Chapter 810: Chapter 810 Mysteriously Familiar (6)

In the intervening years, they hadn’t seen each other, and yet Ellie Wilton seemed to have always been waiting for him. When he arrived, she would follow him, no matter where he placed her.

However, he never knew that Ellie had prepared a huge surprise for him. But suddenly, the surprise ceased to exist, and then Ellie took the initiative to have him send her abroad, not wanting to stay in the nation.

Because being home made her too sad, staying here would only remind her of her prematurely deceased son. She believed that with time, Marcus Parker would definitely find out.

At that time, everyone thought that Mrs. Parker didn’t like Ellie, the mistress, and forced Marcus to send Ellie away. In reality, it was Ellie who voluntarily chose to go abroad, and Marcus was the one who couldn’t bear it.

She didn’t know how long it would take to heal this pain. All she knew was that, even if it took her entire life, she would owe her son and feel guilty towards him.

If time could be rewound, perhaps she would choose to be honest and return with her son by his side.

However, time could not be turned back, and her retribution was losing her son and suffering for a lifetime.

"I know, it’s okay, I’m fine now. I’ll wait for you to have lunch together, so I’ll hang up first," Ellie’s mood improved significantly after the call with Marcus Parker.

"Alright, see you in a bit," Marcus also hung up the call.

After hanging up, he stood in place for a while longer, "Someone come."

Marcus’ driver and personal assistant immediately approached, bowing respectfully and called out, "Mr. Parker."

"Investigate everything about Jordy Wade for me. Hmm, he used to be an orphan, find out how he became one." Marcus wasn’t interested in the events after Jordy left the Wade Family and got involved with Avery Saunders. He was eager to know this man’s past.

"Yes."

Having calmed her emotions, Ellie walked outside. Strangely, she still wanted to see if Jordy was still there. As she stepped out, she found that the man had already left.

Ellie didn’t quite understand her own feelings. Was it relief? Or was it loss?

Originally, she had thought that if he was still there, she would continue to chat with him, even if it meant thickening her skin.

After leaving Ellie’s Café, Jordy wandered aimlessly forward.

If he kept refusing to confront the truth rationally, then resolving his memory recovery could be indefinite, and Celia would keep waiting for him.

No, he couldn’t let Celia wait too long. Even if facing them made him extremely uncomfortable, for Celia’s sake, he was willing to endure the discomfort.

Having realized this, Jordy forced himself to walk back toward the Café.

However, just as he reached the entrance of the Café, he suddenly felt a darkness before his eyes and collapsed to the ground.

The doorman promptly noticed and called over the manager, who first notified Ellie. Rushing out from the office room, Ellie saw Jordy collapsed at the threshold of her shop. She directed someone to call for an ambulance while asking for anyone with first aid knowledge to check on him.

At the sight of Jordy unconscious, she inexplicably felt heart palpitations and was momentarily at a loss on what to do.

A barista with some knowledge of first aid tried to help, but to no avail. The ambulance arrived relatively quickly, within twenty minutes. The accompanying doctor asked for family members to follow to the Hospital, so Ellie grabbed her handbag and got into the vehicle.

After finishing a meeting, Marcus left the group’s headquarters. As he approached the Café, he called Ellie, only to discover she was at the Hospital. Marcus grew anxious; how did she end up at the Hospital?

After inquiring, Marcus instructed his driver to head to the Hospital in the City District.
