The nurse didn’t say anything when Carolline came in. They entered the ward together. Jasmine’s anesthesia hadn’t worn off yet. Bonnie held her daughter’s hand, her eyes filled with tear-streaks.

"Uncle, Auntie, please try to control your emotions. Sister Jasmine is the one who is suffering the most. When she wakes up, she’ll need your support." Carolline spoke to Ryan and Bonnie.

"Yes, Carolline, we know. But after what has happened, we... we just can’t control ourselves." Ryan, a man in his fifties, also felt that tears were inevitable.

He hadn’t been able to cry in front of so many people before, but now, they were all family. Raymond and Felix were here too, and Carolline and Bryan weren’t outsiders either. He could no longer hold back his tears.

"..." Carolline understood and said, "Brother Raymond, Brother Felix, don’t all stay here. I think you should go and find Christopher. No matter what happened, as a husband and a father, he should be here."

"Alright, we’ll go look for him." Raymond and Felix agreed. They had asked Bonnie about Christopher’s whereabouts when they first arrived, but she had been unable to provide any information, leaving Ryan clueless as well.

"Okay." Carolline nodded.

"Don’t bother looking for that bastard; I want a divorce." Jasmine’s anesthesia had worn off before the two could leave. She opened her eyes and hissed through clenched teeth.

Her once big belly was suddenly empty. She obviously knew what had happened, and she hadn’t felt the familiar fetal movement for a long time. Her anesthesia had actually worn off not long after she entered the ward; she simply didn’t want to open her eyes and face the reality. But now, as soon as she heard Christopher’s name and thought of everything that happened before the incident, she was filled with rage.

Everyone was taken aback, and Bonnie couldn’t stop crying.

She truly hadn’t expected that Christopher wouldturn out to be such a scoundrel. That night, he left before he even finished his dinner. For several days, he would leave at night and only return in the early hours of the morning.

Such glaring abnormal behavior screamed infidelity, which everyone could guess. Late that evening, after nine o’clock, Jasmine kept calling Christopher. She was still carrying his child, yet the man was spending nights away from home. Her patience had limits.

So, Jasmine kept calling him incessantly. There seemed to be an issue on the other end; his phone wasn’t switched off, but he just wouldn’t answer.

Later, at ten o’clock, Jasmine received a video from an unknown number. It showed Christopher and a woman naked together, enraging and humiliating her.

Bonnie, watching the video, smashed her phone on the floor and cursed Christopher for his shamelessness.

Then, Jasmine clutched her stomach, saying it hurt. Bonnie saw red fluid flowing from between her legs, and she immediately panicked. She called her husband for help, while her two sons were also at home. They rushed Jasmine to the hospital.

Ryan was at a loss and called Henry. Henry was at the old mansion with the master, so the master naturally found out about the incident. The entire Ruiz family was notified and rushed to the Hospital.

Only Christopher, the actual culprit, hadn’t arrived yet. Bonnie had tried calling him, but his phone was switched off.

Afterward, Bonnie told everyone what had happened that night. Jasmine’s miscarriage was caused by Christopher’s infidelity. Naturally, she didn’t want such a man anymore.

"That Christopher is a real fucking bastard." Ryan gritted his teeth. "Raymond, Felix, come with your father. Let’s find that bastard."
