"Don’t forget my 20 million when the time comes, otherwise, I’ll make you regret it," Jane Auclair reminded her.

"Rest assured, I’ll definitely give you the 20 million." Shen’s mother didn’t mind giving the money away at this point.

She loved money, but sometimes, there were things more important than money.

The two reached an agreement and stopped talking, each sipping their coffee. Jane Auclair played with her phone, not needing to take part in the child-stealing. All she had to do was place the child elsewhere after the fact.

Now the two were in the same boat, sharing the same fate. Jane Auclair’s ultimate goal was to make Cole Duncan regret, regret treating her so resolutely and being so generous and magnanimous to Daisy Willow.

Having a great time at the City Zoo, Daisy Willow, Cole Duncan, Katie, and Elena Duncan never imagined that there were always several pairs of eyes closely watching them from not far away.

"Elena, I bet Brother Kent would’ve also enjoyed himself if he came," Elena said while tightly holding onto Daisy Willow’s hand during this busy summer vacation trip to the zoo.

"You’re still thinking about Brother Kent right now?" Daisy Willow pinched Elena’s little nose. She’d initially wanted to bring Kent along but decided against it after some thought.

"Let’s rest over there for a bit," Cole Duncan pointed to the rows of benches.

Everyone agreed, and Katie pushed Cole Duncan over, while Daisy Willow and Elena followed. "Are you hungry, Elena? Do you want Auntie Katie to buy you something to eat?"

It was not early anymore, and it had already been an hour and a half since they queued up to buy tickets and saw a few animals. It was now 10:30am. To look around the City Zoo thoroughly would likely take until the afternoon.

"No need, I’ve brought some food in my backpack," Daisy Willow took down her backpack, which contained bread, biscuits, yogurt, and more.

Daisy Willow took out the yogurt and shared it with everyone.

After resting, Cole Duncan went to the restroom. Since Katie was a woman and couldn’t accompany him, he went by himself while Daisy Willow took Elena to use the restroom as well. Katie remained in place to wait for them.

By the time Daisy Willow and Elena came out, Katie had already gone in.

Cole Duncan took quite a while in the restroom. Katie had come out quite a while ago but still hadn’t seen Cole Duncan leave.

After waiting a few more minutes, Katie grew anxious. "Lady, I’ll go find someone to help check inside, please wait here with Elena."

"Okay, you go quickly." Daisy Willow felt that Cole Duncan took quite a long time too.

With only the mother and daughter left, Elena wanted ice cream. Not able to refuse her, Daisy Willow took her to an ice cream shop where Elena ordered a blended strawberry and chocolate flavored ice cream. Daisy Willow ordered a milk-flavored one for herself and a strawberry flavor for Katie.

As she was about to pay, a hand reached out from nowhere and snatched her wallet. Daisy Willow was alarmed and instinctively chased after the thief. After running a few steps, she told Elena to wait for her at the entrance of the ice cream shop.

The thief didn’t run very fast, and with the help of some people who tried to stop him, Daisy Willow quickly caught the man who had snatched her wallet.

After being caught, the thief didn’t struggle and returned the wallet to Daisy Willow. She thanked those who had helped and, not intending to call the police, ran back to find Elena.
