Three days after Mia Parker left was the National Day.

The Ruiz Family resumed their gatherings, but they didn’t ask Carolline and Bryan Cooper to attend. After all, Carolline was a married daughter, so it wouldn’t make sense for her to return to her parents’ house on the exact day of the holiday. Although Carolline’s grandfather was her paternal grandfather, he still belonged to the maternal side, not the paternal side. Therefore, he was quite clear about the traditional customs.

However, the day before National Day, Mrs. Hawkins called to announce that they would be going to York City, as Camelia Hawkins was getting married.

Carolline was surprised because she hadn’t heard that Camelia was in a relationship. Yet, this girl’s actions were quicker than anyone else’s, as she announced her marriage directly. Since they had to go to York City a day earlier, Carolline had to arrange her holiday in advance as well.

Luckily, Gary Skate was on her side. When Carolline requested to take a day off earlier, he agreed without hesitation. His attitude was a lot better compared to his previously indifferent demeanor.

On National Day, many unexpected things happened. When Carolline saw Joseph Patel, her intuition told her that he was an outstanding man and even radiating charm wouldn’t be an overstatement. However, he wasn’t the type Camelia would like.

Her intuition didn’t last long, as soon after, they heard about Camelia fleeing from the wedding. When Joseph lifted the bride’s veil, the guests might not have noticed, but the Hawkins family knew that the person was not Camelia Hawkins.

As a result, Carolline then learned about Camelia’s twisted love story in bits and pieces. Thankfully, the lovers finally got together in the end.

That day, Camelia’s escape from the wedding made Mrs. Hawkins very angry. It was the first time Carolline saw the old lady so angry. Fortunately for Camelia, they received a call that Madelyn Lincoln was giving birth. The original storm subsided, and the sky cleared instantly.

Bryan Cooper arranged for them to take a private jet back to G City. When they arrived, Madelyn Lincoln had already left the delivery room, and boy-girl twins were lying in their baby carriage. William Hawkins was particularly smug.

Especially when he saw Bryan Cooper, he said, "Big Brother, you’ve always said it would be two nephews, right? Come, let me show you my daughter."

Carolline and Madelyn Lincoln: "..."

Madelyn felt quite embarrassed, as her husband was showing off and making them lose face.

Carolline saw Bryan’s gloomy expression and couldn’t help but think how William enjoyed throwing himself into a confrontational situation. However, who could blame him when her husband had confidently declared that he didn’t believe they could have a daughter?

At this point, it was only natural for William to gloat.

Carolline didn’t want to watch the two brothers continue their face-off. She moved between the two baby cots and looked at the two little treasures, "Have you picked names yet?"

"Not yet," Madelyn shook her head, "but since Axel has ’ou’ in the middle, we thought we’d make it simple and choose just the last character."

"Really? Then let me give you the name I thought for my daughter beforehand. How about Avery? What do you think?" Carolline asked quietly so that a particular someone wouldn’t know she used the name originally intended for their daughter.

Men could sometimes be as difficult to appease as children, so Carolline decided not to trouble herself further.

"Yes, sounds great. Thank you, sister-in-law," Madelyn smiled and nodded. "I also thought of a name for my son—Aiden Axon."

Avery and Aiden Axon, she wanted her daughter to be happy and her son to have ambition when he grew up.

"That’s great!" The two women chatted, and in doing so, they decided on the names for the boy-girl twins.

Carolline knew that as long as Madelyn liked the names, William wouldn’t have any objections. So, she turned her head and quietly called out the nicknames, "Avery, Aiden Axon."
