didn’t expect Michael Auclair to break up with Avery Graham so soon. "I heard he broke up with you, Miss Avery; I’m sorry, I know it’s shameless of me, but I really like him a lot. And, I met him before you, so I won’t let go."
"Well, I wish you both happiness together," Avery Graham said calmly.
"..." Adelle Turner could hardly believe what she had heard from this woman. She actually said so nonchalantly, telling them to be happy together.
