Chapter 894: 018 Perfect Happiness (The Grand Finale of this Volume)

Celia’s wedding was held ahead of schedule, on a good day that wasn’t May Day. According to Ryan Parker’s plans, this day was definitely not the day Aunt Flo would visit, so he believed there would be a particularly beautiful wedding night in store.

The groomsmen Ryan found were all clever and quick-witted, able to shield him from drinking too much and handle social interactions, so he wouldn’t have too hard a time during the fetching of the bride.

The bridesmaids Celia chose were mostly from Carolline Ruiz’s circle, like Avery, Mia Parker, and Little He, three bridesmaids were enough.

They all knew just how hard-won the relationship between Celia and Ryan was, so they decided beforehand not to play pranks on Ryan Parker the way they did with Bryan Hawkins, knowing that such a man didn’t have it easy. If they went too far and caused him to lose his memory, Celia would surely be murderous.

So, for the sake of their own lives, they decided to let it be.

Little He, in particular, was close to both Celia and Ryan, and while the groomsmen were circling outside with the bridesmaids in the morning of the wedding, she had already let Ryan in through another entrance.

Avery Graham wailed that there was a mole within their ranks.

In the end, Ryan Parker didn’t go through any hardship or have to do any physical labor; he just effortlessly whisked his bride away. Of course, the Parker Family was generous, giving a hefty wedding gift.

Not to mention the bridesmaids’ money gifts, even the guests who came to watch the ceremony received a decent amount.

With everyone’s hands soft from receiving gifts, they didn’t make a fuss about the groom taking the bride away by an unconventional route.

Carolline and the others came over on a chartered flight the day before. Initially, separate bachelor and bachelorette parties were planned, but it turned into a joint celebration with friends for both the bride and groom. Since Carolline was pregnant, Bryan Hawkins was unwilling to let her come alone, insisting on staying by her side for fear her friends would encourage her to eat things not suitable for pregnant women.

Ryan Parker also didn’t want Celia to be exhausted by Avery and the others, so he stayed by his wife’s side, too. Thus, while it was still a party, they were heavily restricted and, after playing for three hours, everyone went home.

Celia went to bed early and rose early, getting a good night’s sleep.

Due to time constraints, the wedding wasn’t as grand as Carolline and Bryan Hawkins’s, but with Marcus Parker and Anna Turner overseeing it, it was still quite a lavish affair, with all aspects thoroughly prepared.

The wedding didn’t differentiate between Western and Chinese styles; there was a church ceremony followed by a lunch banquet. The banquet was arranged by the largest wedding planning company in Kyoto and was very lively.

Meeting both sets of parents, and the customary calling of uncles and aunts as mom and dad, was done publicly. Both families prepared generous gifts, making the ceremony vibrant and entertaining.

Compared to the average wedding, it was more meticulous but, relative to Bryan and Carolline’s wedding, everything was simplified. Firstly, due to the hasty timing, things couldn’t be arranged extensively. Additionally, Ryan Parker didn’t want to tire himself out, let alone the bride, as everyone knows it’s the bride and groom who get exhausted by the wedding.

As the wedding ceremony concluded, it was time for the bride to toss the bouquet. Avery sat in her place, not wanting to fight for it, no matter how much Carolline pulled at her, she wouldn’t budge.

When Celia stepped up to toss the bouquet, she had already calculated Avery’s position. So, even though Avery sat in her own spot, the bouquet was thrown her way.

Carolline smiled, "What’s meant for you will find you."

"Here, you take it," Avery pouted at Carolline.

Carolline promptly turned her head away.

Next was the part where the bride and groom go to toast the guests. The Parker Family had many guests, but Ryan Parker didn’t want to toast too many, so he had not let Marcus Parker invite too many people.

Between the two of them, they only invited their closest friends.

Thus, today’s wedding was, relatively speaking, not too exhausting.

However, when they returned to their new home that evening, Celia was still so tired her back ached, taking off her high heels, she began to rub her feet.

Ryan saw this and naturally took over, "You’re still quite tired, aren’t you?"

"Yeah, a little. Everything was simplified, I can’t imagine how Carolline made it through her wedding day." That day, as a bridesmaid, she felt it was quite tiring to cope, let alone Carolline, the bride, who must have been exhausted.
