Chapter 815: 006 Celia Wade is here

Now, it was Jordy Wade’s turn to be stunned. So, there had been a fire at the orphanage?

Because of the fire, Anna Turner thought she had died, while her biological father, Marcus Parker, had no idea of her existence?

He could understand Anna’s explanation. To protect Marcus, to prevent him from carrying the notorious reputation of being ungrateful, abandoning his wife and child, she hid her existence, even concealing her birth.

He believed there were women in the world who were hopelessly in love; emotional women like Anna were more likely to do such things.

Then, did he remember the fire from before he lost his memory, and how exactly did the fire happen?

After giving it some thought, Jordy felt a splitting headache, and reached out both hands to cover his head.

"What’s wrong, do you have a headache?" Anna noticed Jordy’s condition immediately. Seeing his actions, she rushed over and handed him a glass of water, "Don’t think too much, have some water, and don’t strain your brain."

"..." Jordy looked up at her and didn’t refuse her kindness.

After taking some time to calm his emotions, he knew he needed time to adjust his mindset. He didn’t know if what Anna and Marcus had told him was true, but he genuinely felt they had no reason to lie to him.

So, it wasn’t that Anna had abandoned him, and Marcus had been innocent all along, unaware of his existence?

If that was the case, did they deserve forgiveness?

Therefore, the most pressing matter was to recover his memory. Everything would be fine once all his memories returned.

At that moment, Jordy suddenly missed Celia Wade intensely. If she were by his side, maybe he wouldn’t feel so helpless. At least, she could give him some sensible advice, instead of him analyzing these problems alone, still uncertain whether what he had heard was true.

After the three separated, Marcus contacted an expert from the Neurology Department abroad, and Jordy was sent back to the hotel to rest. Anna discussed with Marcus that she would go to G City to bring Celia Wade back.

After some thought, Marcus accepted the plan and decided to go with Anna.

When they got home, they booked tickets to G City for the next day. Even though Marcus still harbored some misgivings, just as Anna had said, she loved him, and he loved her too.

Despite her previous actions being nothing more than what she thought was best for him, the past was past. Whether he accepted it or not, he had to. Anna had not had it easy through all these years; on one hand, she had to hide that they had a child, and on the other, she mourned the child she believed to have died early.

Thinking like this, Anna endured much more pain than he did. At least, he had always been unaware, never knowing their child had come into this world and then lost, and now recovered once more; he didn’t have such ups and downs.

Therefore, he should consider himself fortunate.

Their tickets booked for the next morning’s flight.

After booking the tickets, Marcus called the Parker Family’s butler to cancel the Spring Festival’s Eve dinner. This year, he didn’t want to have the dinner at home with his three sons. If possible, he hoped to have it with Jordy.

He just didn’t know if Jordy would fancy having it with him.

Regardless, the most important thing now was for Jordy to have the surgery. The expert he hired should arrive within three days, after all, there was no Spring Festival abroad.

After making the call, Marcus saw Anna lying on the sofa, looking somewhat exhausted. He walked over, sighed, and embraced her, "Don’t think too much about it. Now that things have come this far, we’ll take it step by step."

"Marcus—" Anna was moved. The reaction Marcus had back at the hospital let her know he was angry with her for hiding such a significant matter from him. She had thought Marcus would remain angry for a while, but she hadn’t expected him to come to comfort her so soon, "I’m sorry, you can scold me, however you want."

"Sigh..." Marcus comforted her, "Silly girl, how could I bear to scold you? You have done so much for me, sacrificed so much, you even gave birth to our child behind my back, such an outstanding son. I’m truly happy. You don’t know, none of Alexander, Zoey, Jack, or Oscar, none of my other sons, impressed me. I always admired Jordy, I thought back then his determination was comparable to mine from younger days. I never imagined he would turn out to be my son. Anna, when I first heard the news and learned about Jordy’s experiences over the years, I did blame you at that moment. But after thinking it through, I feel that the person I should be blaming is myself."
