Chapter 955: 010 Ugly Face_5

Adelle Turner left the work plan and tasks, then turned and left.

Giselle Browman just watched Adelle turn around, then grasped the work plan in her hand, "Adelle, I’m giving you a count of three. If you still want this plan, you come get it yourself, or I’m throwing it directly into the trash."

"...What did you say?" Adelle turned back, her complexion looking awful.

"Are you deaf?" Giselle Browman pursed her lips in a faint smile, a smile filled with irony, and then, in two or three movements, she tore what she so-called the work plan into several pieces.

"Giselle Browman, have you lost your mind? This is work." Adelle wanted to scream. There was only one copy of this work plan, which she had stayed up late to finish because she forgot to save it, meaning if it’s gone now, she would have to redo it all.

She truly hadn’t expected Giselle Browman to have the audacity to act so recklessly.

She had never thought of her as such a person, and now, how could she have become like this.

"Look carefully, what is this?" Giselle Browman waved the resignation report in front of Adelle, "So, for your so-called crappy job, go find the person you should find, don’t look for me."

Having said that, Giselle Browman turned and walked away with an air of nonchalance. She was now heading straight for Michael Auclair’s office, and if he didn’t approve, she would take it to the next level.

"Giselle Browman, you should know, even if you resign, you need to give a month’s notice. Do you think you can just leave as you please?" Adelle chased after her. Did this woman not know the company’s rules?

If the company blacklisted her and she got a black mark on her record, it would be nearly impossible for her to find a good job in the future.

Could it be that after being an office worker in a foreign enterprise, Giselle Browman now wanted to sweep the streets?

"My business, you don’t need to worry about. This month’s salary, I don’t want it," Giselle Browman declared generously.

She was in a bad mood now, and had a bad temper, so it was better not to provoke her.

Otherwise, she would lash out at anyone she caught.

... Adelle could only watch as Giselle Browman entered Michael Auclair’s office. This woman was truly daring.

To avoid this humiliation, she could give up such a highly-paid job just like that.

When Michael Auclair saw the resignation report handed over by Giselle Browman, the joy that had been on his brows became a tight frown.

Before Giselle Browman entered, he had been seriously examining the project cooperation agreement that Bernard Taylor had given him. Worried that Bernard would set him up, he had even had a lawyer verify it, and now he was sure that he would make a profit on this project.

So, he was contemplating when would be the right time to call Bernard. Since it was inevitable that he was going to break up with Avery anyway, and Avery was destined to be unobtainable, taking a million dollars was not bad at all.

Actually, the deal was quite worthwhile. He had thought of marrying no one but Avery, also because the people around her were either wealthy or noble, allowing him the chance to bask in their glory by being with Avery.

Since that possibility was gone, receiving a million dollars from Bernard was like picking up a bargain. He knew that if Avery saw the video in Bernard’s hands, they would surely break up.

Since the outcome was the same, why not choose the most profitable option?

"You want to resign? Giselle—" Michael Auclair had been thinking about how to negotiate with Bernard, and he hadn’t yet figured out a solution for the issue with Giselle Browman. But now, Giselle had taken the initiative to approach him.

"Yes, Mr. Auclair," Giselle Browman nodded, then saw the expression on Michael Auclair’s face and smiled knowingly inside, "Do you think the deal with Bernard Taylor is very worthwhile, that’s why you were so focused just now, right? Trying to scheme more out of Bernard sneaky-like. Tell me, Michael Auclair, how can you be such a person? Such behavior, you’re nothing but a scumbag."

... Michael Auclair was criticized to the point of bewilderment, and besides, she was actually calling Bernard "brother." Had Bernard told Giselle Browman about all this?

That Bernard, so despicable, not keeping his promise. Wasn’t he given a day to think about it? There were still so many hours left in that day, and he had already let someone else know.

"How am I a scumbag?" Michael Auclair suddenly wasn’t afraid anymore. With things having progressed to this point, he didn’t need to shamelessly plead with the sisters anymore. As for Bernard being so sinister and manipulative, he would make Bernard reap what he sowed, "I’ve been dating your sister for more than a day or two now. Who doesn’t hold hands or kiss when they’re in love? It’s your sister, pretending to be pure, like she’s something special, this can’t be done, that can’t be done."

... Giselle Browman was so angered she almost spat blood on Michael Auclair, "My sister is traditional. Are you saying you prefer women like Adelle Turner, who are like public buses, that any man can ride?"

The office suddenly became quiet because Adelle couldn’t stay outside, so she had found a work-related pretext to come in and snoop. Then she heard Giselle Browman’s furious shout, causing her face to flush, then turn pale.
