Chapter 696: Chapter 696: Character Issues (2)

"Of course, transfer to Dr. Ruiz’s name. Is that okay?" Carolline Ruiz said with a smile.

"You think your old man is too idle these days, don’t you?" Henry Ruiz glanced at his daughter. From the moment Carolline came to him about this, he knew what she would say next.

He didn’t mind having one more patient, and besides, he had been treating that kid for several years already.

"So, you’ve agreed, Daddy. Thank you." Carolline smiled. "I’ll tell Celia, she’ll be so happy. Oh, and I need to arrange for a room too."

"Go ahead, go ahead," Henry Ruiz waved his hand.

Carolline made a phone call to Celia Wade. Celia was very grateful to her on the other end of the line. She told the doctor in charge there that the transfer would take place within a week at most.

After hanging up the phone, Carolline saw Gary Skate standing not far away, looking at her with a smile on his face. It was a pleasing expression, completely different from the aloofness he had shown when he first appeared in front of everyone.

Carolline wasn’t sure how to react. The man before her was her supervisor and her husband’s good friend, and she didn’t know what face to use to face him.

"Carolline, it was really a misunderstanding. Bryan Cooper said you’re still mad at him." They had made up last night, but someone hadn’t told his friend, so Gary didn’t know that they had already made up. Carolline seemed quite upset, even though it had been several days since the incident.

"Is it a misunderstanding that you two conspired against a woman?" Carolline snorted and pressed the elevator button. She was about to leave work, and she was hungry. She planned to change and go home for dinner.

"..." Gary Skate was at a loss for words and didn’t know how to respond. "Well, Bryan Cooper just thought you were working too hard, so he wanted you to quit and become a full-time housewife. Actually, there’s nothing wrong with being a full-time housewife. What do you think?"

"By the way, Dean Skate, how’s it going with Miss Li? Congratulations! Your two families are very well-matched, and Miss Li is quite innocent." Carolline directly changed the subject. These men could just outright say that a full-time housewife had nothing wrong with it.

How many full-time housewives had suffered because of men in this world? Anyway, she didn’t have the blessing to be a full-time housewife.

"I was forced to meet her that day. We’re not each other’s type, so there’s nothing to celebrate," Gary Skate said awkwardly. He didn’t know that his blind date had been seen by Carolline.

Anyway, Carolline already knew about his relationship with Bryan Hawkins, so it didn’t matter if she found out. They were all in the same circle.

"That’s your own business, Dean Skate. There’s no need to tell me the details." The elevator arrived, and Carolline stepped out. Gary followed her, and the nurses who hadn’t left work yet watched Gary chasing Carolline in amazement.

"Why are you following me? Don’t you know that the gossip in our hospital spreads fast?" Carolline glared at Gary who had caught up with her. She didn’t want to be the protagonist of gossip anymore, alright?

"Didn’t the most gossip-prone person in our hospital already go to Africa?" Gary asked in response. He knew about Charlotte Clark’s situation. "If anyone else is that gossipy in the future, I can use the same method too."

Carolline rolled her eyes at Gary. He was indeed the same type of person as her husband. She opened the door and went in, then slammed the door shut in front of Gary’s face.

If Gary’s movements were a little faster, his nose would have been hit by the closing door.
